I was really seeing Arsenal as the biggest favourite team to win the Europa League title. But they surprised us all by being eliminated quite early. Of course their priority isn't that tournament right now while they are in the lead in the Premier League. But still it must be really frustrating for them to be out of that tournament this early. Because this is like the most productive season for them. They had the chance to win two big tournaments in the same season but missed it.

Now they will just increase the level of concentration on the Premier League to make it to the title. They still have another match against Manchester City in the future so their job won't be easy. But they can really do this if you keep this form in the league.

In the European leagues, the majority of Arsenal have been favored a lot because they have good performance in the league and in the European league but in the round of 16 they have to lose on penalties I think Arteta's dream has failed for this tournament because he has no other choice but to focus on the Premier League.

In the Premier League, Arsenal are still very close to Manchester City, which is currently only 5 points apart, while the league is still running long. I also don't think they are ready to compete in both competitions yet, it's too intense and takes a lot out of them. They have three very important games in April, especially against Manchester City, which could decide everything. Otherwise they have opponents they can easily beat, they haven't been this close to winning the league in a long time, nevertheless, we'll see what happens in April.

Newcastle are good but I think a lot of you are getting carried away with how good they are. They are not title challengers and they are not top 4 quality. They have had a good season but do you think they are on the same level as Tottenham, Liverpool and Manchester United? These teams have been in the top 4 consecutively for many years. Newcastle suddenly got a lot of money and are now challenging for top 4 but it does not mean they will get it. Some people are talking like it is guaranteed. They do not have the experience to challenge for top 4 imo.

Premier League is the more sensible approach for Arsenal right now. Well it looks like Isak shuttered your hope, Newcastle United now lead by 2 goals to 1 thanks to a late penalty in the stoppage time. Liverpool will have to wait for another time and perhaps try as much as possible to be consistent or not UCL for them next season.
