In the Club Friendlies, Liverpool beat Arsenal 2-1. Though people were saying that friendly Matches are not used to do anything or score the performance of a club but I believe it is also to know the strength of the club on the forthcoming Premier League Tournament or season. So through the Friendlies, coaches would know the good players to select and those ones that can be substituted in the second half. So club Friendlies is also an important Match for the clubs.

No way we can totally disregard friendly matches but at the same time it's a mere warming-up match and coaches and opponents will have to do more before they can ascertain the quality of their players through it. What I've noticed with friendly matches is that they do not replicate the true performances of the team when the real competitions start and it could be a result of the friendly mood in which the players are playing at that time. I also know that the coach will not pressure his players the way he would in real tournaments. This can only prove the reason why Liverpool can beat Arsenal today if we use the feat Liverpool and Arsenal ended last season to judge them.

Notwithstanding, I believe things will pick for both sides when the league starts properly, especially Liverpool with the new coach. Arne Slot will want to prove a point in an already good club and I hope the club's relaxing performance of the last 2 seasons will end. Talking about this match, Liverpool may win but Arsenal was the better side in my view, still, the two sides should be more particular about their firing power as it's pathetic that all goals were only recorded in the first half.

I'd agree with you on your observations because even the Coach of the Liverpool side, Arne Sorloth noticed the same thing. The Gunners were the better side and had every opportunity to turn the game around but for the absence of a good finisher, it only amounted to wasted chances. It just needed a calm and collected finish from Salah and Carvalho to cement their victory over Arsenal and when you look at it, it's enough to pity the Mikel Arteta led Arsenal because despite being pressurized, they didn't give up that hold they had.
 It may be a friendly game but it's enough to send a message to Arsenal that this new season won't be business as usual.

Well, on the norm, it is expected that some clubs won't play their best during the pre-season leg, most especially when if the match is not one that qualifiers the club to enter the main league season.
It's just like a country playing against another country in a friendly match, it is always only the team that have determined to win that will always win at the end of the day.

So, personally, I am believeing that Arsenal will play their best yet again in the coming season, they may just be seeing the pre-season leg as a way to just exercise and keep their body fit and ready for the real deal.

Both coaches acknowledged the greatness of their opponents, they chose to play more carefully without any high enthusiasm in attacking. And Erik Ten Hag builds up plans comes from the defense. Without a strong defense, opponents will find it easy to score goals which they did last season and at the same time, playing with defenders who are not confident on the ball and with no pace did not add to the plans of Erik Ten Hag last season and campaign.

I do not have a problem with Rasmus Hojlund because, Manchester United has Joshua Zirkzee and even Marcus Rashford can go up there a the lone striker.
I'm vexed because Manchester has no depth orba good defensive replacement for Leny Yoro. Harry Maguire has been the name mentioned lately to partner Lisandro Martinez. I think it's not a solid defense already in my head.

You are wrong mate because summer transfer window was opened on June 14th but not July 14th and so far some of clubs has been bought the players this summer and i was interested to see Aston Villa behaviour during this summer because seems they under Unay Emery is really active to buy the players and we all know Aston Villa will playing at Champion League for next season and i can see it that Aston Villa is really serious to prepare their squad because at least Aston Villa have bought 8 players and i am sure Aston Villa hasn't stopped to buy more yet

Unay Emery has been confirmed that he want to bringing Aston Villa to performing well in Premier League and Champion League so that's why Aston Villa was very active this summer even they have already to spend 176 million to buy players which this amount of money is much higher compared to Manchester United which only spend approximately 105 million and Chelsea with only 88 million and i am very curious to know the performance of Aston Villa for next season because Unay Emery did major change for Aston Villa squad

Other teams apart from Liverpool already have additional new players that they got from the current transfer market. They are all competing to take advantage of opportunities in the transfer window to get the players they need for their squad. In my opinion, many big clubs like Liverpool are still and some clubs are still hesitant to bring in players, because according to the criteria desired by the club or head coach, they have not found a figure that meets the criteria of the coach, so that's why Liverpool still doesn't want to look for players to add ammunition in the next season, at least Liverpool can still save their funds until the winter transfer market, with the existing squad it seems that Liverpool still trusts the players they currently have, because that is much better than overhauling from the beginning after Klop decided to retire from Liverpool's coaching chair, with the method applied by Klop it seems that Arne Slot will continue to use it.

Mikel Merino won the most aerial duels, the best in the top five European leagues last season but Merino is 28 years old, Is he not too old? In 2 seasons he will likely drop form due to age or injuries. Why not a younger player? A younger midfielder may be a better option.

This is confusing to me because of course Arne Slot has a different tactic and he can't continue what Klopp has built and indeed Arne Slot should bring in some players that he wants and that fit his coaching style.
