Looking at the EPL standings this week, two teams from the city of North London are in first and second place, which makes Spurs and Arsenal even more confident about continuing to be consistent this season. Both Spurs and Arsenal are still undefeated until the 8th week and of course this competition between city teams will continue in the future if there is no draw or defeat for them. I didn't expect the arrival of coach Ange to be so positive, it made the Spurs players appear more consistent this season and they became more confident since the previous series of wins. For Arsenal, architect Mikel Arteta also doesn't want the same mistakes as before to continue to haunt his players and he brought this team to the peak of its performance and at least can continue to dominate the EPL by continuing to beat other teams. Let's see how long these two North London teams will survive considering that Manchester City and Liverpool still have the same opportunity to shift their position.

This season is really going to be very competitive than last season because most teams are really gunning it out for the Tittle,we have about six teams that are really serious contenders to the Tittle.They are Arsenal,Mancity, Liverpool, Totthenham, Newcastle and Briton.I don't want to mention Man u because they aren't really performing well this season,and if care is not taking,I'm not seeing them quality for any European competition next season.Briton have a chance than them in anything European competition.However,it is still too early to talk about who will qualify and who will not.It is just an idea and opinion.

Yes, we usually call these teams the "Big Six" and it is not surprising that every season these teams will continue to compete with each other to win the title. Indeed, we cannot include Manchester United or even Chelsea in this category at the moment because their situation is still in chaos until the 8th week. Putting in new names like Newcastle and Brighton is indeed feasible, but to win the EPL title it is still too soon and maybe their focus is only on getting a place in the Champions League. In fact, if we talk about the biggest opportunity for a team to win the EPL title, it is still held by Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool, even though Spurs are now at the top of the standings, this is still quite doubtful.

Fans demand ridiculous stuffs from Harry Maguire and it amuses me always, Maguire has proved himself over and over again, in less than 20 starts under Ten Hag, Maguire has won over 16 games and kept cleansheet in halves, with his only performance coming against Sevilla last season. Lindelof, Martinez keeps starting league games despite awful games  and performances in the league this season.

The Englishman have puts alot of energy and hardwork to perform incredibly in his last games featured. He said himself about fighting for his shirt in Old Trafford, I now believed him. Harry Maguire have proven to be a better version of himself after his key cross to McTominay injury time, good heading to make it 2-1. That led to Manchester United reclaiming the glory at Old Trafford once more from the hands of Brentford. Maguire is gradually earning back the trusts from supporters and Erik Ten Hag, but he has to be strictly consistent in games if he's desperate to be continously included in the starting line-up for the Red Devils in games.

I'd say Chelsea and Manchester United won't be in the top four of the points table this season. Liverpool are now fourth in the table. Liverpool's points are 17. On the other hand, Manchester United's points are now 12 and Chelsea's points are now only 11. Reducing this 5/6 point gap is much more difficult, as the teams at the top of the table have all performed very strongly and regularly. To everyone's surprise, the Tottenham team is now at the top of the points table. United and Chelsea coaches should only try to stabilize their team's performance this season. They have no need to go to the top of the table. They need to prepare their squad from now to perform well next season. And they should plan for the long term.

The problem for United and Chelsea is not the number of points (there are still many rounds ahead) but their poor performance and so far it doesn’t look like the team’s coaches can do anything about it. Bookmakers currently rate United's odds of finishing in the top 4 as 4.50 and Chelsea's chances as 5.0. And in my opinion, even these odds are very optimistic - after all, the top 4 is already occupied by strong teams, plus there are Newcastle and a couple of underdogs (Brighton and Aston Villa) which will be difficult to overtake.

With Arsenal's performance since the beginning of this season I just have to give it to them that they did a very good job not minding them being 2nd on the log. Since the return of Gabriel Jesus from injury to me I think he has been at the top of his game, he still have that hunger to play and get more goals for the Gunners, it might not be coming as expected but he has been contributing to the Arsenal side.
With Napoli on the mix of getting him (Gabriel Jesus) in replace of V. Osimhen that's if the Nigerian doesn't pens down a new contract and the Gunners are also interested in getting V. Osimhen, is not like Napoli want a swap deal, they just want G. Jesus and is like Arsenal want a swap deal. Like who's this deal going to favor the most? Because as it is, to me Jesus is not really a striker but play him from the wing as a manager he'll deliver but V. Osimhen is just the full package, so to me I think the Gunners will benefit more from this deal that's if it pulls through by January.

After Arteta left Manchester City, Pep Guardiola started to consider about a traditional striker and finally he convinced Manchester City boss to buy Erling Haaland. Mikel Arteta is affected a lot by philosophy of Pep Guardiola and I am not surprised if he is considering a traditional striker like Osimhem for his team.

With Arsenal style, Gabriel Jesus fits well as he can play as a forward or even an attacking midfielder. However if Arsenal need changes, big changes, they will need a striker like Osimhen who can score more goals for them but will contribute less for their tactic and squad operation. Like Haaland in Manchester City, his main task is scoring goal and if he can not score goal, usually he gets a bad match as he barely makes assists.

But even now I feel Arsenal are very good with the players they currently have. In fact, I feel Arsenal has become stronger than last season. Even though Arsenal is currently ranked 2nd, that's true, it doesn't matter. Because I am sure that in the near future Arsenal will rise to 1st place in the standings. If Arsenal buy Osimhen, it won't happen in the winter transfer but will be in a next summer transfer. Buying a player in winter transfer market is risky as a new player will not have enough training time to adapt to a new club and new team mates. Arsenal will have to pay big transfer cost for Napoli to have Osimhen so they will wait for the summer.

I am still quite sure that his brilliant performance in the match against Brentford was still not able to make him the main choice in many other Manchester United matches because he already has a strong stigma as a player who often makes mistakes, but it is true that what he did in that match was enough to make United happy because his assist ensured victory over Brentford because if not then Manchester United would get another unpleasant result at Old Trafford.
However, there are still many shortcomings in United's squad, as evidenced by the two goals scored in injury time, so they almost lost that match, but luckily they were able to survive the defeat and get 3 points in the home match.

Harry Maguire had good form and composure against Brentford, but I'm sure Manchester United fans are not completely satisfied with his performance. Ten Hag must give Maguire the opportunity and trust to prove his quality and abilities instead of killing his character, that is what will make him grow and play with good confidence.

In fact, Manchester United is not only about Maguire and all players who get the opportunity to start must give their best throughout the match. They must support each other instead of blaming each other and this team must be united for one goal, namely winning the match. If this is really achieved then I am sure this team will not appear as selfish as in the previous few matches.

I think Maguire had a good moment in the match against Brentford. Varane was not at his best and Martinez was still struggling with his injury, because of these conditions, Maguire got the opportunity to play as a starter. What made it meaningful was that he made an assist which gave Man United a very valuable victory. I think with his current performance, Maguire will get more opportunities to play as a starter.

Man United still is not in good condition, therefore, they must continue to make improvements, and try as hard as possible to get victory after victory which of course can increase their self-confidence again.

Its quite obvious that this seasons premier league title will go to Arsenal.

The season is just starting, and only eight matches have been played. Arsenal's performance is not really bad. I am not convinced yet that the league belongs to Arsenal because Arsenal won against Manchester City, does not means they will win the league. We all saw what happened last season. Arsenal stayed in the first position for a very long time when almost everyone believed that Arsenal would win the league, but towards the end of the league, everything changed and they started performing so poorly. I can't really conclude yet about the club which is going to win.

Chelsea is not included in this chapter, they wont see up to 35% ball possession against Arsenal in their next head to head.

Chelsea will be playing against Arsenal in their next match, let's wait and see how the match goes, but I don't think it will be an easy match for Arsenal. There is really improvement in Chelsea's performance, and I am sure Chelsea will do everything possible to get at least a draw in the match. Chelsea is unpredictable, and they shouldn't be underestimated because of their poor beginning.

But still it can affect their players positively because of the victory they had and also motivate their coach to trust them in times of selection, I can say it's a good start for Chelsea and wish the go home with the motivation of winning and come back to continue with it again, with this comeback I expect more win with them.

Over the last 2 seasons Arsenal have always managed to beat Chelsea. So Arsenal must have high self-confidence because they definitely feel confident that they will be able to beat Chelsea. But Chelsea definitely has the same high motivation to beat Arsenal. Because Chelsea cannot continue to be humiliated by Arsenal. Last week Arsenal managed to beat Manchester City. which indicates that Arsenal is currently much stronger than before. Because usually Arsenal always loses to Manchester City. But in the last match this week, Arsenal managed to break their chain of defeats. And now Chelsea must also be able to follow in Arsenal's footsteps, which in the end can beat Manchester City and Chelsea must also be able to beat Arsenal. Even though I have liked Chelsea for a long time, to be honest, I am still not sure about the performance of this club. In fact I probably wouldn't bet on Chelsea.

I once told a Chelsea fan that he should be patient with his coach and trust the process, cause they'll suffer for a while and pick up later, and with their current performance I this their days of suffering is over but I just hope they remain consistent cause it matters if they want to move up in the table else they could remain stagnant around the top 15 place in the table, well I know alot of Chelsea fans would be very happy to see the team doing pretty good once again.

 Well I won't be too quick to say they're ready to fans big teams until I see their performance against a big team recently, however Arsenal is in a very good form and has recently beaten the league defenders who were previously the best performing team but has slightly dropped form, well it would be very suprising to see Chelsea beating an in form  Arsenal in a derby game, even though the match would be held at Stamford Bridge.

That's the problem with these two clubs Chelsea and Man UTD, they're always on the look out for players Arsenal (not only Arsenal but other bigger clubs) are going for especially Chelsea, I don't want to talk much about Man UTD because they only know how to engage and then withdraw without any cause. So Chelsea to me don't need any more player on that squad, all they need is to make those players understand each other. To me if this V. Osimhen deal pulls through, I feel Arsenal will be a better match for Man City.

But even now I feel Arsenal are very good with the players they currently have. In fact, I feel Arsenal has become stronger than last season. I shouldn't give them that credit yet on their performance, fine they're doing well but they still need to convince their fans that they're better than last season. If you could remember this was the same path they took, same energy, same force to get the title and where did it end them, 2nd of the table, only thing that's a bit different are the new players.
That attitude alone is just frustrating so I'd say they're still on the right path getting business done but we need to see that ruthless Gunners that will score 4 goals and still hungry for more (like Man City), so let's say the Gunners have started again this season but they shouldn't end this season finishing 2nd.

Talking about new coaches, the coach of Tottenham Ange postecoglou has done a better job than Chelsea's coach has done, when Chelsea's coach Pochettino is supposed to be doing better than the new Tottenham coach because of the very talented players that were just signed to the club. Ange did not bring in so many players, just a few, and then made use of what he has on the team even though one of their top players left to Germany. On the rating on who has been a better coach in the short time between Chelsea and Tottenham's new boss, I rate Ange Postecoglou higher.

Victor Osimhen is a very good striker and he’s at a very good age. Honestly I don’t think Arteta would want to negotiate a swap deal or anything close to that with Napoli. One thing that I know about Arsenal manager is that fact that he likes a player that can play in multiple positions in case of injury and fatigue. Osimhen is mainly a central striker and even though Arsenal wants to bring in a striker, I heard there are speculations about the Brentford striker Ivan Toney, I think he’s someone Arsenal are looking at now. Victor Osimhen is a valuable asset for Napoli, Arsenal won’t want to engage in that kind of high deal.

Manchester City are really feeling the effect of not having KDB on pitch, there is no one to get the ball to Haaland and that’s why the team is losing games. It’s unfortunate that Manchester City’s new signings were not able to make good impact in the game against Arsenal in the weekend and recored a loss while Arsenal’s new signings were impressive and their effort was enough to win the match for the Gunners. A few more additions in January will strengthen the team even more.

Not a difficult job against a relegation team but I admit it might be a good start for Chelsea with a 4-1 win in yesterday's match, but I'm still not entirely sure if Chelsea will return to winning ways or if there will be no change at all when playing with equal teams.

This coming week with Arsenal is obviously more difficult, Arsenal have been able to overthrow Man City so don't be surprised if Chelsea will fall again (this is in the prediction where I assume) You might as a Chelsea fan be confident about this match, but I think of course for me it will be a little less confident Chelsea will win.

Obviously anything can happen, sometimes it can be surprising what we never expected.

Even without having to wait for the results of the Arsenal vs City match, I have already placed my bet for Arsenal to win. And the victory over City further proves that they have become a very solid team. For Manchester City, I think injuries to several key players make it difficult for City to develop game tactics. I have a little doubt that City will be able to become champions this season

Actually, winning narrowly at home is a very normal thing for every team, including Arsenal because as a team Arsenal has been quite solid this season. But Arsenal still needs to be more consistent until the end of the season if they want the championship trophy this season, because Manchester City still doesn't deserve to be considered bad this season even though Manchester City has been defeated by Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium. Apart from that, other teams such as Tottenham and Liverpool can also be obstacles that make it difficult for Manchester City and Arsenal to win the championship trophy this season so the Premier League is always very interesting to watch every season.

Manchester city did put in their very best and ofcurse they didn't underperform but I think Arsenal had a lucky day as neither sides made it easy of each other, haland did made some brilliant moves but the gunners had a defence that was formidable at the moment, at some point it was like they took note of haland and made sure he didn't get enough space to perform and secure a goal.

I have the impression that Haaland is very dependent on Manchester City's style of play. If City create a lot of dangerous moments at the opponent's goal, then Haaland is the most useful player on the pitch and top striker. But if Man City don't create such moments, then Haaland becomes useless.

Liverpool is so unfavourable in this season, same way it was in the last season where the club hard a long history of underperformance in the premiere leagues,  so i wasn't too hopeful on Liverpool to win in the last game against Brighton this is because if you follow both clubs previous match analysis you will see how Brighton have really improved both in their defence and attacking wing and that is something we have to really look into while carrying out our analysis of possible match outcome, so when there were booked to face Liverpool, I speculated that that game will end in a draw and it indeed ended so.
And that widen the gap between Liverpool and Tottenham the more and at some point, it may look as if it will become almost impossibly hard for Liverpool to cash up with them.

I don't agree that you equate Liverpool this season with last season. I admit that last season Liverpool was a little late in the heat so they had to be satisfied with being in 5th place and not qualifying for the UCL. My reason is very simple because this season has only been running for 8 matches and only 1 defeat. Liverpool's defeat this season was also full of controversy when they played at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the 7th match before being held to a 2-2 draw by Brighton.

I didn't see any statistics that made Brighton better than Liverpool until the 8th match of the season. In terms of goal statistics, yes, Brighton is temporarily above Liverpool because they have scored 21 goals, but have conceded 16 goals. Meanwhile, Liverpool have scored 18 goals and conceded 9 goals. The net count, Liverpool is still better than Brighton until now.

In my opinion, Kovacic was quite fortunate not to be sent off the field for playing rather aggressively against Arsenal. Even the foul on Martin Odegaard in the penalty box had me on edge, wondering if the referee might award a penalty to Arsenal. I believe his performance was somewhat reckless and risky.

On another note, I must commend Arsenal's defense. Haaland, who was expected to score for Man City, couldn't make much of an impact and seemed frustrated by Arsenal's solid defense this time. Indeed, there were a few opportunities for Man City, but they didn't come from the foot of Haaland, who is hailed as a goal-scoring machine. I was impressed with Arsenal's defense yesterday.
