I am still not 100% sure this is a node issue (I hope so). I know it might seem silly to some to throw good money after bad, but I am not at all okay with how this went down. Though I didn't own or benefit from Prototanium, I encouraged the dev and saw it as a kid brother to UNO. It as, afterall Uno testnet. I don't understand at all why the dev abandoned PR as he did. I haven't been able communicate with him about it. It was very out of character. I'm saddened by it.
...
So thanks for your help Cryptapus, and yes, your support is valuable, appreciated, and certainly worth a modest bounty. You are consistent, responsive, available, dependable, engaged, helpful creative... everything this community needs. You are a commodity as rare as UNO. Thanks for all you do.
Thanks for the kind words and the bounty. I am leaning to believe that this was completely a node issue. If you're running a node and you don't have more than 8 connections you are most likely behind a NAT or have the p2p ports firewalled. In other words you're not running an full (open) node and a healthy network needs them. Learn to do port forwarding or run it on a DMZ. My personal opinion of the testnet is that it is worthless. The coins themselves are meant for testing and should be freely available. Anything else is is just a distraction and just another (in this case even pre-mined) altcoin... But that's the last I'll say about testnet coin value. Any extra that get sent to me or donated I will give away if you can provide an idea for what they will be used for to improve UNO. (as an aside, do some research as to why testnet is called "testnet3" in your config directory ) I will leave the testnet running for a while, but no promises on it's ultimate fate... That will be up to the testnet users (if there really are any).

@FK where are the links to the proto wallet? I found that I had a few on cryptopia and wanted to offload them from the exchange...
Source is on github, I dunno who has the windows wallets available. You can always just fire up your UNO testnet binaries if you already have those

technically yes. When you consider block speed, it's 3.33x. However if it fills I'm sure we would consider raising it (it's been forked for much more controversial reasons)... But most blocks are empty and it would have to take on 3x bitcoin's transactions to become an issue.

If you want to foster development on a coin as rare as UNO supposedly is, then those that tinker with these sort of things need a clean testnet that works.

I would like to imagine that a user would craft tx's instead of spamming trivial amounts on the network.

I uploaded the Prototanium Windows wallet to Mega, https://mega.nz/#!vJtSiRxR!n5QqzLU8TOvS6ptCi0mEcEF6bp9jjeJrnbjAGFK-DvMWas there a compiled Linux wallet? If so, I don't have it. You can also start your UNO wallet like this: unobtanium-qt.exe -testnet Testnet addresses will work to receive your PR.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tPQP8axBU60Trace Mayer @ Bitcoin has seven network effects **Note he promises to buy any other coin that offers a better proposition @ 10 minutes** We need Trace. And I offer Trace the right to buy 50 UNO @ $50 good until 2018. We can get him on board Point is ... Trace is right. BTC has won the network effects. He names 7. The biggest is the 'wire' and 'corp' adoption for settlement ... today $90M was done in digital $. UNO is btc elite. The 8 th network effect. Null inflation. Store of Value. Rare. Secure. Case Closed.

There's a bunch of coins getting pumped right now. We've seen this "group pump" action before.

too bad I didn't take an all in position Doge can act as a liquidity instrument for the other alts. Fine tuning price discovery. And it can act to do the micro transactions and basically end the BTC block size debate. --- But something bigger is happening this week. 24h Crypto Vol: $ 92,306,452 and nearly half of it is not bitcoin. I've never seen this, not even +20% for the alts, now alts have a 50% share. It is the start of a major trend, next is the market capital starting to flee into Alts. That might take many months yet. But will happen. There will be a day in the future where Alts don't just have more volume than bitcoin everyday, but also more total market capital, way more. Also note the 'Mooning' effect (and the full moon) .... lunatics pumping VPN worth more than NXT, or Earth coin, or other China picks that have null developments that I am aware of? https://bitebi9.com/trading @ #2 anyone tested them out yet? I noticed a buggy wallet feature, so still haven't tried deposit/withdraw.

Interesting thought, that. Dogecoin does have a "can-do" community if nothing else.

Year of the Doge!
I was sitting in an airport the other day and noticed DOGE was in the low 40s? I think?
Thought, wow, I should buy some. Didn't because I boarded the plane, wish I would have now!
Oh well, Pumps come and go...

Some expected like DOGE or ETH, but XSI or EAC - where did that come from?! For many of these this is obviously not sustainable and they will fade again, fast. Interesting point about the overall volume of alts being so high in relation to Bitcoin volume - some food for thought. I looked at Bitebi9 but it seems weird to me, site appears only half functional and volume is minimal. Would rock to have a bigger CNY market for UNO right now.

Coincap.io (Shapeshift's version of coinmarketcap.com) has a "Dominance Index" at the top which is the % of total cryptocurrency marketcap that bitcoin holds, it's still around the 89% that is has been for quite some time, so watch that number if you're interested in how alts fare compared to bitcoin.
It's funny, I just sold about 600,000 doge at 40 satoshi a couple of days ago, I could have gotten another $200 for those if I would have waited, grrr, OH WELL. When you're playing poker & investing in alts you've got to learn to take the hits with grace, I'm still working on that.
I once held 22 different cryptocurrencies, I've gotten that down to 9, planning to hold only 3 or 4 in the future (Unobtanium, bitcoin & a couple short-term investments.)
$1,000 of UNO volume today, someone placed 300 coins at 0.0031 for a day then got impatient & dumped them to 0.00275. I think the strategy at this point should be to place buys in the 0.002's & wait for Cryptsy withdrawals to be enabled. UNO will have another moment of glory in the near future, just keep buying and moving coins away from exchanges.
I'm delaying my monthly exchange report until I can get more accurate data on the Cryptopia & Safecex holdings.

Good old times, I sold millions of DOGE in Jan 2014 @30sat, 4 weeks later it was @300sat. Or that time I sold 10k VTC @4k sat and the next day the pump starts and 4 weeks later its @200k sat. Or that time I ... nah this is too depressing, lol. There's nothing quite like missing out on a good 10-100x pump to make you feel like a fool.

My patience was rewarded on 'trex today. That helped nudge my average cost down a tiny bit.
The time will come when we'll say, "Aw, I could have bought 426.9996 Uno at .0043. Why didn't I do that."
