PRo is great to have in the collection, UNO is and must be more than just one coin, we need our own sidechains so like it or not this boring stuff is part of the road to success.
@Gekko want to do something useful? Start some commotion with Doge, get a dialogue going with actors in that such community, big things can happen, and there is near $12M in capital that can be put to use. Just going to say it once ... UNO-DOGE-FTC ... is bigger and better than NXT or BTS or any other 'platform' because it is decentralized and organic. You hit some connections on that end and UNO hits $1M ... cake walk.
Resting and recreating in BKK this week.
Following on my brainstorm from last week, I am working on a short draft describing "The Foundation". How it might be established, managed and what it would do. When my draft is done I'll post a link here so you guys can have at it.
The beauty of this is that if we can, as a group, indeed make a low-ball offer that goes through for the Cryptsy UNO, we will have, with integrity and fairness, accomplished what the scummier alts have repeatedly proposed and failed to do with pre-mines and ICOs: created a managing body that truly belongs to nobody while possesing it's own budget for promoting the liquidity, use and value of the coin.
I'll be quiet until I have something to show. In a nutshell, I think we would define what we'd be willing to pay for the Cryptsy UNO stash: 10, 20, 30 cents on the dollar?
Any of us who would like can put BTC or Fiat into the fund to make the purchase. Somebody US based will probably have to make the bid. And here's the beauty part:
If the bid is successfull, each "Founder" who put in say 1 BTC will immediately receive 1 BTC worth of UNO at current market prices upon completion of the acquisition. Then, "The Foundation" will owe each one of those Founders their 1 BTC back, payable in the future, say two years out, when "The Foundation's" stock of UNO rises in value from it's marketing efforts and market making profits. So Founders are incentivized by basically "doubling" their investment (getting a market based number of UNO back immediately, and owning a "bond" that will be paid back at a later date, because The Foundation will have somewhere between $10,000-$16,000 worth of UNO at present market prices to pay for translations, marketing campaigns, making markets in thin exchanges and raising conciousness).
And it will take two years to even execute this because the Cryptsy liquidation will be messy and long winded. We have time. But in UNO years, two or three years is but the blink of an eye.
I'll illustrate this better when I write the paper. For the moment, back to my R&R activites.
