Definitely not the best start for Maresca, but we must still understand that he arrives in a club that has remained with the same coach for ten years and that has built a personality based on him, on the team. With Maresca all this must start again and i hope that the players can give him what they gave to the last coach.
It's indeed a new start for the new coach, most of the players are new to the team compared to the players that won it all under Pep, most of them are old  and have left the club the old ones that re currently at the club were purchased 5 years ago and less, so I believe he can still work with them as some of them are still young and willing to play. It won't be easy since they were all used to the previous manager and his style of play, here they get to learn a different thing all together but hopefully it might click for him.
Enzo Maresca if you remember was Pep Guardiola's assistant before he left the club in 2021. Most of the players in the Manchester City squad now we're signed after he left but that's not enough reason for him not to do well.

Manchester City currently has a very quality squad that's strong enough to win the league. I don't think he has any reason not to succeed with the team.

I don't expect him to easily adapt with the current squad but I think he's shown that he's technically experienced enough to continue where Pep Guardiola stopped even when it'll be difficult for him.

Already giving up? There's no way the English premier League title should be handed over to Arsenal, hell no there will be a fight for it, and if they manage to win it in the process that's okay by me, but giving up even the season starts is a no for me, remember Manchester United is equally cooking on a low key, we've not been talking about Liverpool, and I'm very much certain they are also cooking on a low key too, and again we all know how things work with Arsenal, they might look dangerous at first, then went ahead to bottle the league, so let's just wait for the season to start.

Point to me where I said anything about giving up. Mind you, I'm being realistic, they are the defending Champions of the Premier League Competition and adding both Squad depth in defense, midfield and also attack is enough to tell you how competitive they will be. I do not say others will not also compete but Arsenal are ahead. If this was me talking about Pep Guardiola you wouldn't have harboured doubts but look at you lol.

Manchester United?! Day dreaming! I'm Manchester United fan, a staunch one actually but Manchester United are not ready. It belongs to Arsenal unless something else happens. We so not have good defenders to begin with.

If not for Carrick, am sure Manchester United won’t be playing in the champions league by next season. Manchester United performance was just so terrible under Amorim, and the best thing which they did was sacking Amorim. Manchester United will have ended the season at the middle of the table, or maybe they might struggle to avoid relegation if they didn’t sack Amorim last season.

Carrick is an intelligent coach, and am sure he will perform well by next season, but we shouldn’t expect much from him, because he will be playing in both the champions league and premier league, it’s not really going to be a easy season for him, we should give Carrick some time also to properly adapt with the team.
I have thought about this, because there was no hope of Manchester United playing in the champions League this season under Amorim who nearly got Manchester United relegated last season.  I'm really grateful for what Michael Carrick did because if not for him and his strategies Manchester United could have ended up in religation last season, we, the Manchester United fans are trusting Carrick to achieve something huge this season,  I'm already seeing the potential for Manchester United to win the premier League title this season.

With the way things currently are in the transfer market, I don't think Manchester United will be able to sign another defender again after securing the deal to sign Baleba from Brighton, and I must commend that the signing is a very good one. It seems things are not currently going well at Old Trafford because the coach has not been backed enough to complete some Major transfers this season. Carrick needs to be supported if they want him to qualify for top four again or better still challenge for the premier league. Every other team is strengthening their squad, and Man U needs to strengthen theirs as well if they want to compete with Arsenal and other teams.

It will be so bad that they  wont sign players when they are supposed to sign, and later regret not signing players when injury will come and hit them during the season. All they need now is a full squad that can compete whether there is injury or not, squad depth is very necessary,

If Chelsea is not patient with Xabi Alonso, they'll definitely keep hire coach every season because the state of the team needs rebuilding of which Alonso can do that since he has done it before at Bayern Leverkusen. Chelsea made a mistake last season by sacking the coach who was managing the team without many problems but Chelsea's management was very serious in sacking Enzo Maresca just because they wanted him to perform flawlessly.

Chelsea management's decision to fire Enzo Maresca was quite appropriate, as he not only failed to improve the team's performance, but there was also a lack of understanding between Maresca and management, and some parties within the club, which made him no longer tenable.. and then the decision to recruit Xabi as their coach was for the long term, and also to stabilize the team's situation.. so the management had such high hopes for Xabi that he was given full authority to manage the team and align it with his planned strategies.

If Xabi manages to improve Chelsea's situation and put them in the top 5 this season, it will mean that the management's decision to choose him to lead their long-term project was quite right.

The decision to fire Maresca as at then wasn't the best IMO. The team progressed fine under him although it was clear that he was still lacking in experience. We saw a lot of improved players under him and it was a good development it was just that the management didn't give him all the support he needed and it was unfortunate it had to end early.

Maresca is in the past, the focus is now on Xabi Alonso. He's got the potential to give the team good results and make the management and fans proud but he's also a bit inexperienced. I trust Alonso and a lot of fans trust him to do a good job. I don't expect a perfect result too soon but I am sure gradually with time he will prove himself at the club. It's a new season I just want to be positive and have happy moments this season.

It's okay for everyone to air their opinions, but again, there's a need for those opinions to rely on facts, and maybe a certain level of rationality. Personally, I see Michael Carrick as someone who has what it takes to motivate the boys, and he has already shown that, but again, there is also a bigger question of whether he won't end up like the other managers who came before him. I don't have a problem with Carrick, because I think the actual problem is from the football management. The board are not doing enough honestly, and it's disappointing to see fans expecting so much from him when the level of support is limited.

How do they expect Carrick to compete with his current defence and midfield in 4 major competitions, through out the entire season?. They're literally not making plans for fatigue and injuries, and that's enough to spoil their entire season due to lack of quality depth. It's funny how a lot of people overlook what Arsenal are currently doing in the transfer market, and think they're not making plans to dominate the hell out of the league. There's a massive difference between a club that's still trying to build, and a club that has already built a structure, but just want to re-enforce.

Should?? Who’s going to fight Arsenal for the title, so far I can only see Manchester United and even Oluwa-btc who is a die-hard fan doesn’t think they are ready yet. You keep saying clubs are “cooking on a low key”, can you explain what that means because afaik the transfer signings are public, and none of the top clubs can match Arsenal’s quality yet.

Everyone knows that arsenal has what it takes to win the league again this season but don't forget that they had same team but couldn't win it all this time. Arsenal has the squad already but will the be consistent in the season? We already know how they behave. They almost also lost the league last season if not that Manchester city started loosing games they were supposed to be winning which gave arsenal the lead. If it was to involve a bet no matter how little, I won't put it on arsenal to win the league as we're already seeing that Manchester United is looking fierce for the season with their additional signings of the summer.

This argument will soon be over as league will be starting tomorrow with Coventry city's clash with Arsenal at Emirates stadium. The good game is back so every assumptions will be clarified.

There are many fans who are not satisfied with the work of Ruben Amorim, but the team performed well last season. They finished the tournament with the third highest points in the Premier League. They won 20 of 38 matches, drew 11 and lost 7. Michael Carrick has taken charge of the team this season and has a great team and can dream of winning the title this season. To strengthen the team, the team has completed a contract with young midfielder Andrey Santos for £48m and bought another midfielder Youri Tielemans for £35, which has increased the strength of the team and Carrick can probably get the expected success this season.

After beating Manchester City so easily in the FA Community Shield with the score line of 3-0, I think Mikel Arteta might be able to bring Arsenal to a new high level under his management ever since the era of Arsene Wenger has passed. Arsenal will be playing their first game in front of their home fans against newly promoted Coventry and I believe Arsenal would be able to beat Coventry easily without conceding a goal against their opponent in their first opening match for the English Premier League this season.

I know you will all agree with me that if Arsene Wenger was still the Arsenal Manager he wouldn't have bought Ezri Konsa if he knew that William Saliba isn't going to be out of action for the whole season.

With Mosquera's performance Vs Man City in the community shield and Marli Salmon performance in the preseason games, Arsene Wenger would have played Christian Mosquera and if he got injured or suspended he would have played Marli Salmon as he waits for William Saliba to recover.

The trust Wenger had in the youngsters he would have looked at Ezri Konsa age (28) and called off the deal because we all know he didn't want to field players aged 29 and above so Konsa being 28 he wouldn't have paid the 50 Million to sign him.

I am not saying Mikel Arteta buying Ezri Konsa is a bad idea and he would have trusted Mosquera and Marli Salmon. I am just reminding you what we had to go through during Arsene Wenger's time as Arsenal Manager.

Marli Salmon being 16 years and Christian Mosquera 22 training everyday with more experienced defenders will make them learn more such that when Mosquera turns 25 and Marli Salmon 19, They would be ready to replace the experienced defenders we have right now in the team.

This is how dynasties are built.

I have watched the Arsenal narrative for years, and the goalposts keep moving. When Mikel Arteta and Arsenal fell short in previous title races, pundits like Patrice Evra were quick to highlight every failure, often predicting that Arsenal would bottle it again.

But when Arsenal finally went all the way and won the title, the narrative changed. Instead of acknowledging their progress, the same critics quickly found another angle: Arsenal supposedly cannot retain the title.

To me, that says more about the critics than Arsenal. Every time the club proves one criticism wrong, a new reason for failure appears. It feels less like objective analysis and more like an attempt to protect an old narrative.

I am not saying Arsenal are guaranteed to retain the title—football is unpredictable. But I find it amusing how confidently some critics predict their downfall, only to move the goalposts when Arsenal prove them wrong. At some point, Arsenal should simply be judged by what they actually achieve on the pitch.

You can not be so sure that arsenal is gong to win their first game against Coventry even though that statistically speaking, they have the squad and overall teams ability to getting an easy win in that game. The intrigue is that, Coventry is the underdog and will definitely want to prove that they have a place in the premier league. they already know that arsenal is a better side and the defending champion so you want to play with the mindset that wining them will surely give a boost to how the rest of your season will eventually go. at the end, it is the mental strength of both teams that will tell wether the expected outcome that arsenal will win this game will stand or that they will start the season on a negative light will be the case. ideally, arsenal have the chance of sitting top on the table right from their first game but football is not as we think and can be unpredictable.

When we told people that Martin Ødegaard is one of the best number 10s in the Premier League, some people started criticizing us because he was struggling with injuries.

But I kept saying one thing: if Arsenal can get Odegaard fully fit and give him a consistent run without injuries disturbing his rhythm, just watch what happens. And now we are starting to see it. And Ødegaard has already started the season with a statement performance, and he is showing exactly why Arsenal have trusted him with the captain’s armband.

The creativity, the movement, the passing, the confidence and the personality are coming back. This is the Ødegaard Arsenal fans have been waiting for. And if he can stay fit and continue performing at this level, I genuinely believe he can take his game to another level this season.

Arsenal don't just need Ødegaard to play well—they need their captain leading from the front.

If Arsenal perform can keep their good form throughout the season, they have a good chance of winning the premier league, after watching the game against Manchester City, I can confirm that Arsenal is the best club in premier league, and they can dominate the league the way Pep Guardiola did. Manchester City is selling some star players, they have sold Rodri and Tijjani Reijnders, Bernardo Silva has left to join Real Madrid, and the club is about to sell Savinho and Marmoush, Manchester City is going to struggle and that will give Arsenal a big chance of winning the league.

Enzo Maresca is going to rebuild the team, because the club is selling players that Pep Guardiola has worked with, and Arsenal is busy signing top players, signing defenders that will make the squad strong, i don’t know maybe Manchester United, Chelsea or Liverpool can compete with Arsenal, but at this point i don’t see Manchester City winning the league any time soon.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Ask Chelsea fans about Gary Cahill and you won't hear much about fancy footwork. You'll hear about blocks, headers, tackles and turning up when it mattered.

Gary Cahill born in Dronfield, an English lad who came through Aston Villa's academy before being loaned to Burnley and Sheffield United to gain valuable experience.

He then joined Bolton Wanderers in 2008 for 5 million pounds and spent four seasons there, establishing himself as one of the most consistent centre halves in the Premier League.

In January 2012, Chelsea brought him to Stamford Bridge for around 7 million pounds, a transfer that happened with his Bolton contract running down.

The remarkable thing about that move was that he still played for Bolton in their final match before joining Chelsea and scored the winning goal against Everton at Goodison Park.

He said he wanted to repay the faith shown by the manager and his teammates at Bolton even though the transfer was already all but done.

Within months of joining Chelsea, he was part of the squad that won the Champions League for the first time in the club's history, a remarkable achievement for a player who had only arrived in January.

He said those first six months at Chelsea were a crazy rollercoaster because he managed to win the FA Cup and the Champions League in such a short space of time.

Cahill learned a huge amount from John Terry, who he considered one of the best defenders in Premier League history and a mentor who shaped his entire career.

He said he walked into the Chelsea dressing room like a sponge, soaking up every piece of knowledge from the world class players around him.

When Terry left Chelsea in 2017, Cahill was appointed club captain and became the last player to lift the FA Cup as Chelsea skipper.

He said that transition gave him the opportunity to grow into a leader and he felt ready to take on that responsibility.

During his seven years at Chelsea, Cahill won eight major trophies including two Premier League titles, two FA Cups, one Champions League and two Europa League trophies.

He also earned 61 caps for the England national team and represented his country at the 2014 and 2018 World Cups as well as Euro 2016.

After leaving Chelsea in 2019, he joined Crystal Palace and then Bournemouth before announcing his retirement in 2022 at the age of 36.

He said he achieved everything he ever dreamed of and created incredible memories throughout his entire career.

Cahill was also known for his mental resilience and said that playing ability alone was not enough without mental strength at the highest level.

He felt proud that he could handle the pressure and challenges that came with playing for a club as big as Chelsea.

For football fans, Cahill is the perfect example of how a player from a smaller club can rise to become captain and a legend at one of the biggest clubs in the world.

He proved that hard work, discipline and a willingness to learn from better players can take you all the way to the top.

You don't win the Champions League, lift major trophies and captain Chelsea by accident. Gary Cahill earned every bit of it.

Why will anyone compare Pep and Arteta, aren't you seeing the big difference. Arteta is Pep boy that didn't finish learning from Pep before he left to Arsenal as their head coach and that's why you see that Pep always whip his ass whenever, City and Arsenal clashed. Pep even went as far as snatching the title from him twice before Arteta finally won it. Arteta is a baby when talking about Pep.

You can't compare Arteta to Pep, it's not right, Pep has done a lot and won a lot with many teams, Arteta still has to prove, he is a good coach, yes. It takes a lot to get to Pep's level.
Pep is one of the top 5 coaches in the world in my opinion. We'll see what Arteta will do this year if he confirms himself.

How on earth are we comparing these two? Arteta is still an upcoming coach even though he's good but comparing him to Pep is kinda off and insulting to Pep. Pep has been coaching for about a decade or more before Arterta came into this career. If its about trophies won, Arteta never come close to him anywhere. Pep managed several top teams in various league before Arterta came to limelight. He learned through Pep serving as his assistant before becoming Arsenal head coach. How does a student overtake his master just after few years of graduation? Was it because he won the league last season people now compare him to Pep? I really don't get the point of comparison here.
