PR/Uno testnet is running. As a test, I successfully transferred a few PR from Cryptopia to my windows wallet. I am also receiving PR/test coins from mining the Wmikrut.com pool.
All is not perfect, though. It takes work to connect my Windows wallet to Cryptapus' nodes, whether I am using Uno testnet or PR wallet.
It just doesn't seem to discover nodes on the network. The problem seems worse with the Windows wallet, from what I am reading.
Until someone smart and trusted volunteers to recompile the Windows wallet with new nodes or fixed upnp, I'm not sure how much further I can take it.
The good news is PR now has a pool, exchange, explorer and a pair of nodes (all running Linux, I think). Bad news the Windows wallet does not easily connect to the network. If you need to move coins to a PR address where you control the private key, this probably a good time.
I know
cryptopia appreciates what we're doing. Hex wrote "the good guys over at the UNO community stepped up to sort the mess out and get the PR network moving again."
Its hard to find a good dev, and nothing underscores that more than when they step away for a while. Operating a coin is a collaborative effort. We learned that with Uno when it looked dead to HC, and now we see it again with PR. There are a lot of services that go into keeping a coin alive. If HC wants to change his mind based on the revived interest he's seen here, I for one would welcome him back
Otherwise, I'll do what I can between Uno activities to keep PR up.
