Probably yes, because I have said this before in the past that Eric ten hang is a proven winner, in as much as Manchester united aren't doing well in the league but they still manage to be winning something, which is very good, though their performance in the league over the past two seasons under his watch is terribly bad, and it is what they have to improve on, on the longer run, but I agree with him in his argument that after pep guardiola, he is the most successful manager in the English premier league in the past two seasons.

This pre-season match is an opportunity for coaches to try using the latest strategies or perhaps try to give experience to young players as Arteta has done currently.
In my opinion, Arsenal's performance was quite impressive even though it looked a little irregular, but I understand that these players may still lack experience but were lucky to win in the penalty round.

Pre-season matches or friendly matches are actually just like training phase because they play without fighting for anything and don't have to win, but if matches like this always end badly then that quite disappointing.
So far there have been many unsatisfactory results in pre-season matches and this has made some football fans feel bored, they want to see their favorite team win but have to see the match go not according to expectations.
But basically, most big teams during pre-season matches always use their reserve players as priority in the squad, for the core players who were previously always prioritized may only play in half the matches.
This is done to provide more experience and also to see the development potential of reserve players who previously rarely had the opportunity to play in important matches.
Moreover, if something bad happens to the core players it will also be detrimental to the team and this can affect the team performance when they start the new season in the competition they are participating in.

Pre season games are always fun and interesting to watch especially for the fact that you get to see some good academy players in action but sometimes not all are ready to to be part of the team yet they still need some more time to develop fully. If you notice nowadays cup games are not like they used to be back in the days where teams will use their academy players to play, all teams are now competing to win any trophy they can get their hands on no matter how small it is.
Coaches now understand that academy players cannot be used to compete against another team’s main squad so that’s why it difficult to use their academy players in cup games nowadays or would you have supported Arteta if he uses his academy boys to play in the FA cup against Chelsea’s main squad? If he gets eliminated definitely everyone will question him.

Yeah he should be given more time to plan a long term plan for the club, at least even though later he live still the players can still be useful, Ten Hag have just cut many eyes since last season that why people don't take eye off him, to my observation he receives more challenges from fans last season than any club and they are at it again, Manchester city lost a friendly game yesterday and everywhere was quite and when Manchester United lost the are shooting as if it was a recognised competition, sometime performance in pre season don't guarantee sucess in the main leagues, we have see teams that start well at the beginning but unfortunately fail to reach the end.
