The problem is he can't sell any stakes till after 10 years unless he's is selling to other Co owners of the club- he is not allowed to sell to external investors.

I suppose that means the same for Clearlake, they cannot sell to any external party either unless it is after 10 years? The mind does boggle at the manner in which these modern day contracts are written. The new owners should have added a clause that allowed an outcome for this very same issue that Chelsea are facing now.

Not adding a provision in the contract could cause Chelsea growth and investment problems for the foreseeable future. The fans are probably extremely upset at how this is unfolding.

I also think the comparison is a bit complicated. From what I've seen, Mikel Arteta's work at Arsenal was very good, but it took a while for the team to really click.

Eddie Howe at Newcastle United is still building the team. Three years seems like a long time, but considering where the club came from, there has been some progress. Now the pressure to seriously fight for a top-four finish is starting.

And this David Moyes game against Liverpool… betting against Liverpool is almost always risky, but who knows, maybe there will be a surprise.

Eddie Howe has been there for 4+ years; I think it's been a successful rebuild so far despite PRS rules not permitting them to splash the cash like other top teams in the league - you're only allowed to spend base on your revenue and Newcastle United revenue is still very small.

Oh ok...  So that's good then.  I like Eddie Howe overall and I'd like him to stay in the EPL, be it at Newcastle or any other team.  But would love to see him take the club to the top for one season tho then see him manage a bigger club.  Maybe LFC or one of the cursed jobs like Chelsea or Man United..?

For that reason they will not be able to attract the caliber of player they would prefer. After all, they have signed too many players in the past that signed for the money rather than the club ethos.

At least when Garnacho had Fernandes and other experienced players around him, he was grounded and they knew how to bring the best out of him. At Chelsea, he seems to have been left alone to find his own place in the team and it is not working.

Whenever he received the ball on the wing, he found Dalot blocking him. Garnacho did not even once try to run down the line and cross the ball, I think he knew Dalot would beat him therefore he cut inside on every occasion. He is still young, I hope Garnacho settles down and finds some confidence. The Premier League will be better if he performs the way we have all seen in the past for Manchester United.

OMFG!!!  I can't believe Guardiola is doing Arteta another bad one.  Lolol!!  They should be equal in points at 70 each as Man City has 32 matches played while Arsenal has 33 matches played.  The closing fixtures of the season is gonna be goooood...  

I think it's the best time for Guardiola to leave City if they win the league.  Get out with a high note and prolly some extra money.  Lol.

These are the results of the games played yesterday Sunday 19th April:

Aston Villa 4-3 Sunderland
Everton 1-2 Liverpool
Nottingham Forest 4-1 Burnley
Manchester City 2-1 Arsenal

Aston Villa overcame Sunderland to increase their lead over Chelsea to ten points. Liverpool are now seven points ahead of Chelsea therefore it seems as though Manchester United, Aston Villa and Liverpool will join Manchester City and Arsenal in the Champions League next season.

Gabriel escaped a red card. Gabriel and Haaland received yellow cards when Haaland did nothing to warrant the card yet Gabriel should have been sent off for violent conduct when he pushed his head forward to hit Haaland. Credit and respect to Haaland for not reacting with violence and not falling to the ground trying to get Gabriel sent off. At the very least VAR should have advised the referee to look at the monitor if they were not going to make the decision themselves.

Having said that, Manchester City deserved to win the match. Arsenal were ahead in the Premier League but a series of very bad results has allowed Manchester City back in the title chase. Arteta has to be held responsible for the collapse.

Unfortunately for Garnacho, the £40 million should shave been a bargain but it is becoming a liability. I think all of them (Olise, Eze, Semenyo) are worth far more than £40 million and very talented players that perform to the highest level when they have the opportunity to play. Olise is playing well at Bayern Munich and is part of a successful team headed by Kane.

Sometimes I feel like these owners are runing some illegal deals with these managers; because it doesn't make sense to keep given these managers a long contract and sacking them a few months later and compensate them.

What happened to signing them on a 2 year contract and allow them to earn more if they prove themselves to the club? Why don't they run the club like others. Someone must be benefiting from these insane compensations

Should have gone a months it's too late to fix any mess we're into right now ; we left the club in a very bad spot, far worse than he met it. Came as a shock but he deserves it.
