If Manchester United beat Everton this evening and then Chelsea beat Arsenal next week, it will make things exciting and interesting at the top of the table

Had high hope until I saw Anthony Taylor being selected to officiate our game against Arsenal - that man hates us with everything in him. We just need to find a way to win; it's going to be difficult with Anthony Taylor on the pitch but we just have to find a way around it.

If Arsenal wins it would be hard to catch up on a 9+ points gap.

Looking at it now, it sure looks like how it should be in the EPL.  I mean it's not the usual thing we see without United or Liverpool in there but seeing the current top 4 is what a usual EPL top 4 would look like.

Here is the latest Premier League table after the game that was played yesterday between Manchester United and Everton.

Tottenham and Manchester United could have moved in to a Champions League place but both lost their respective games. Whereas it was always going to be difficult for Tottenham to get anything against Arsenal, there was an opportunity for Manchester United against Everton but they also lost.

Have some faith in your team, give Chelsea some credit for where they are in the Premier League table

Yeah everyone else deserves to be there except for Aston Villa - I was surprised to see them in top 4 after not scoring a single goal in their 1-4 games if I'm not mistaken. How did they move from being shitty to making top 4 already lol. That was too fast, they got luck last weekend with that comeback.

Enzo Mascara might be building something special - I don't want to start dreaming again.

^  Aston Villa totally deserves to be in that spot.  They've beaten Tottenham away, Man City at home and they've beaten a decent Bournemouth squad 4 - 0.  The only loss they gotten in their last 6 matches was against Liverpool.  And they've been scoring goals.

I'm just talking about EPL matches btw.  I leave the rest out when looking at the fixtures as cup games and games at across Europe have a different kind of dynamic.

But yeah, shows Unai Emery is a decent manager.

Manchester united started the game in a favorable condition with almost all players available to play in the game but the reason for that terrible defeat is what we still don't know because the likes of amed and mbunmo where all present in the game  both could not capitalize on everton on man down.

Maresca does deserve credit. If Chelsea fans were told that after twelves games they would be 2nd in the table and achieve that without Palmer, they would happily accept it. Maresca has motivated Chelsea and made them believe they can win the title this season.

We all know W7 D2 L3 is not the record of champions but at the moment they are just six points behind Arsenal therefore anything can happen. After Chelsea host Arsenal this weekend, the gap could remain the same with a draw or be reduced to three or increased to nine, it depends on how badly Chelsea and Arsenal want to win.

You have a valid point. If a team playing at home cannot score against an opponent that has a player sent off and concede a goal when they had an extra man on the pitch, it is clear they are in trouble. Manchester United were unable to take advantage of having the extra man because they were playing with three at the back. Everton played the perfect game to ensure they won.

Think about it, you are the manager of a massive club and you are playing at home yet your team is losing 1-0 to an opponent that is playing with ten men. Why are there three defenders to defend against one striker? Amorim stated more than once that he will never change his tactics but his failure to adapt according to the needs to the game was exposed again.

Congratulations to Moyes, his team adapted to playing around 80 minutes of the game with 10 players and they won without conceding a goal.

Brentford 3-1 Burnley
Manchester City 3-2 Leeds United
Sunderland 3-2 Bournemouth
Everton 1-4 Newcastle United

Tottenham will play Fulham in the evening game.

Manchester City were going to draw 2-2 against Leeds United but Foden scored a goal in the 91st minute. As a result of the win, they have moved up to 2nd place in the table.

Everton were losing 4-0 at home to Newcastle United before they scored a consolation goal. Expectations were high after Everton beat Manchester United at Old Trafford earlier this week but Newcastle United had an emphatic win.

Sunderland deserve a lot of credit for the way they have played since getting promoted. It was always going to be a difficult game against Bournemouth but they won.

Historical win for Sunderland coming from a 2 goals down to winning 3-2 FT against a very good defensive Bournemouth solid team - do we have another 2014/2015 Leicester City on our hands? This was exactly how Leicester City started and we all thought they'd run out of luck at some point and they supprised us all. This is a very determined team, they don't panic, they stick to their game plan and execute it perfectly.

Manchester city progigal saved them today from a very shamble performance - we may likely not see him again in the next fixtures.

Totteham losing to a shitty Fulham side - they seems to be losing it, they started the season well but they've been a shadow of theirs selves In recent games.

They have been playing well therefore congratulations to Sunderland. They will probably finish the season in the top half of the table, they will not be anywhere near the European spots at the end of the season 

There were 60,000 fans in the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium that witnessed another home defeat. I have no doubts about Thomas Frank, he is a good manager and will prove Tottenham made the right decision to hire him but the results are not good. Imagine how the fans feel because they were expecting Tottenham to be performing much better.

As for Foden, he saved Manchester City against Leeds United with a late goal but if they want to challenge Arsenal and Chelsea they need much more than last minute goals.

What do you think of our game? -  we could have done better without the red, came to early, ruined our game plan also kept Palmer out of the game. We were literally the better team even with the red today, great performance I'm beginning to have a great confidence in this team. Enzo Mascara on the tactical side did well with the substitutions too.

Chelsea were brilliant, the team has something special about them. They did not allow Arsenal to control and dictate the game even after the sending off.

In the slow replays you could see Caicedo was definitely not injured when he nearly broke the leg of the Arsenal player, he probably thought he would get sent off therefore pretended he was injured. With him on the pitch, Chelsea could have won the game and taken all three points.

Of course Arsenal have a talented squad and deserve to be leading the Premier League but Chelsea looked comfortable when Arsenal attacked. From a defensive perspective, it was a bad goal for Chelsea to concede. They should not have allowed Merino a free header between two defenders. Arsenal did not give up, they searched for an equaliser and got it because they believe in the ideology Arteta has brought to the club.

Unless something changes and they start losing games, one of these two teams deserves to win the Premier League.

Red card worthy but I just think it was too early in a game like that, the initial yellow card was okay IMO it was a stupid tackle but James had the same one from our game against Totteham and VAR didn't even bother looking at it. Anthony Taylor was too careless with the bookings Yesterday - gave out so many yellow in the first half to kill the pace of the game.

We can agree that regardless of what happened in the game, Chelsea are good enough to challenge for the title.

As for the bottom half of the table...  It looks interesting too with Newcastle, Tottenham and Fulham?  You'd think these clubs would do better after 13 fixtures.  Let's see what's in store for them after Boxing Day.

We're in the part of the season where squad depth matter the most, this is the part where the smaller teams competing for the top struggles to keep with top clubs with enough squad depth - the likes of Sunderland might not survive the top 5 after December and January fixtures.

What the hell did we watch yesterday?
After 1:5, Fulham reached 4:5 against City, and they largely outplayed the title contender. They really deserved at least a draw from this game and were very close.
We can expect everything from this City. And to destroy a strong team, and also to be bullied by an "average" team

I also followed the Barcelona vs. Atlético Madrid game at the same time, it seems to me that the difference in the quality of the leagues has never been more obvious. I got the impression that Fulham would crush both teams, even though they were the top 2 of the 3 teams from Primera.

^  Oh you know how it is.  When a team gets an early lead in what might look like a trashing...  They sometimes get too comfy in there and the opposing team then takes advantage and play catch up.

That's used to be the case with the way Klopp makes his teams play, as he likes them to play hard during the start and get goals in asap.  But what happens is they get fatigued early and the other team catches up. 

Btw..  He said he could go back and manage Liverpool again.  Would be good.

The only thing keeping Manchester city up this season is Halaand scoring form and Donnarumma individual brilliancy - the defense has been poor, I'm not surprised they have too many injuries at the back, they are marely patching things up. Got lucky to have walked away with 3 points last night that's what really matters.

Jolly I told you we are not ready to compete for the title this season, we still have too many positions to tighten up - we've been moving from Top 4 to Top 6 all season, no consistency. The best we can pull out of this season is Top 4 finish.

Arsenal beat Brentford but Leeds United beat Chelsea therefore the top of the table has changed again. Liverpool were struggling to win against Sunderland at home, they managed a draw after going a goal down. They are in trouble. Fulham nearly beat Manchester City. Somehow Manchester City won that game therefore are five points behind Arsenal.
