I voted for Manchester City the season before last and then Chelsea last season. What does that tell you about me? 

Tells me that you're loyal only to your local club and a neutral football fan outside your local.  the best I could come up with.

I doubt the sale would have gone ahead unless Alonso sanctioned it. If Alonso did not want him then he should have been sold but if the sale was without his consent, I think it will strain the relationship with the owners before the first match is even played.

That could be the case but I'm speaking from a fan view - the players we've sold are the decent ones any manager would like to work with and I find that strange. I don't think Alonso is the one behind all of this since no one want like to lose some of the best players on the team to other top clubs.

That being said; Alonso has started training sections with the available players.

The fact that Chelsea made the deal for Rogers while Alonso is the manager, is a clear sign of intent that Alonso wants to work with him.

This season I voted for Manchester United based on how the teams ended the previous season.

For me, Liverpool have zero chance of winning the league as their new manager will need time to settle. If Alonso was already at Chelsea last season I would have voted for them. Arsenal will have every team in the league trying to beat them and will find it difficult retaining the title. As for Manchester City, they will find it difficult without Guardiola. There is not much sympathy for them anyway after the tactics Maresca had employed to leave Chelsea (in order to join Manchester City) were exposed.

That left just Manchester United as a viable option to vote for.

I wouldn't say they have 'zero' chance.  I mean Arnie Slott did win the EPL in his first season.  And with Iraola's style of play, I think he's gonna surprise everybody.  High octane football at LFC is back.  Gonna try and watch the whole season just for that.  As long as Liverpool has a chance in winning the EPL, I keep watching.  If not, I just watch the marquee matches.

I won't talk about City but Chelsea self-reported our illegal business to the FA last season and got fined for it. We've made over 100m in player sales this summer so yeah our PRS is healthy and our deals are spread across 6-7 years ( we're not paying 117m to Aston Villa upfront, it'll be spread across 6-7 years). We're likely only going to pay Aston Villa about 20-30m upfront to keep our books.

Liverpool bought 3 players over 100m last season and the FA didn't come for their heads. If your PRS is good and you're spending profits then it's no illegal.

For Enzo Fernandez; it's football and the English fans would get over it

I also thought he was going to Arsenal but then read that Aston Villa had accepted the offer of £117 million. Anderson is not worth £116 million and we can all agree at £117 million, Rogers is definitely overpriced. As this deal occurred while Alonso is the manager, it should be accepted that he wants Rogers to be a big part of his future plans for Chelsea. He is a good player but his consistency can be questioned. Maybe Alonso will help him move to a new level.

You have to put your hope in Andoni Iraola... The first Slot came directly to bring his team to get the Premier League title, the new coach is now again a lot of praise for him.

I don't know how long the transition will be from before him to Iraola, if he can adapt more quickly to the players then it will be good.

New manager, old players leaving and old  Van.D at the back yet again this season; Iraola is fantastic manager but with no big club experience coming into an unstable project it's going to be difficult first season with a lot of ups and down. I'll agree with you on this one and will check the odds if it's worth placing some money on. No top 4

There is no doubt Iraola is a good manager because of he achieved at Bournemouth before arriving at Liverpool. He made a small club very good and on the brink of the Champions League. Now that he has departed, several players have departed and others will try to leave therefore Bournemouth could face problems.

As for Garnacho, there is a lot of talent there but he did not receive any support at Chelsea and his confidence has suffered. I thought a transfer abroad was probably going to help him more than going to Aston Villa but Emery is a brilliant manager, hopefully he will get the best out of Garnacho. Emery already managed Jackson at Villareal therefore the deal might go ahead.

He returned on loan to Aston Villa with the option to buy if he managed to improve his performance, if he failed again then it will return to Chelsea and Chelsea back to chat to other clubs.

Those are really nice figures, I knew Aston Villa and Chelsea were up to something when we paid 117m for Rodgers and the next day they're came for our two rejected players and are willing to pay more than 100m.

You have a brilliant memory. The fact remains Emery brought something to Rashford at Aston Villa but he always had wanted to move to Barcelona therefore Aston Villa was just a temporary move. At least Rashford left for Barcelona on a high note but Sancho, where do we even begin?

As for Garnacho, he was comfortable being around the people he knew at Manchester United but the issue with Amorim led him to believe he was better than he actually was. Emery has confidence in him even though he lost confidence at Chelsea. You could be right, maybe the Premier League is too much for him and he might be happy moving to another league.
