From the start I didn't see Aston Villa as a strong competitor to take the top four positions, let alone challengers for the EPL league trophy. There is one thing about every average club and English Premier League. It is not even only in English Premier League but also in all the leagues. The performance of Aston Villa's  attacking players is quite poor right now. In the last 7 matches, Aston Villa managed to perform better only against Burnley. Villa's players performed poorly in the rest of the matches. Scored goalless draws against Chelsea and Everton. Villa team could not win against Chelsea in FA Cup match.
