I'm excited that the Premier League is about to begin, and uniquely, in the first match, we'll see Arsenal, last season's EPL champions, face Coventry City, a newly promoted team. This match will undoubtedly be exciting, as Coventry City will be determined to win I also think Arteta won't underestimate Coventry City, as they were also promoted to the EPL thanks to their impressive strength

Lampard and Arteta will undoubtedly compete in strategizing for this match, and it's sure to be exciting. Who do you think will win? I think Arsenal has a strong chance of winning and I'd bet on an arsenal victory

Arsenal the Premier League Champions will face the Championship champions in the first match of the Premier League this season, Arsenal are the favorites to win and it will be a big disappointment to their fans if they did not win against a newly promoted team no matter how strong the team is.

Arteta cannot afford to draw or even lose this match and Lampard also will not like to lose his first premier league match as the manager of Conventry City, so it will be competitive and the best team will win.

The reason for this hatred against Arsenal is their good performance. The team played unstoppable last season and has signed several new players to maintain that consistency this season. Mikel Arteta has achieved this success after so many years of effort and wants to use that success in the coming seasons. After winning the EPL last season, Arteta and his team were expected to win the Champions League trophy, but the Arsenal team lost in the final against PSG and they performed impressively.

I've never seen Arsenal as a team capable of dominating the English Premier League for long stretches of seasons. I think this belief, as a longtime Premier League fan, is already ingrained in my mind. Therefore, I think for many fans to change this, Arsenal will have to win the English Premier League several times in a row. Although in fact, I think Liverpool, City and even MU have a chance of preventing them from doing so.
Actually, I think their Premier League title win last year wasn't a surprise considering their recent performances. Arsenal were usually second in the league for the past few years, and they managed to win the title at the end of last season. They'll want to repeat that this year, and frankly, looking at their squads, Arsenal are the closest to achieving it. Of course, Manchester City and Liverpool also have very good squads, but they've had managerial changes, and we don't know how that will affect them. Arsenal, on the other hand, have been playing with the same manager and quality players for years. Therefore, I see Arsenal as the team with the advantage before the league even starts.

If Xabi manages to improve Chelsea's situation and put them in the top 5 this season, it will mean that the management's decision to choose him to lead their long-term project was quite right.

I absolutely disagree. Maresca managed to give a certain continuity to Chelsea and this meant that the team could return to having a game that at least allowed them to compete with the other teams, whereas before him it was a club with a team that was totally lost, in disarray. In Maresca i saw a good coach who eliminated him at the first move.

After staying for some months without watching Premier League matches I'm also excited the Premier League will begin today and the first match of the season is between Arsenal and Coventry. With the way Arsenal easily swept Manchester City aside in the Community Shield I don't think the newly promoted Coventry will be a pain in Arsenal's neck I think Arsenal would win Coventry either 3-0 or 4-0 to start their 2026/2027 Premier League campaign in a grand style.

Two Champions are going to open the Premier League tonight, and I think it will definitely be an interesting one because both teams did absolutely well last season. So I don't think there will be a lot goals in this match. I am seeing the game as a 2-1 or 2-0 win for Arsenal.

Even though football is unpredictable, but I think Arsenal will definitely want to start their season with a winning streak, because it's something that they normally do at the start of the season. But let's see how it goes.

The creativity, the movement, the passing, the confidence and the personality are coming back. This is the Ødegaard Arsenal fans have been waiting for. And if he can stay fit and continue performing at this level, I genuinely believe he can take his game to another level this season.

Martin Odegaard is a very strong footballer, a good number 10, he knows how to play and has a lot of class. Of course he must hope he doesn't get injured again.
Odegaard has started well and if he plays like this he will be able to have his say and win many matches. Obviously Odegaard knows what to do and how to lead his teammates to win.

Tomorrow, we see their performance to know more about the team. Arsenal vs Coventry City. It was in 1999 Coventry City beat Arsenal 3-2 and after that all the other years, Arsenal has been beating them. Coventry City is a weak team in the Premier League for Arsenal to play with but the analysis will come base on the performance. Even though the win the match, there will be some questions to ask. How did they performed? How was the goalkeeper, the defense, and the midfielders? These will some factors to know if they do well in the league this season. This season will not be as usual for Arsenal.
With no doubt Arsenal is winning Conventry City tomorrow, I can bet on that, but just as you've said, either win draw or lost, there shall be some questions, about their performance, and with this tomorrow match we will know if truly Arsenal is the favorite for the English premier League title this season, as many people has anticipated on that for quite a long time now, since Pep is no more in the league, we will know that from tomorrow, either win or lose, their performance will really tell how good they might be this season.

I don't think there will be a problem with Arsenal against Coventry FC, I see an overwhelming victory. Arsenal is in good form at the end of the season, Coventry FC are just newly promoted, there is a stark difference. Although, I know Coventry FC will want to prove themselves and put up a spectacular show, but it's very clear and obvious Arsenal will OP(over-power) the game.

On the news.

Brazilian football icon Ronaldinho has  been officially unveiled as a Ravenna FC player, coming out of retirement at the age of 46!

The former Barcelona and Brazil superstar is set to make a remarkable return to professional football in Italy's Serie C.

The magician is back on the pitch!
Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy
Although, this is kinda off-topic, but it would be a spectacle to see. An old man with gray hairs and port belly running around the field with kids Cheesy.

Should?? Who's going to fight Arsenal for the title, so far I can only see Manchester United and even Oluwa-btc who is a die-hard fan doesn't think they are ready yet. You keep saying clubs are cooking on a low key, can you explain what that means because afaik the transfer signings are public, and none of the top clubs can match Arsenal's quality yet.

I imagine that by cooking the low tone we mean the fact that without too much attention United are trying to do their best to demonstrate their abilities in silence, therefore without making the various noteworthy changes, but which ultimately can create some nice surprises.

I don't know if it will be like this, i think there are other teams competing against Arsenal, more than this United.

Well, basically, in the Premier League, no team really dominates strongly. Take Man City, for example. Even though they’ve won the title for several seasons in a row, we know that their point lead when they won was always very narrow. In fact, in some seasons, the point difference was only about 1 point over the second-place team. and Arsenal, who often finish in second place, finally managed to win the title last season. But we don’t know if they’ll be able to do the same this season.

Today, the new season kicks off with a match between Arsenal and Coventry City. I think this match will be fairly easy to predict.

Arsenal is going to be as we saw them last season, they will even do more than what they did last season What they did to Manchester City alrwady made me believe that Arsenal is going to do much better in the coming season.

They will even make sure they lift the coming trophy, so we should wait and see a good result from Arsenal because they are fully ready for the season, Arteta want to lift the trophy in a raw.
Season is not yet start and I can see some people comment that Arsenal are going no where this coming season, those are the really arsenal haters or is because they saw their performance in this ongoing pre/season matches their performances is not that encourage, that’s why they’re saying they didn’t expect much from them. If they can recall how Arsenal end the season with a wonderful performances last season, when they took over the top spot from Manchester City they won’t bother to underrate their performances.
The reason for this hatred against Arsenal is their good performance. The team played unstoppable last season and has signed several new players to maintain that consistency this season. Arsenal played extremely well last season but this doesn't mean they were unstoppable last they didn't win the title undefeated remember they actually lost to some clubs in the league.  Am against Arsenal winning that league, there were supposed to win it seasons past but end up either finishing second or third in the league under Arteta which almost happened again last season if not that Man city lost some points at the finishing of the league. Arsenal could also do great this season but winning the premier league title last season isn't a sure guarantee that they also going it this time.

I know you will all agree with me that if Arsene Wenger was still the Arsenal Manager he wouldn't have bought Ezri Konsa if he knew that William Saliba isn't going to be out of action for the whole season.

With Mosquera's performance Vs Man City in the community shield and Marli Salmon performance in the preseason games, Arsene Wenger would have played Christian Mosquera and if he got injured or suspended he would have played Marli Salmon as he waits for William Saliba to recover.

The trust Wenger had in the youngsters he would have looked at Ezri Konsa age (28) and called off the deal because we all know he didn't want to field players aged 29 and above so Konsa being 28 he wouldn't have paid the 50 Million to sign him.

I am not saying Mikel Arteta buying Ezri Konsa is a bad idea and he would have trusted Mosquera and Marli Salmon. I am just reminding you what we had to go through during Arsene Wenger's time as Arsenal Manager.

Marli Salmon being 16 years and Christian Mosquera 22 training everyday with more experienced defenders will make them learn more such that when Mosquera turns 25 and Marli Salmon 19, They would be ready to replace the experienced defenders we have right now in the team.

This is how dynasties are built.

Arsene Wenger was a great manager for Arsenal, he coached Arsenal for many years.
He had his own way of acting and coaching, he only wanted mature and experienced players.
But if you have good young players is right to let them play and let them mature and gain experience. The more young people play, the faster they play. You just have to have a little patience with young people. Kiss

You have a point, but it's worth noting that aside from Doku, other Man City players didn't perform that well in the Community Shield and Raya made some great saves, so I don't think the gap between them is that big... In addition to that, we shouldn't underestimate the newly promoted teams last season [remember how we drew against Sunderland], so I expect a tight game that Arsenal will win by a small margin.

Arsenal are a very strong and stable team now, and I think they will perform unstoppable this season as well, and we are going to see Arsenal start today, Arsenal will play their first league match against Coventry today. I have no doubt here, Arsenal will definitely win the match, I am 99.99% sure. I am just waiting to see them start the league with a devastating performance. Mikel Arteta will be alert from the beginning to retain the title with his best, so there is no possibility of Arsenal losing this match. I believe Arsenal will start with an unstoppable performance from the beginning. And since this season, they are now without a good manager due to the departure of Pep Guardiola from their biggest rival Manchester City, so Manchester City's performance is likely to be unexpected, so Arsenal's chances of winning the title are even better.

Yeah, sure  Grin I think Coventry's whole approach to the game will be to sit back and hope for a draw. Or, if we're considering the more extreme scenarios, score a goal on the counterattack. An Arsenal win is priced at 1.20, a -1.5 handicap win is priced at 1.61, and a BTTS Yes is priced at 2.28. It's clear that the bookmakers are viewing a 2-0 Arsenal win as the most expected result. They don't see the future, but I wouldn't argue with them on this one.

How do they expect Carrick to compete with his current defence and midfield in 4 major competitions, through out the entire season?. They're literally not making plans for fatigue and injuries, and that's enough to spoil their entire season due to lack of quality depth. It's funny how a lot of people overlook what Arsenal are currently doing in the transfer market, and think they're not making plans to dominate the hell out of the league. There's a massive difference between a club that's still trying to build, and a club that has already built a structure, but just want to re-enforce.

This is something I've noticed too. Manchester United have a club that is not giving the right importance to Carrick's requests at the moment. However, he is a coach who, among all those who have been there, is doing the best for the team.
However, the club does not seem convinced to fully trust the new coach. This is why i believe he doesn't want to give him the requested players.

It’s crystal clear. You could say that Arsenal is sure to win easily against Coventry. Especially since, in terms of team strength, Arsenal is far superior to Coventry. Not to mention, this match will be played at Arsenal’s home stadium. That means, of course, Arteta doesn’t want to disappoint his fans by failing to secure a victory over Coventry in the first match of the new Premier League season. That’s why I’m betting on an Arsenal victory with a score of 3-0.

..
It will be so bad that they  wont sign players when they are supposed to sign, and later regret not signing players when injury will come and hit them during the season. All they need now is a full squad that can compete whether there is injury or not, squad depth is very necessary,

its almost as if the United club doesn't want to row in the same direction as the coach since during the transfer window they aren't meeting the requests made by the bench very much, as if they don't want to completely rely on the coach's abilities for the changes to be made.

You can not be so sure that arsenal is gong to win their first game against Coventry even though that statistically speaking, they have the squad and overall teams ability to getting an easy win in that game. The intrigue is that, Coventry is the underdog and will definitely want to prove that they have a place in the premier league. they already know that arsenal is a better side and the defending champion so you want to play with the mindset that wining them will surely give a boost to how the rest of your season will eventually go. at the end, it is the mental strength of both teams that will tell wether the expected outcome that arsenal will win this game will stand or that they will start the season on a negative light will be the case. ideally, arsenal have the chance of sitting top on the table right from their first game but football is not as we think and can be unpredictable.

The ball is round and you never know what can happen, in football anything can happen, you know. But it seems difficult to me that Arsenal can lose against Coventry, they will start strong straight away to win the first match straight away. Obviously Coventry will also try not to make a bad impression, even a draw for them would be a nice boast and a good start.

I have watched the Arsenal narrative for years, and the goalposts keep moving. When Mikel Arteta and Arsenal fell short in previous title races, pundits like Patrice Evra were quick to highlight every failure, often predicting that Arsenal would bottle it again.

But when Arsenal finally went all the way and won the title, the narrative changed. Instead of acknowledging their progress, the same critics quickly found another angle: Arsenal supposedly cannot retain the title.

To me, that says more about the critics than Arsenal. Every time the club proves one criticism wrong, a new reason for failure appears. It feels less like objective analysis and more like an attempt to protect an old narrative.

The critics don't have much faith in Arsenal and it hurts, they have a good team and they will do everything to confirm themselves and make all these critics think again that Arsenal are really strong. We'll see what they do this season in the Premier League and we'll also be able to have their say in the Champions League..
