Does anyone know when Chelsea's first match of the 2025/26 season is? I’ve gone through ESPN schedule but haven’t managed to find the exact date yet. My bankroll is sitting idle, waiting for some good bets. Hopefully, they’ll kick off the season with the win and stay at the top of the table all the way to the trophy. I have voted for Chelsea.

Barcelona is a murky story, if you are a player with other options, it would be better not to get involved with this club.

Winning La Liga means they are in a better position financially than not winning it. It also means they are playing Champions League football next season and can attract players. They are paying £325,000 a week for Rashford, they are not financial trouble. If in the future they break financial fair play rules, it will not affect the players as they just want to play football. Any players that wants to move to Barcelona have nothing to be afraid of.

Mane was (and still is) a very good player that knows how to play to his strengths and how to contribute for his team. He had punched Sane after a Champions League game they had lost therefore the manager/club had to sell him.

Sane is German, he plays for the national team and was there at Bayern Munich for many years whereas Mane was there for just one season. They had to sell Mane and keep Sane.

If nothing has changed, then the income from winning La Liga is literally 2% higher than from second place (and another 2% higher than from third, i.e. 4% in total). An insignificant difference, don't you think? Barcelona are always in the top 3 and this did not stop them from falling into the worst crisis in their modern history.
We'll judge whether Rashford's salary is not a problem when he's registered, I haven't seen any news about it yet.

Any players that wants to move to Barcelona have nothing to be afraid of.

I do not see any player refusing to play for Barcelona because of any financial problems. The only club I would advise any player to be careful of over financial fair play rules has to be Manchester City (with approximately 115 alleged breaches).

Yeah he's Germany's manager now.  I wonder how hard it would be for some big clubs to poach him away from international football?  If either Chelsea manager or Liverpool manager starts flopping, he could be a good option.  And with him being German, pretty sure both clubs have had good experiences from their prior German managers...  Esp Liverpool. 

Chelsea had a decent time under Tuchel too.  Won them the UCL when everybody didn't even consider them to win the whole thing.

German manager? Forget about it he's not coming to club management anytime soon- German coaches are usually very faithful and stay for long. He's building the team towards the World Cup, not sure why he would abandon that mid way..

He did applied for a position after Poch was sacked, met our owners and withdrew his application. 

Yeah..  But who knows.  Nagelsmann is still young.  Usually the managers that run national squads are those ones that are already late in their careers.  I think a guy like Klopp would be a better fit to be Germany manager.  Would be nice to see him and Guardiola go at it again in international football.    Klopp with Germany and Guardiola with Spain...  Mix in the revival of Mourinho to manager Portugal.  Aaaahh what a time to be alive if that were to happen. 

Anyway...  A couple more weeks to go til match day 1!  Aston Villa vs Newcastle,  Brighton vs Fulham and United vs Arsenal will be the matches I'll be watching.

There are few very important games on the opening week that I'll love to watch. Liverpool's game is a must watch since it isn't having any other game on the same day, United game and the Chelsea game happening on the same day is always a must watch for me and thank God they aren't being played at the same time. The rest of the games I mightn't watch but I'll keep up with the score line. I can't wait for the premier league to begin as the break is looking too long already for me. They wouldn't risk that much money on a prospect; he's 22 years old, not a teenager, so they expect immediate impact to help the squad - if they fail to get Isak, he'll lead their attack.  He came at a high price, and there is a lot of pressure on him to perform.

The only way to relieve the pressure on him is if they can get Isak, as all attention will be focused on him rather than Ekitike.

Anything less than a top three finish for Chelsea will be a huge disappointment. They played brilliantly to win the Club World Cup therefore there are a lot of high expectations from this team. They might not have all the pieces in the jigsaw to guarantee winning the Premier League but they have a squad that is capable of winning.

Newcastle United announced Isak is training at Real Sociedad (his former club) while he recovers from injury but it is well known he is upset Newcastle United rejected an approach by Liverpool to buy him. Liverpool ended up buying Ekitike instead.

The problem was Newcastle United knew he wanted to leave therefore they should facilitated the move and tried to sell him for as much as possible but they took that opportunity away for Liverpool to approach Isak. He will be 26 years old next month and earns £120,000 per week. He can move to another club and earn at least £250,000 per week.

Liverpool have now made an official first offer of £100 million (which is less than £120 million with add-ons) but Newcastle United want to sell him for £150 million. This could become a mess if Liverpool do not make another offer and Isak is forced to play Newcastle United against his will.

Did you completely miss the stories about Barcelona asking a whole bunch of players (Pique, Alba, Busquets, Lenglet, etc.) to take pay cuts because of financial problems? Sometimes it looked very dirty, like in the case of De Jong. Did you miss all this? The situation when Olmo missed games because he wasn't registered? Just recently, Nico Williams did not move to Barcelona for one single reason - Barcelona could not guarantee that he would be registered. This can literally be described as "refused to play for Barcelona because of their financial problems". Don't you see it?

We now have better striking options although Jackson will be missed but he gave us his best. We need to be scoring more and defend better too. Doing this can win us the premier league, Liverpool didn't have to wait on Arsenal to win the premier league before they went all in last season to lift it after many years of Man city dominance. The title is open to any one willing to take it so that's what the boys should be doing (win us the title).

At the end of the day, it was in the past they asked players to take a pay cut therefore I think it is somewhat exaggerated, their financial system is not going to cause problem for any player that they sign (either or loan or buy). About non-registration of a player, that too as fas as I am concerned it a technical issue and it has not stopped the team performing nor has it created major problems for the club.

In my opinion, players that want to play for the club will not hesitate to sign for them.

As for their potential, Chelsea have the squad to push for the Premier League. This is probably the happiest Boehly and his board have been since they took over the club (by paying an overinflated price) because they really have a strong chance of winning the Premier League. If Chelsea get off to a good start, it will be interesting to see how they progress throughout the season.

I would have advised them to take the money and run too. It seems no other team has made an offer for Isak and no other teams are interested. If Liverpool do not make another offer, Isak will have stay at Newcastle United. The club, his team and fans know he wants to go therefore him going back to the team will not be easy.

Mbuemo and Cuhna are both attackers, not a proper striker and besides they're still begging Sesko to join them because they need a striker so badly. Most of their goals came from midfielders and wingers last season so they're absolutely lacking a proper striker.

Jackson is not the standard but he's currently better than what they have at the moment. If Sesko goes to Newcastle, Manchester united might consider Jackson.

This good because I think winning the first match could really set their tone for this season. This good because I think winning the first match could really set their tone for this season. First 10 games are still baby steps and can't shape the top 3, for recent times the Top3 were shaped on the last days.

I like your Top 3 prediction anyway but the problem here is I don't see Arsenal missing out of the top 3 this season. They will compete for the league again for sure..

If he remains unsold, I hope he is welcomed back with open arms by the fans and the players because there is no doubt Isak is a good player. He just wants to fulfill his dreams by playing for a bigger club and receive a much bigger salary too.

It will be interesting to see if Chelsea manage to win the Premier League. Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City will try to win it therefore it will be a competitive season.
