I like the simplistic and minimalist look Uno has going for it. I am rather glad to see that seems to be the consensus. At least when it comes to dealing with people trying to sell us graphics. It is one thing when people create due to the desire to express.

We could use a little more discussion here, but things are in that weird spot again. Btc doesn't know wtf it is doing and i have become super jaded on the alt scene, it is all crap except for our beloved and a handful of other interesting coins. I feel like we are waiting for everyone else to 'get it' lol ;}

I totally hear what you're saying.  A few pages back, I had opined that an "innovation" for Uno is (at least in the short term) is survival. Most alts were not built with a survival "feature" in mind.   I think we can do great things with Uno going forward, but job one is to persist long enough to outlive and stand apart from these scams and speculative ventures.  I am heartened at how many long timers there are in this community, and friendly faces who return regularly.  Unlike the lower 2,000 coins on CoinMarketCap, UNO is not in danger of disappearing. Not even close.  I'm settling in for the long haul here. Hope you all will too.

I am making a concerted effort to move my main laptop to Linux Mint.
Of course one of the first things I wanted to do was install a Uno wallet.  I love Cryptapus' port of Electrum wallet for Uno on Windows, so I went over to https://cryptap.us/uno/electrum/ to see what I could do.

Because I'm still a Linux neophyte and have never been good compiling anything, I thought to myself, "This is gonna suck."

Thankfully Cryptapus provided a pre-compiled Electrum Linux wallet for Uno. Still... you never know if it will work from one distro to another.  I downloaded it and it opened right up in Linux Mint's package manager.
I clicked on the executable, fully expecting that I would eventually have to Google the answer to some arcane Linux fail status code and sudo- this or that to get it to run.

Surprise! Electrum opened right up and began to run. Within a minute, it had connected to one of Cryptapus' Electrum servers.





Installation was a breeze, even easier than on Windows 10. It just worked.  If Gekko was a Linux man, he would have been proud at how easy it was.
The teeniest issue I encountered was an update notice that is for the Bitcoin version of Electrum wallet.  
Other than that, having Electrum running so effortlessly will go along way to helping me complete my move to Linux.

Yep, we're marching ahead! We may have bottomed out. Halving in 22 days. Our many wallets are working beautifully. Rockchain forges along perfectly. We've had 10 months of shifting distribution. Number of coins in exchanges has been reduced significantly. & We have more nodes than I have personally seen (We have 7 nodes in Germany, leave it to Germans to silently appreciate our strong, practical technicals).

Price too low to be realistic. I think it's oversold. Fair Price should be well above this.

It took a little longer than I thought, but Uno has always rewarded me for patience.

I think that pile at Bittrex will not last long.

This is a great price for Uno. Historically, Uno has clung to the $2 range. This has been advantageous to Uno holders as bitcoin slides, causing Uno to gain vs Bitcoin. Unless btc rockets off again, this could be an excellent accumulation opportunity for those jumping between btc & uno.

No you aren't wrong: Bleutrade closed all USD markets ~ 1 month ago due to increasing difficulty with U.S. regulations.

Uno has been at Bleu for about 13 months now. Its been good to us, and trades regularly even if lightly.

I guess this means that, except for AltQuick, Uno no longer has a USD market.

In other exchange news, we're getting a Dnotes/Uno pair on Cryptopia. I know Dnotes has some fans here.

yes Bleutrade had one but never enough volume to warrant trading thus your u$dollars were stuck there and withdrawing or depositing was tough even if you used btc as the means.  

the solution is Nubit or Tether / UNO market.  Nubit is vote listed on cryptopia, but doesn't seem to be a popular choice.  still it would be a great addition and creates an USD/UNO market.  

in the meantime UnEx can handle Paypal or Nubit trades (for vetted community members).

also my hope is that ShapeShift/AltQuick can fill the gap and provide Nubit or Tether / UNO market (but currently the premium is a bit to much and lacks the ability to trade more than 5kg at a go).

regardless a solid USD/UNO market is a key goal in mind for 2016.

Could someone with a Bank of America account with $13702.56 wire it over to them for 7406.253 UNO?  
I'd like to see what happens to the price of Uno if you did that (assuming BoA doesn't lock down your account first).

I don't think you would be able to buy a quantity like that across all exchanges at an avearage of us$1.84.
