Let's put it out there, Arsenal vs Coventry .

This is a game I believe some rival fans are hoping on Coventry to snatch the first 3pt of the season leaving the EPL champions frustrated just like what Brentford did on the opening day of the season (2021–22) by beating Arsenal at home by 2 goals to nothing, anything can still happen despite Arsenal's wonderful performance against Manchester City in the Community Shield, it can still go the way of Coventry but it will be a difficult encounter for them to come to the Emirates and get a draw not even a win.
Being promoted to the top flight is a joy to these guys and Arteta and his boys better not see them less because they might cause them something big, losing as champions on the first day of the season isn't a nice way to go about business...

There is nothing to think otherwise in this match because i'm expecting a score of not less than 5:0 win for Arsenal. I know that promoted teams do come with new tactics that they usually use to trouble big teams in the Premier League but i don't see Coventry as who will give Arsenal any hard match. I don't even want to accord Arsenal's performance based on their last match against Manchester City, i want to go back to how they ended last season as Champions so they will want to give an impressive performance to consolidate a continuation as defending Champions.

Arteta has added some new faces and of course they came with new talents so i don't see how they will compromise their first match of the season to Coventry. In the 2021-2022 you referenced that Arsenal lost to a promoted team Brentford, they were not actually in their best performance as they previously finished in the 8th position and finished 5th in that season when they lost to Brenford in the first match of the season but when you look at Arsenal's first matches of the season since 2022/2023 season you will see that they have not lost any of their first match of the season again.

Very funny, Arsenal getting 5 goals against a newly promoted side? It can't happen, the Gunners are not the type that scores too many goals when we expect them to and against a smaller side, they'll flop. I get your point, Arsenal have too many options in their squad and the armies I'm seeing this season from the Gunners, it will be hard to see them lose a game that easy, complaining of injury and some other things that deprive them from getting the job done.
That's true, Arsenal was terrible that season, they never knew what hit them and Brentford was all over the pitch running and pressuring the Gunners, then Arteta was confused but this time around it will be different although it won't be Brentford against Arsenal but Arsenal vs Coventry and I'd go for a big home win with the score line to be a 4-1.

I see Arsenal winning Coventry no doubt because of their current form but i doubt the score line will be up to 4:1 because Coventry has just been promoted to the EPL both coach and players would want to give their best knowing fully well that their fans and owners would want to see how they will start in their new league, so i doubt the score line will get to 4:1, what am seeing in that game is a 2:0 or 2:1 win by Arsenal, well soon the wait will be over and the EPL will kick start, i can’t wait to enjoy all the moments..

It could also be that Arsenal might be the one to concede the first goal base on how they use to be, underrating little teams that are promoted and later wake up to get the game in their control but still I'm having that feeling that the 4-1 I said will happen, just don't know why but I'm going for it. The Gunners are not just having a good form but the players are something else, the midfield they have BRO (Bruno, Rice and Odegaard), starting these 3 guys will automatically lock the midfield against their opponent. I'd love to see Arteta play the 3 players, as we all know that the new sides will try to be stubborn in their first game but I believe that with the way Arsenal handled Manchester City will motivate them into their first EPL game opener.

But it seems difficult to me that Arsenal can lose against Coventry, they will start strong straight away to win the first match straight away. Also I noticed that Coventry often draw 0-0, so I'll assume Coventry will defend today and try to score on the counterattack, but I still expect Arsenal to win.

And we know the atmosphere in the season opener is always pretty intense, because every team wants to get off to a good start. That includes Arsenal, who certainly won’t let their team drop points in the first match. I think Arteta has done an outstanding job preparing the team. We’ve already seen proof of that in the Community Shield match against Man City.

You can not be so sure that arsenal is gong to win their first game against Coventry even though that statistically speaking, they have the squad and overall teams ability to getting an easy win in that game. The intrigue is that, Coventry is the underdog and will definitely want to prove that they have a place in the premier league. they already know that arsenal is a better side and the defending champion so you want to play with the mindset that wining them will surely give a boost to how the rest of your season will eventually go. at the end, it is the mental strength of both teams that will tell wether the expected outcome that arsenal will win this game will stand or that they will start the season on a negative light will be the case. ideally, arsenal have the chance of sitting top on the table right from their first game but football is not as we think and can be unpredictable.

Yes, that’s right. Anything can happen in soccer as we saw last season with so many surprising matches and unpredictable results. Coventry is actually a team that has beaten Arsenal before. But I don’t think that old loss is relevant to the current situation. Arsenal has changed a lot since then with a very different roster now. The quality of Arsenal’s players also looks very promising given that their outstanding performance last season. So I personally believe that Arsenal cannot be underestimated at all this season. And I predict that Arsenal will easily defeat Coventry. The stark difference in squad quality makes me even more certain that there’s no way Arsenal could lose to Coventry.

Well analyzed, but you have already confirmed it or will I say accepted the fact that anything is possible in football, so makes you think Coventry can not pull a surprise against arsenal, even if we think they may not be given the chance to do so, this will be arsenal first match of the season, of course every other person, will say that Arsenal will win, because they will not want to take any chances from the start, but I do not rule out anything as far as it is football, I do not know if arsenal will do exactly as you said it with the number of goals in your mind but what I know is that, Arsenal as the Favourite team and the defending champions, will not joke with that match.

I have only one thought about this team, they’ll try to play cautiously. There’s even a chance they’ll play defensively. That said, based on their preseason matches, this team certainly can’t be called weak at all. However, I’m taking into account Arsenal’s squad depth, which is certainly much more impressive. Plus, playing at home also works in Arsenal’s favor. But, well, if Arsenal ends up drawing or even losing, it’ll remind me of Sunderland last season, which also caused a major upset right from the start. And personally, I’d be very surprised. Arsenal enter the start of the season in great form. Their victory over Manchester City in the Community Shield showed that Arteta’s side already looks very cohesive. On top of that, the Londoners traditionally play with great confidence at the Emirates.
Coventry are newcomers to the Premier League, and the gap in class between them and Arsenal is far too wide, which should be even more noticeable in an away match against the reigning champions. I think the Gunners will take control of the game right from the opening whistle and dominate possession. Therefore, I expect a solid performance from Arsenal and believe the London side will win comfortably.

I think it’s too early in the season to decide this but you know what, i support this because arsenal is a really strong contender for the title race. It is a team that has all the technical capabilities to win the prem, it has the players, ( most important ) the chemistry between players and the performance in past seasons and tournaments they need for a high morale/ morale boost. So i dint see any other team challenging them

But I will never compare friendly matches with league matches. Coventry are a new team in the Premier League, I have never seen them play in the Premier League, they are back in the Premier League after 25 years, I don't know how they play, but I never think Arsenal will drop points in their first match in the league against an unknown team. Coventry may show a good performance, but they will never win the match, Arsenal are never a team to lose matches easily. I am not worried about this match, here I am sure that Arsenal will win, and by a good margin, and Arsenal will be ahead in all aspects. Arsenal will start their opening match of the league with a win anyway.

You might not be far from the truth, I think Arsenal are still the team to beat in the premier league. To me they remain the strongest and the most stable team right now. They have also recruited well in areas they need players and I still believe they are still going to sign one or two players before the transfer window closes. Another important thing to notice is that they did not sell any of their important player, so I think that's makes them favorite for the premier league,  but football has its own surprises, so we just seat back and see how the season unfolds.

I knew that Arsenal will never lose chances against Coventry because this is the first match of the season, they will want to have an edge in this first leg and I believe that more goals should be expected before halftime or in the second half. Arsenal is playing a wonderful football today, I know that some persons will say that they are playing against a promoted team but they have forgotten that Arsenal destroyed Manchester City in the community shield just this last Sunday. I like the Arsenal team this season, they're well calculative and makes every move with precision and accuracy.

Kai Havertz continues his goalscoring prowess and that is what he is known for. Good to see Saka registered his name in the score sheet too, he's also one player that has been committed to see Arsenal succeed so I hope he wins his second EPL trophy with Arsenal.

Common, Let's get Mikel Arteta his flowers for this season because he has shown what it means to take over from one of the greatest manager in football history, Pep Guardiola. He learnt well and he's thoroughly practicing what Pep Guardiola taught him. Arsenal already leading 2 nil against the newly promoted division side. They're no match for Gunners and I'm not surprise to see 2-0 on the scorelines before the minutes hits 30th.

This game might end up with Arsenal winning 4 to 5 nil because they're capable and formidably bouyant. This is the kind of games we want to see this season, what a performance from Arsenal players and they've shown every sign to dominate and win games for the club.

i think havertz is going to be a huge asset for arsenal this season. my very fanatical friends are so excited for his return and love him so much that i can’t even describe it. if you ask me, he’s better than gyökeres. he scores goals much more easily while gyökeres can barely even find the net.

it’s important for them to win their season opener because they’re the favorites after last season. what i’m really curious about is which team will follow arsenal.

That was wrong, last season was one of the toughest seasons for Manchester City especially when Rodri sustained injury and was gone for a long time, that alone gave arsenal the chance to step  above.  As at December last year, arsenal where topping the league with close to 10 points but lost it all between January to march and if not for luck they won't have won the league title because of Manchester City that picked momentum and gear up to ascertain an unbelievable consistency at the end part of the tournament. 
This same lost in consistency was among the reasons pep Guardiola decided to relieve his job at Manchester city, so arsenal should consider themselves lucky if not they won't have won any trophy

Arsenal started the league with a very good performance, they came out with their main team, Kai Havertz scored the first goal in the 15th minute and then Bukayo Saka scored another goal in the 23rd minute, and first half score is 2-0. Arsenal started the match with a very aggressive performance, Arsenal made a total of 10 attacks in the first half, they are doing better than expected in terms of attack. But on the other hand, Coventry City looks very helpless, they can't stand up to Arsenal, they only had 31% of the ball possession in the first half, I think Coventry City is going to concede more goals, I expect Arsenal to win the match by 3-0 or 4-0 in the end. Arsenal really started the league with a very good performance and also with attacking mood.
