Just tried it. Worked perfectly. Only took about 1 minute after I sent my Btc, and the Uno was in my wallet. Now I'm off to play Cryptapus Dice!

Yay. It's coming. I'd lay odds on Bryce releasing it within 60 days, although no solid date has been committed yet. There will be time for everyone to update and a big push to notify the community, exchanges, miners, service providers. Stay tuned.

The speed of the transaction was impressive. I usulally can't send Btc to any exchange without a 20 to 30 minute wait. I hope they are always that fast.

@ Cheap Uno: ' Un-Ex Trade 64: will sell 10 for 0.140 Btc' 'Project Hoover,' campers, aims to put a steady trickle of cheap Uno for sale on Un-Ex, so Un-Ex becomes a 'go-to' site. Right this second, you'd pay 0.148 each to get a packet of 10 Uno. @ F.K.: I hope I understand this Shape-Shift thing correctly: store your wealth in Uno, but buy stuff in Bitcoin? It's tailor-made for us, and perhaps we should work on a initiative to 'explain the idea around the place'? [And I am working on the 'How to Get Started on Un-Ex text] @ Welcome, Patman! I understand that merged-mining remains on the agenda, but we're not implementing it right now. The discussion starts about P. 21 here: https://cryptocointalk.com/topic/1418-unobtanium-uno-information/page-21

Yes, it will be with Bitcoin.
That's good news, looking forward to it. Good to see UN doing so well still, merge mining will only make it stronger

Hi Patman,
Yes, it will be with Bitcoin.
That's good news, looking forward to it. Good to see UN doing so well still, merge mining will only make it stronger Thanks for the vote of confidence. The idea was vetted here for quite a long time. We talked through lots of different ideas. Some people still aren't thrilled about it, but in the end it was the best idea for securing the block chain. It's something within our control.

Thank you Sadly my small UNO stash is not as large as I would like... If you find the services I provide valuable, feel free to drop me a donation to help pay for hosting and maintenance: ucrYPTxQPKkb2WTU57PjurHbCHf3rACMJhOr, lose some coins playing dice! I just played a few of your lower odds dice games with the expectation of losing the UNO I sent (of course, there's a bit of non-altruistic fun in the game of it too). Thanks for your great work in the UNO realm, Cryptapus! EDIT. it backfired and I won. Better try again :p

@ B.N.: thanks for confirming that. It's all good. All good. All good -- and . . . let's you and I and Others refresh the theory on bloat:
that is, we shall use Uno to buy stuff (in Btc via Shape-Shift). The question to ask is: what is the optimal amount of transactional volume? Where is the middle ground between:
(a) enough Uno transactional volume to maintain a strong merchant network? and
(b) an amount of transactions that will -- even decades down the track ('cause we're uniquely 'future-oriented' here at Uno) -- result in bloat?

Approaching the topic from the other end: is blockchain bloat a problem and if so, can it be dealt with outside of limiting or dictating user transaction volume? If I understand correctly, the answer is "yes, with Merkle trees." Here's an article which may be helpful: https://bitcoinmagazine.com/17824/how-to-ensure-network-scalibility-fighting-blockchain-bloat/One company that seems to be doing this already for Bitcoin is Factom: http://factom.org/They're building extended function on the blockchain and keeping it size-efficient, you might say. Factom don't have to be The People who do this, they're an example of what appears to be a well-organised bunch who have been looking into this for some time. Having just learned and read about this while composing this reply, I suspect a solution to blockchain bloat is very much an active project right now. -- Also, here's a quote from a recent discussion about BTC bc bloat right here on the bct forums: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=903336.msg9926343#msg9926343There are many others and you can even search "blockchain bloat" (including quote marks) in Google to see other stuff about this. Being that UNO is SHA256, it's handy for parallel consideration

@ Mark
(a) enough Uno transactional volume to maintain a strong merchant network? Shape Shift gets UNO in the streets to the regular GI Joes. Folks who do not use exchanges. So this makes it very easy for them to consume & save. The job of UnEx and merchant liquidity (solid price points & bulk bids) is still the same, but now we have a big hand helping manage the flo on exchange boards.
(b) i guess UNO to be the future reserve coin, rare in number and rare in movement. But it will likely be best used for Bond/Credit on Deposit ... think Forex traders, Crypto Credit Cards. None of that bookwork ends up in the UNOchain, all done in another database/book ... so we call that "Merkle trees"?
We should shift focus not on Retail but B2B. Example ... need $5000 deposit to set a deal up (says producer/manufacture). Deal agreed deposited in 3mins. Later everyone unwinds in bank credits and UNO goes back to buyer. (see not being used to buy just to secure)

I like this idea very much. Very practical and very Unobtanium-like (not being a token but a collateral asset).

Yeh!
with "extended function on the blockchain"
Yeh!
And an orientation to dealing in bullion?
Yeh!
Thanks for the answers.

And B2B?
This is exactly 'The Mall' -- us Un-Ex owner-operators gettin' our paws on steady flows of crypto 'incoming' from our own merchants/us Un-Ex owner-operators being big players on Planet Crypto on the basis of the power of our trust-network.
And the Bullion Thing, which is part of this, is happening right now here in Australia. We are gonna have to bootstrap this over time:
I have given three ounces of silver to a dealer, to be put for sale on his Website. I implore everyone to make this The Moment when you do Something Bullion-ey in your neck of the woods. Contact a dealer about accepting Bitcoin or Unobtanium. Buy or sell some bullion for crypto in any clumsy way you can manage.
Even just practice the arithmetic of 'this coin is expensive 'bullion' ' and 'this 10-oz bar is 'low premium' .' (Get set up to accept DVC!)
Woo hoo!
