Anyway, what do you think it will take to get us on the Board?

You can see how far behind we are at the main voting page: https://c-cex.com/?id=vote

Somebody donated $4 worth if bitcoin in the last few hours, thanks a lot to whoever did that. We need another ~$21 to get in the #1 spot, then we'd have to watch it in the last few hours of voting to make sure we aren't passed. Otherwise we'd just have to wait another 7 days. I'm not sure how paid or free votes carry over between voting periods.

We've got about 15 hours to go. I'll send some funds that way if I see that we're closer when I get home from the lab.
How we looking now?  Tongue

You magnificent bastard!

Unfortunately it seems that Litecred (never heard of it) spent $140 to make it to the top. We're only ~$6 behind, I'll send it in the last few minutes (allowing time for 1 confirm) in an effort to clinch the addition without starting a bidding war, if it doesn't work for some reason we'll have to wait until next week (I'm assuming the votes carry over, that'd be fucked if they didn't).

Litecred is a new cryptocurrency with the characteristic of self-funded development, via block subsidy of 10% for each minted block. That 10% will be not directly usable at the beginning of the development stage but it will be achieved at PoW end, this means we are going to receive only around 0.8% every month. This will guarantee a small and continuos flow to the developers, in order to mantain the project active. There is no developer premine at launch. Funds collected from mining will be held in a public address and will be used for future development and/or given to users with proven skills that will help us with improvements/marketing and promotion.

Litecred wants to be intended as Decred side-project. Considering Decred as Bitcoin 2.0, Litecred wants to be Litecoin 2.0

premine shit coin with an unnamed developer, where have I heard that before.  New coin with 30 million coins already Shocked

Electrum-uno has been updated to v2.6.2. Get your latest binaries here:

https://cryptap.us/uno/electrum

This version includes a handy way to tip the electrum-uno-server that you're connected to under "Help"->"Donate to server". Perhaps this will encourage more electrum servers Smiley

This is super cool.

Took me a while to squeeze this into 140 characters, tweeting is an art. Spread the word: https://twitter.com/natmcmolecule/status/707745703309742080

Thats awesome, thanks! I'm on my way to get mine.

I am such a rube at Linux. I setup a DigitalOcean droplet this weekend and screwed with it for 2 hours, but could not get the UNO wallet to compile. Could not get the Bitcoin wallet to compile. Could not install VNC to access the desktop.  Pardon me if I didn't jump right into Electrum server. That is my goal.

Didn't someone post some good instructions about compiling UNO to Linux once?

I'm going to ask the 50% dice game if I should continue this...

Yes, our base hashrate dropped by more than 60%  Undecided

We need to maintain a selection of reliable pools. Whatever reason they had for dropping us we need to make sure that it doesn't continue to be a problem in the future.

For some reason merged coins cause instability in our stratum servers. Not specific to UNO, but it is why we've removed all MM coins from scrypt and sha256 on zpool.

We're working at figuring out why so eventually we hope to add it back on www.zpool.ca

Cheers
Crackfoo, thank you for the explanation. If there's anything in the Uno wallet causing instability for merged mining, send me the long and I'll have it looked at. We'll look forward to having Xpool/Zpool back soon.

We've flipped UNO back on at www.zpool.ca. Will see how it does for this week.

Cheers

Where does it show that UNO is being merge mined? I'm mining BTC on port 3333 but didn't have to input an UNO address anywhere...

BitcoinCharlie is the man who made it happen. He happily committed ~50 UNO (worth of btc) to get us listed sooner than later.

Now it's on us to keep those markets liquid.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_inflation_rate

UNO is at 7th place on that list, between Liechtenstein and Norway.

There's more to it than that though (such as how the rates are calculated and what is happening with the deflationary currencies), I'll be interested to look into it more later. Please chime in if you know about this stuff.

Cool stuff happening lately in UNO land, fun to watch!

I just noticed, UNO is sitting right at the price where it was when I first discovered it over two years ago! I traded my first few kg of UNO on Coinex, had a lot of fun playing the .0045 to .005 spread then, made a nice 10% return (on a few bucks) a few times a day. Then you know who appeared and took us for a ride.

Historically the upside from here has been +400% to +800% from here, the downside -40% to -66%. So still a great zone to go long on UNO me thinks. Cheesy

Thanks for the recognition, Nat, but you were actually the one that made it happen as I was out of pocket and couldn't make the send.

Great news for all to be on a new Exchange! Go UNO!

Nice Shinohai, I've never been there, is it good?

I requested that C-CEX reduce their UNO witdhrawal fee. 0.1 is too steep, it's 0.01 on Bleutrade, 0.0002 on Bittrex & 0.0001 on Cryptopia. I'd probably even ask Bleutrade to reduce theirs if we went over $5/coin.

Trade fees are only 0.2% though, that's a good deal.

I tweeted my C-CEX referral link: https://twitter.com/natmcmolecule/status/708080319476441092 so use that if you're a new user who wants to put orders on the book immediately. If BitcoinCharlie wants to post his you should use that instead. It only rewards 5% of fees collected but it could add up over the years.

I just sent some BTC and UNO to put on the book. Both addresses worked fine, 2 confirmations for BTC, 7 for UNO so ~20 minutes for each.

Edit: C-CEX offers distribution info! That's a feature that I praised Bittrex for offering & was annoyed by Crypty's refusal to offer. Unfortunately it doesn't show amounts, but eventually we may be able to identify their total holdings using a block explorer. Only 6 addresses generated so far.
