The Argentina attacker since he came on have been troubling Manchester City's defense before and his quest for a goal was finally found when he drove into his opponent's 18 yard box from the right side of the attack before slotting home past Ederson.
7 minutes after Garnacho opened the scoring, Manchester City's Bernardo Silva also found the back of the net to drew his team level. The game is going to be decided by a penalty shootout as the final whistle have been blown already

You are right, in the end both teams scored before the end of the second half. It is very unfortunate that Manchester United failed to maintain their victory in the remaining minutes since they were leading 0-1, that was the initial reason why Manchester City managed to win the title in the end. The penalty round was really disappointing, of course because of the two failures that made Manchester City go home with victorious. Congratulations to Manchester City and the fans who support it.

Jonny Evans and Jadon Sancho failed to score penalties, while Bernardo Silva was the only kicker who missed from Manchester City. I wasn't too disappointed with the result of the match, of course because the chances of both teams winning in the penalty shootout were 50:50.

The match ended with a penalty kick and City was able to win with one goal. Sylva was the one who equalized the goal on the 89th minutes of the match which gave City the opportunity to try their luck in a penalty shootout.

Sancho lost his penalty and that was why United was unable to win the match making the penalty extend to 7-7 because Sylva also lost his. Evans finally gave City the victory as he played his own PK over the bar and Akanji scored the last penalty to give City the victory.

I was really disappointed by that late minute goal scored by the citizens, Manchester United where not able to hold down till the end of the 90 minutes, though towards the end of the game pep guardiola began to introduce, the likes of Bernardo Silva and Kevin de bruyne who where really impactful.
There is no extra time for the community shield, it's direct to penalties after 90 minutes. However Manchester city have won the day on PK.
At a point I actually thought Manchester United where going to win this cup, unfortunately they couldn't hold on to their victory.

Today we are going to see the match between Manchester United and Manchester City which can be an interesting match since both teams got some new players and both teams had some changes during this summer. Manchester City normally can have more chances based on the performance they had in the last season but the bad news for Manchester City is about their player Jack Grealish. It was so shocking for Manchester City but it seems is injured and he is going to be absent from the game they have against Manchester United.

The match is not as interesting as I expected. Manchester City is totally in control of the game but has not been able to open up the Manchester United defense. United seems to be looking for a lost balls to help them make some counter-attacking runs. But it has not been fruitful with Rashford not being able to use his pace to get the needed effect on the City defense. Both teams are defending really well and have been able to withstand their attacks. Pep Guardiola seems to be frustrated, and it is looking like the same result we had in the FA Cup might happen today.  I have not seen much of Erling Haaland in this game, and Mason Mount is surprising starting the game but not much impact. It will be good to see Erik ten Hag introduce Jadon Sancho, maybe in the second half. Manchester United have missed him. Jack Grealish's presence would have made some difference because of his dribble skills and pace but City attack is not doing badly.

Manchester United have put themselves into the game and for quite some minutes now they have being in total control of the game with two good chances that they were suppose to score but missed it. Both chances were a one-on-one chance with City goalkeeper.

@Frankolala, you were correct when you said it would be better for Manchester United to maximize their chances since the dominating team is City. Marcus Rashford missed a clear chance that would have put United ahead, but Alejandro Garnacho's superb run and clinical finishing gave United the lead. But their waste of opportunities hunted them because a one-goal advantage is nothing for an attacking club like City. Bernardo Silva leveled it up after a sloppy defending from United. Penalty is a game of luck and Manchester United lost the game. Jadon Sancho and Jonny Evans were the culprits after missing their penalties. Evans didn't look confident when he stepped out to take the penalty, and as presumed he ballooned the ball over the post. A sad loss for United because they failed to use the opportunities they had.

If the performance of Manchester City is what they will portray in the English Premier League, I am not sure if they will become Champions. The team was not the coherent and perfect side that dominated the EPL. Arsenal might have an easy ride this season.

Arsenal are strengthening their squad ahead of the season. These new additions would require adjustment to a new league, and are here to replace aging or injured players who have enjoyed knowledge of the league.
While Manchester City don't have to change last season's squad much except for KDB and where injury forced them. They have time to integrate their new additions.

And also, why do you think that Arsenal will win the league if Manchester City had one of their fewest total points tally last season & Arsenal couldn't usurp them? I predicted Arsenal as second but again I wouldn't be surprised of Liverpool overtakes them as 2nd & there's ample evidence/logic to that.

I think Arteta will have to move differently this season, if he wants to win the league. Arteta needs to make decisions quicker. It takes him like 3-4 games before he arrests a situation.

Manchester City will have periods in the season where they will drop points, Arsenal should be capitalizing on every single slip up. That’s the only way.

Arsenal looks like they are making good changes there is no doubt about that, but it doesn't really look like it's enough because while they are getting new players, it takes time for those players to adjust to a new club and that could be an issue. Remember, these are all just regular humans, they might be making millions but they still need to go grab that candy they like, for cheat day, and may not have that in London, that is one thing to be upset about.

Today's game was hard fought by both the teams as their competition was so fierce, the fans of both the teams were very interesting and there was peace for a long time.

To be honest, I didn't expect Arsenal to win against Leverkusen in yesterday game because everyone saw how Leverkusen dominated their league last season. The defeat against Arsenal is the second game that Leverkusen has lost since last season, and Arsenal played an outstanding game, scoring two goals in less than 10 minutes. The Gunners deserve praise because defeating Leverkusen is not easy, I believe that if it hadn't been for Manchester City pressure, Arsenal would be the favorite to win the league next season, but competing with Guardiola over the last four seasons has been difficult. However, if Arsenal looks for a striker to improve their performance, it will be the best move to help them win the Premier League next season, because relying on Havertz and Jesus, we cannot be sure that Arsenal will achieve what they want next season.

But I was confident for the Arsenal F.C  because they are doing great and they are improving their performance day by day and they surprised many big teams anc now team will underestimate that team.  Bayer 04 Leverkusen football team won the match badly and I think their planning was not perfect and the strikers didn't play wel in the crucial time .  At the start of match two players did back to back goals and  they bent the match to their sides at the start of match. Then two more persons did goal  for the team and tea  m score was 4 and that was excellent score.The defense of Bayer 04 Leverkusen team was not strong and that's why they lose match badly.

Although this is just a friendly match, Arsenal played well in this match and of course this victory, although it does not change anything, what is clear is that this victory is very important for Arsenal to welcome the league with high confidence. Leverkusen's defeat must be an evaluation for Xabi Alanso to be able to do better, especially last season they performed very impressively without being defeated, of course this season they will do the same thing at least to be able to defend the title.

I watched this friendly match, although Arsenal performed impressively but I am still worried about the Arsenal squad because in my opinion the current Arsenal squad does not have a cover for Saka and Odegaard. because when Saka does not attack, he moves completely to the left side, and that does not mean Viera is not good, it's just that he is not RW. So honestly Arsenal needs a versatile player on the right side or a competitive and quality RW depth. because if Saka is injured, Arsenal will not be able to attack on the right side.

Manchester City performed relatively poorly in this match as they found many weak points. But still Manchester City couldn't win, while Casemiro had the most chances but couldn't hit the ball which made it impossible to score.  Although the game ended up going to Tribeca, Manchester United ended up losing.

That many goalkeepers will definitely be very wasteful for a team because Chelsea will only use a few and it would be more ideal if Chelsea could sell half of that number to other teams and buy some other defenders to fill their defense to make it better.

When Chelsea are singing, they should focus on quality players and not just signing random players.

Because no matter how good Arsenal's squad is in fact there are clubs whose squad is better and for the EPL now the answer is definitely Manchester City.

Currently, when talking about champions in the EPL, the discussion will be a little boring even though in terms of running the league the competition is actually quite good but the champions remain the same where in the last 7 seasons, only Liverpool have managed to thwart Mancehster City champions the rest no one can tackle them. So indeed the discussion of champions will definitely lead to the same club where Manchester City always get better in the end than any club in the EPL for now.

Since after that Peter Cech was sold, and he retired, Chelsea hasn't gotten a perfect replacement for him, Thibaut Courtois and Mendy would have been two different keepers to have taken the position of our their unforgettable legendary and Champions League winner peter Cech but Thibaut Courtois left Chelsea for Madrid whereas Mendy couldn't leave up to expectations after a couple of seasons with Chelsea, So I kind of believe that Chelsea is making all necessary efforts to buy a keeper replacement for Peter Cech, whom will not only just keep for few seasons and leave or lose form but a keeper that will have a memorable place in the club's history.

It could take a while before Chelsea would get a keeper as good as Peter Cech. However their a some keepers that would still deliver, with or without a good defence, let's take David De Gea for example and those are the quality a top Club like Chelsea needs, not signing numerous options that would end up being a liability to the club.

It's incredible how the Manchester City coach manages to make sure that even when he's not playing with all his best players, the team can still perform well. In this game, for example, the Manchester City coach benched many good players to avoid injuries while the Premier League games started soon. But even so, Manchester City managed to play without any problems against a Manchester United team that was made up of all his best players. I can't understand why the Manchester United coach put Bruno Fernandes as the main striker, when Bruno Fernandes is a player who plays better in the position Mason Mount was in.

I believe that the Manchester United coach has still not managed to have a fixed formation in which he has the ideal players for each position and is his strongest eleven. He is constantly experimenting with the team. This will not bring any great improvement to the team in terms of winning the Premier League. Manchester United is clearly a team that still has no identity, no direction. Anyway, congratulations to Manchester City, as long as Josep Guardiola is the coach of Manchester City, this team will always win something. There is no doubt that Josep Guardiola is a great coach.

I think both teams deserved to win, but it would have been a tough time for those who supports clubs outside the two participants if united had won the game. But truth is, I would have been happy to see united raise the shield. Enough of this Manchester city winning almost every trophy.

And I am quite sad for Jordan Sancho. After getting accepted and settled all indifferences with Ten hag, he couldn't convert the penalty that might have taken the game the other way round. Penalty is a game that can go either ways. I will like to see how Ten hag will treat him from now, let's see if Ten hag can really give him the managerial support.

The way Manchester City have turn Champions League to a usual trophy winning ground will be paining some people that are yet to win a single Premier League for many years, I Mean Arsenal fans. They will be terrified right now because they will think the way Manchester City has won community shield is the same way they are going to win the Premier League but I'm confident in Arsenal that last time Manchester City won't be community should will happen again.

The last time they took the community shield, they had the most useless season, no Premier League and no Champions league, are you thinking what I'm thinking.
