It will simply be a City match... I would say that Manchester United moral for the pre-season has been calmed by injuries of both their old and newly signed players. So, I do not expect them to face Manchester City with alot of energy in order not to sustain more injuries before season will start.

However it is community shield which doesn't have much importance but yet it is a derby match and so we expect it to have the derby weight. So, it will still be an interesting match and probably a win for the citizens.

I see nothing special in this game. We know the FA Cup is more prestigious than the Community Shield. I prefer to bet on a City win. United beat City in last season's FA Cup, but I'm not sure if City will play with their full squad. And losing in this game doesn't make one of these clubs a loser. 
United had a few new players. They have not yet integrated with their system. I take double chance as my safe zone to bet. Also, winning or losing doesn't matter in this game. I see it as a glorified friendly match between Manchester United and Manchester City.

I removed some part of your post due to how lengthy it is. I don't think Manchester united management is ready to fire Ten Hang because there is no perfect time to fire him than at the end of last season when clubs who were not satisfied with their couch fire them. Everyone expected to wake up to the news of Ten Hang sack but were all shocked hearing that he will continue as the head couch. He has a very good relationship with the management crew and that's what is keeping him. I quite agree that they have players who have potential but then injury is giving them tough time and Ten Hang on the other hand doesn't know how to make good use of the available ones with his preference and selection.

There wasn't much Chelsea could do in the friendly matches they played recently and today Chelsea was defeated by Real Madrid with a narrow score of 1:2 Chelsea also didn't make many shots. I also don't think Chelsea can beat Real Madrid because in the previous match they were defeated by Man City.

After reading some of the opinions you guys have discussed, I conclude that although this match is not too important, it is difficult to predict.
If we think Manchester City will win, but Man Utd in the FA Cup was able to beat Pep Guardiola's troops, while an unimportant match like this, Manchester City usually won't take it seriously and just play simply without pursuing victory.
However, if we think so, it is impossible for Manchester City to give up in this Community Shield match because Pep Guardiola's reputation will certainly still be prioritized before the match starts.



From my betting choices, there are 2 choices, such as if you want to get certainty, maybe choose City to score more than 1.5 with odds @1.58.

Mr @X-ray I never said the Blues have improved and never will I say such until I see some improvement which I haven't seen in a very long while, they look like a team that can withstand the pressure of Madrid from the start but after few minutes they went back to default settings. Careless with the ball never know when to release the ball and the manager isn't seeing those crazy errors. No matter how long the players of Madrid stay due to resting or holiday as the case maybe, the Madrid B team will always beat Chelsea and is a shame that for almost 3-4 friendlies they (Chelsea) haven't changed a bit and they're even get extremely bad in performance.
The manager Enzo Maresca hasn't done anything since his arrival at Stanford Bridge because all the players have been doing is run without direct, no coordination like team play, at least try to recreate something, is like nobody is learning from their mistakes. After previously getting negative results from two friendly matches, in today's match Madrid were able to return to winning ways and end their pre-season tour with positif result, while Chelsea will likely still receive criticism from fans after achieving another negative result in this match, to be honest even though the match was a friendly match, I doubt whether Chelsea next season will be able to compete with other teams in the EPL, although they have currently made major changes to their squad, but in this match the majority of Chelsea players played very badly and I don't even know what hhat Maresca did looked like it was really which difficult to instruct her players to play well in that match, the substitutions she made did not improve Chelsea game and tended to make their game worse.

I do not think that would make sense, I know that he at least won something, it's better than not winning something, but at the end of the day this isn't good enough, it just doesn't make sense to me at all, feels like it is not enough. I think he should be at least doing fine for the league part, if he stays in the top four, even if he is fourth every year, that would be fine. But if he has another season like this, I think he should be fired right away.

Actually, nobody expected Manchester United to even have a competition against Manchester City. We all thought that Manchester City was going to win the match easily against Manchester United. Why Manchester City was unable to win is very easy to understand. The defense of Manchester City did not work very well at that particular day.
