We can all agree that today was Arsenal day, they had everything they hoped for well almost everything, they won their match against Aston villa despite going down twice in the match.

Also Manchester City who sat on top before todays weekend fixtures played a draw away against Nottingham forest, picking up a single point this puts Arsenal in top position and a game at hand.

It's great to see Arsenal back on track. even though they were left behind by a quick goal from Aston Villa, in the end they were able to make a comeback and win the game over Aston Villa. this result is very important, not only to remain at the top of the standings but also to revive the mentality and confidence of the players. the reason is, the Gunners' young squad had experienced a crisis of confidence, after obtaining poor results in four matches in all competitions. and yes, Arsenal are back at the top of the Premier League standings even though they are only two points away from their rivals, Manchester City.

On the other hand, it was unexpected that The Citizen had to be willing to share one point with Nottingham Forest. whereas, City had taken the lead in the 41st minute by Bernaldo Silva's goal. unfortunately, City were unable to hold on to the score until the home team equalized in the 84th minute. with this result, City must be willing, the leader of the standings was taken over again by the young squad of The Gunners. As an Arsenal fan, I'm very happy.

It was my sincerest hope that Arsenal should win, and they didn't fail to impress. I was somehow worried about their recent performance having a toll on the game, but am glad they came back strong.
With this result, am sure their hopes of being the champion is half answered.
On the other hand, Liverpool FC won with a 2goal margin with an assist for the second goal from Salah who has been off radar for sometime now. The still got some spirit, let's hope this is a start of a good winning streak.

A draw in Nottingham vs Manchester City is a big surprise. City have been impressive in form in recent matches and it seemed that they would grab an easy 3 points today. From the course of the match, it also looked like it was only a matter of time before the visitors scored again. Nottingham's game consisted mainly of clearing the ball out of their own penalty area, with the occasional attempt to counterattack. And one of those few counterattacks brought the desired goal. Manchester players themselves are to blame, because there were plenty of opportunities to score goals, and some wasted situations today, such as Haaland's, should not have happened to them.

What is going wrong with Chelsea still? I really can't figure out how they lost to Southampton in a home game.

Chelsea normally shouldn't have given them much chance during the game to them. But the opposite happened. Southampton found many chances to score and they benefited from one of them. Despite being the worst team in the league on paper they still managed to win this challenging game for them. I think Potter's time is slowly running out already. We might see Chelsea parting their ways with him in the summer.

Chelsea's match today was just boring for me. This is not the Chelsea I once knew. No drive. Azpilicueta was looking dangerous in the first half but couldn't get the goal for the team. Southampton would have scored more goals if they knew what they were really doing, because they missed good set plays, they couldn't handle the offence calmly and lost the ball too easily. It was almost as if I was seeing a college football tournament.
Chelsea's manager, Graham better do something fast.

Newcastle has been playing a lot of draws lately... Of their last five matches they have two wins and three draws... At a time when Liverpool could win only one out of five away matches... I think Newcastle will win today... They're in very good condition now and Liverpool won't be able to do anything... In any case, Newcastle should not lose...

The most that can be expected from this match is draw, but since Liverpool's performance is not convincing, then Newcastle's victory can be expected. Newcastle have been the better team this season and they are strong enough to stay in the top 4 of the table compared to Tottenham, Liverpool and Chelsea. Newcastle is the strongest team in the Premier League this season with only 1 defeat in 22 matches. But because they got 11 draws, they are only stuck in the top 4.

Obviously Liverpool will find it difficult to grab points from Newcastle as they have been so inconsistent this season. Liverpool striker's goal productivity is very low, it is only 1.7 goals per game. So I guess you're right, Liverpool will lose to Newcastle and we'll have to wait and see.

Yes, I was sure Newcastle would win too... But the funny thing is, as I've written before, Newcastle haven't lost 21 home games in a row and the last loss was to Liverpool... And today history repeated itself... Liverpool beat Newcastle away again... I was also surprised by Man City who couldn't beat Nottingham Forest...

Arsenal back to the top position Primer League standing after last mast loss their position and today have advantage after winning from Aston Villa and another match Manchester City held draw by Nott Forest. Its seems comfortable awhile for Arsenal existing in first standing position and have one match left with 2 points behind Manchester City.

Up coming several games later seems Arsenal on the lucky trend because against with easy team and potential keep existing few weeks later on the top standing position. Inconsistency performance from Manchester City actually give benefit for Arsenal back to standing position and have chance again to be Primer League winner for this season.

This week was very beneficial for Arsenal that's for certain. Because while they were winning Manchester City lost two points in a very simple game for them.

However Arsenal's win wasn't easy at all though. Firstly there was a goal duel by both teams. Saka's goal was the most impressive one to me honestly. His shot was so effective that the goalkeeper was really desperate about saving it. But while we were closing in on the end of the game Aston Villa wasted two big goal chances. I think that it was the breaking point of the game. Because right after these incidents Arsenal scored two goals in the stoppage time. Jorginho's goal was a really impressive and lucky one at the same time.

Aston Villa are no joke they are a good team and I do not think it will be easy for Arsenal but I do think they will win.

Aston villa already with a goal ahead, making things more difficult for us. Good thing Arsenal were quick to respond, thanks to Saka we are back leveled. We cannot afford to loose this very important game else our title hopes are gone. I like as Trossard was allowed to start, it shows the intention of our coach that he has no plans to draw or loose this game. If we can get ahead before halftime, that will be great.

Well, I am surprised that in the 33rd minute of the game Arsenal was behind the score, I also saw that Dibu did a good job on goal, but really Arsenal was attacking very hard, the game was very exciting, Arsenal played very desperate I know that when a team is behind the scoreboard it looks more desperate, but Arsenal made 3-4 touches in defense and immediately put the ball in midfield, sometimes they gave the ball away, it's difficult to play like that because there is no control .

You have to play a game with more calm, one thing is speed and another is that they get out of control because there is no vision of the game, Aston Villa were much better, although sometimes they played with the ball and it did not go well for them, a counterattack is made with more measure.

Anyway the game for Aston Villa got out of control, because Arsenal equalized and then scored 2 incredible goals. The last goal was because Dibu was already at the other goal waiting for the last play of a corner kick, and the Arsenal player got away from them and scored the goal.

Arsenal profit from Man City draw to return to the top

A second-half fightback from Arsenal at Aston Villa, mixed with Manchester City being held at Nottingham Forest, put the Gunners back at the top of the table in yet another twist in the title race.

After losing their match and their position as leaders to Man City in midweek, Arsenal showed character to come from behind twice and score two stoppage-time goals in a thrilling 4-2 victory at Villa Park.

Chelsea again had to swallow defeat at home after Southampton could score one goal at the end of the first half and they could not equalize. Chelsea's front line is really in big trouble when they can't solve the problem when they are stalemate in attack. This is their 4th bad result after the previous 3 matches they could only get a draw. Also this is their second defeat in a short period of time after they lost their Champions League game against Borussia Dortmund.

Very difficult to understand why Chelsea play this bad even though they have a great and expensive squad which was brought in a few months ago
Unfortunately the contribution of players like Felix and Fernandez is not optimal they have missed many points in the last 5 matches including today defeat
If Roman Abramovich still holds Chelsea obviously Graham Potter will be fired earlier because he was considered a failure.

They are back in first place now and it is things like this that are really difficult to predict because we know that Manchester City is very superior but must be willing to play a draw with Nottingham Forrest which is indeed beyond the predictions of almost everyone.
On the other hand, Arsenal's game was also a little cramped because indeed they were only able to take advantage in extra time, which fortunately was 3 points.
Now the conditions have reversed after last week in favor of Manchester City now back again to Arsenal.

Graham Potter is a good coach, only for mid and lower teams. At Chelsea, he is still confused about which players to play because there are many top players. But what I see is that even though this season Chelsea have played inconsistently, if they attack they are very attractive, but the problem is in finishing. Unlike last season, relying on wingers or wing backs when building attacks.
Chelsea is still in a bad trend with its luxury team, Man City is in a draw and Arsenal are back at the top. The English league is extraordinary.

Arsenal is a bit more relief and in advantage right now regardless of the little gap they have over City, having won their game today and have Manchester City Draw theirs, with a total of 23 games played so far, while for City today's game is their 24th game.
I love the fighting spirit that I saw in the Arsenal team today which keeps them pressing on, great job because a lose today would have rendered all the whole effort in vain if City had won their game or as they played draw.

With their victory over Aston Villa and Manchester City's draw with Nottingham Forest, Arsenal will feel a little reassured of lifting the premier league trophy. Today's win for Arsenal marks the end of their four-game losing streak at least. A 2-goal differential against Manchester City is a good one, and if they defeat Leicester in their subsequent game, they will have a 5-point lead over Manchester City.

Am anticipating for Arsenal to do another magic as they did today against Aston Villa, to win against Leicester on 25th February

It is so wonderful to see arsenal returning back to their position, I never thought Arsenal would be able to win this game in the first half of the game and when Aston villa was leading the game.  It was so surprising that arsenal could score more two goals during 80 minutes of a game, so impressive.

Chelsea lack creativity and good finishers. If they get a world class striker right now their problem will be 50% solved. If they get a world class striker and a world class creative midfielder then their problem is 70% solved. The problem will be solved 100% when they sack Potter and hire a better manager.
Potter is not a bad coach, he's just not a coach for top teams, that is why he was awesome at Brighton and awful in Chelsea. I have said it time and again that Chelsea wont achieve anything this season with Potter as their coach. I even believe he is confused at this point because he's got so many options to choose from.
If Chelsea can do these three things I mentioned then they would be ready to compete.

1. A good manager and
2. A good finisher for there number 9 shirt.

It's not obvious as to how much quality or Chelsea have got on there team but still, they aren't winning games and those can be trimmed down to the points have stated above.

This was the phase for Manchester United before Ten Hag. They had everything and just wasn't winning. Chelsea needs to work out a good manager and
They would need a player like Victor Osimhen in there attacks. Then they would have some good chance at the league.

Too bad i turned off my television when they were at 2-2 thinking it would be a draw and my decision not to watch extra time seemed wrong in the Arsenal game.
But on the other hand, even though it was like that, I was still happy because with this my bet went well and of course it was a very good thing for me personally.
Now it's turning back in favor of Arsenal after last week many still doubted them including me considering the previous 3 bad results but with this win they are back on track they should be.

The English premier league is a tough one with full competition from both the superior and inferior clubs. There's enough actions to witnessed in the League. Chelsea having a terrible moment in league games, with good performance but they didn't deserve the result they got today. Southampton camed prepared for the blues with backup defendlines on the pitch. Graham Potter blamed and criticized by the fans due to to the poor results the club is having, but it's just time. Concerning Manchester city and arsenal for the title race, it's really unpredictable for which team to be crowned champions of the English premier league.

If Chelsea continue their winless streak, which has already reached 5 games, then I'm not sure that Potter will last even until the summer. They have an away game against Tottenham, then a home game against Leeds and a decisive game against Dortmund. My guess is that if Chelsea don't get 7 points in these games (where 3 will be in the game against Dortmund) then Potter's time will expire.

If you remember how Roman Abramovich was still the owner of Chelsea he doesn't care who is the coach, when defeat continues it will be fired  
Luckily at this time the owner of Chelsea is Todd Boehly he still gave a chance at least until the end of the season, I guess.
Chelsea is one of the teams that spends the most money this season unfortunately their performance has never improved.
