In the poll I said Manchester City would be champions but this time I want Arsenal to win. Every year a team goes forward but in the final City are champions. Let's see a different champion. Arsenal came ahead for me because I saw the other teams a little bit behind. Maybe Chelsea will be better this time with their new signings. I don't think United and Liverpool are too ambitious, I think Arsenal will do it, maybe Chelsea a little bit. Any other surprise is close to impossible. Stories like Leicester City happen once in a hundred years.

For me, Man City still remains my favorite. But If they get kicked out, then I'd say Arsenal to take the first place. I still stick to the scenario where Arsenal can finish at the second place, and it has minor gap toward City. This was caused by Arsenal is not really solving the problem in their forward. However, if Arsenal can sign an above-average striker, I think they can get one step closer to winning the league. The problem is Arteta sticks with the same forward as last season. This raises my doubts. It's hard to see how they can take first without a beast of a striker.

This is exactly what's getting me worried about Arsenal credential to win the premier league title this season. Although they scored lots of goals last season and possibly Arteta still believe that the team is going to produce same or more amounts of goals this season again. Arsenal should have gotten a good striker that can score 25 goals and above a season, it will boast their tittle bid. Gabriel Jesus is just an average striker and most times he goes on for weeks without scoring and that's not good for a team that want to beat Manchester City for the premier league. Manchester City that their striker has won the golden boot for two straight seasons and still looking forward to winning this season's own. Nobody is going to hand Arsenal the premier league for free, or out of pity. So the should better fix their forward line now that they have the chance.

Yes, a striker is what most Arsenal fans thinks will hinder their chances of winning the league title this season. And If they don't get the position they need, it might just be the same story all over again full of hope.

With the number of goals they scored last season, one might think they can compete this season without an actual striker. There are no positions in a team that are not important when a team wants to become a champion. You can have the best forwards, but if the defense does not work well in some matches, then all efforts will not lead to the desired result. In fact, if you are talking about statistics, then Arsenal were the best in this regard last season, but as we can see, this did not help them become champions. In my opinion, the striker isn't only the player Arsenal needs for next season, they need more defenders who can prevent their opponents from scoring goals, Arsenal defenders were weak toward the end of the season, I remember them being weak and failing to compete with Manchester City when the season ended. Arsenal scored a lot of goals last season, but they couldn't win a title. Arsenal led Manchester City by a goal differential, but as the season went on, Manchester City finished with the same number of goals as Arsenal.

However, if Arsenal wants to win the Premier League next season, they must sign a striker who can score as many goals as Haaland, they do not currently have a striker capable of scoring 20 goals in the Premier League. Last season, Jesus scored four goals in 27 appearances while Kai Havertz scored thirteen in 37 for Arsenal. I believe that if Arsenal can find a striker capable of scoring 20 goals per season, they will win the championship they were unable to win for many years.

Yes, I agree with you that Arteta has to be really careful in every factor to be able to bring Arsenal ahead of Manchester City. Because as we know, Manchester City has a very great squad and coach. So to deal with this, Arteta cannot just rely on strategy or tactics to bring Arsenal ahead of Manchester City next season. However, Arsenal really needs to look for a sharper striker, because Arsenal's front line currently looks less consistent in terms of performance. However, until now it seems that Arsenal have not been seen buying any strikers, what I know is that currently Arsenal is buying more defenders. Yeah, I also think it is a big surprise that Chelse is the fourth favorite considering their performance last season. I'd put Tottenham or Aston Villa at the fourth based on last season placements. Transfers do change things but they have a bumpy transfer records IMO. Not sure if their transfers will massively improve their performance even if they do well in pre-season. Even Liverpool do quite well but their odds are still lower compared to Arsenal, so who knows if the numbers will change significantly latter. CMIIW.

Actually is very shocking that Chelsea is on the top 4 of the board, though am not a Chelsea fan but this coming season is not last season, it doesn't mean that Chelsea performance last season will make them not to perform well this season, and also is not because Tottenham or Aston Villa pass them in the Table last season that Chelsea won't pass them this season because each season that passes different clubs improves in one way or the order so don't start judging when the season has not start. transfer do change you are right  but you saying that in the case of Chelsea they do not have any rough or bumpy transfer this summer in my opinion.

I would rather be realistic than being sentimental here, I don't want to see a new champion, i would rather prefere to see the better side emerge as winner of the premier league title this season, i dont care if it's Liverpool, Manchester united, Chelsea, mancity or arsenal or perhaps a team that just gained promotion as long as they are deserving of the title, let's not forget that there are so many factors that determines the winner of the title, eg, matches won, points dropped, injuries, back up players, suspension, technical ability, ability to withstand pressure etc, now if any team is able to handle all of these issues, would you say they shouldn't win the league because they won it previously? I don't think so, if arsenal or any other team in England wants stop Manchester city's dominance in the premier League then they should accept responsibility and work hard until they detrone Manchester city.

A big sign that I want to put forward too. But until now Arteta and Arsenal have not shown much interest in bringing in a pure striker and that has also been Arsenal's problem for several seasons. Arteta relies on evenness but forgets that even ability without a combination of pure strikers will find it difficult to score goals like Man City did. Apart from Pep Gardiola who focuses on building a squad with even abilities but Pep does not forget that everything will be perfect if you have a striker and Haaland is the right choice. His physical strength is able to differentiate from his teammates and he can also trick his opponents to provide free space for Foden/Bernando Silva, Doku/Grealish, and De Bruyne to score goals.

I think no one can shift Manchester City's position at the top and this has been proven for several years. Their achievements and preparations have always been satisfactory in each season so that bookies do not hesitate to put them in their proper place. In addition, I agree that as long as the coach is still Pep Guardiola, it will be very difficult for bookies to lower their expectations for Manchester City and maybe this will not change for the next few years if Pep Guardiola wants to extend his contract.

I don't know how the bookies are seeing this Chelsea team but I do know that they aren't all that tight when it comes to their performance being consistent although this season we can't actually say anything but if we were to judge prior from their last season performance then placing Chelsea as 4th favorite in winning the league is somehow really absurd if you ask me.

Those are the two best teams now and i also think either of the two teams are the favorites. Arsenal also have a high chance of success just as Manchester City but my major fear is that they don’t have a goal poacher in their team which is something they need so badly if they want to stand a chance against Manchester City. It’s almost end of the transfer window and they are still yet to bring in a striker.


Some changes needs to bee done and more attacking players need to be added so they can be unpredictable. Saka and Martinelli are already predictable players and they need support.

Well, maybe coach Pep Guardiola and his students continue to set a record of winning the championship for the 5th consecutive time. Then this tournament will become boring. With the way we all are praying for Arsenal to win the title next season I still can't find a spot to digest this whole near success syndrome because I some how feel they might make same mistake like they did last campaign. But let's face the reality of the Arsenal road to becoming this season's champion, Arteta has been with the Gunners for almost 4 years now and up till this very moment they haven't gotten that league title and he has been coming close to win it but Pep and his ways of making the Gunners fail has also been working perfectly well, even when the Man City coach praises you as a coach to win the league or you're doing well as a manager just watch your back because he's going to beat your team.
If this season ends the way it has always been ending for Arsenal can we say Arteta out? Because he hasn't been a winner and the Gunners and as well as the fans need a manager to give them this title they have been dying to get not finishing second and from how I see it, you mustn't beat Manchester City to win the league, just go about winning your game and wait for the opportunity to fall in line. If Chelsea focuses on building up their team with young player, it's a good and sustainable strategy. They are rich and can buy one or some star players to support young players and make a very competitive team. After about 2 decades of spending huge money for transfer and salary, and gaining some success with two Champions League and several Premier League titles, I believe that Chelsea already understood that this is an expensive strategy but not sustainable.

By focusing on and growing up young players, Chelsea will have a very good player resource to use with cheaper investment cost and can have a long future with these young players. Having a good youth academy will be another great foundation for their club success and a more healthier finance.
