Watching Chelsea lose to a 10- man Totteham is already killing every hope in me; it's a preseason game I know, but how can you lose to a fucking 10- man Spusy team.

They have a good manager in Zerbi; he survived them from relegation last season when all hope was already gone and got rewarded with some good players. My only problem is fitness; availability is ability and that has been the major concern for Totteham over the years - keeping players fit is their weakness.

I heard they sacked some of their doctors and fitness trainers for a more competent ones.

I'll wait till transfer ends before making a higher placement sidebets. Liverpool or Manutd is a 50/50 bet.

I did not know about this. It seems as though Sancho could have been integrated deeply within the Chelsea squad by now and could have been a senior respected member of the squad. If the decision was purely based on him not wanting to take a pay cut, then you have to look at it from his perspective.

Going from £325,000 per week to £100,000 means losing £225,000 per week. Who would want to lose that much money? Sure, he lost the opportunity to start afresh elsewhere and increase his chances of first team football but it is a lot of money to lose too. he knows He will never get another contract that offers him that much money again.

Sancho is one of the most unserious players I've seen in modern football and nothing can convince me to think otherwise. How many bug clubs has he played for? For Devils, then London blue and still can't retain his position as a vital starter in the game?

They knew what he's worth which was not anywhere close to what Manchester United was paying him and btw he's officially a free agent and currently training at Flixton FC after his contract with Manchester United expired last month. No club came for him; a lost investment.

He had a higher ceiling, but talent is not longer enough you have to show some level of hardwork too.

Dortmund?? Start all over again after 5years, when the club already released you permanently into the open market with a bid as high as £73 million? Every parent club expects their players to excel beyond limits. If he dares to return maybe for a 2 year contract, retirement may knock on him too early. Don't you think so?

I made a mistake on the figures, he was offered around 180-200k a week performance based wages -  close to what James earns as the highest paid at the club at that time ( I've not checked our incomings) but he refused and forced us to pay 5m penalty to Manchester United to cancel the " 25m obligation" clause

He needed that pay cut to fit into our new wages structure - Chelsea don't pay excessive salaries anymore. That was a good money tbh.

The money he was offered to earn after signing for Chelsea was good. Considering he was never going to get back to playing for Manchester United, he could have secured first team football at Chelsea. Having said that, I did not see him doing anything spectacular while at Stamford Bridge therefore am baffled why they would offered him a contract.

I think the reports about Brentford and Tottenham being interested in signing him are not accurate. Sancho has not played anywhere near well enough to be considered by a Premier League team. From earning around £325,000 a week for the past five years from Manchester United, he is now earning zero because he has been released by the club. How many more teams will give him a chance to resurrect his career?

Signing two 35+ older retirees in the same summer for a club that needed more reinforcement after missing out of European football last season is depressing as a fan. It doesn't make any sense.

We could argue that Welbeck is the best 30+ old striker in the league currently but what does Henderson brings to the team ? Its pure madness.

Am I the only one who think otherwise? I think they'll be worse then they were last season without Kanote and Salah. Alot could change though if they manage to get their hands on Barcola; not perfect, but a good Salah replacement.

Just like Bournemouth, they're going to play one hell of an attacking football, scoring many goals while also conceding too many of them, and mind you, Iraola-Bournemouth side had some of the best defensive players in the league- defending has always been the weak side of Iraola, and that was Liverpool's biggest weakness last season; I was expecting Liverpool to focus on fixing their backline this summer after spending around 500m to fix their midfield and front last year.

What's going to pair with VD this season? In the PL, a good defensive structure gives you an edge .

For what it's worth, Liverpool's attack will be better than it has been in the previous two seasons.

It's either the president doesn't understand what reinforcement is, or he's about to perform some impossible trick with these junk players. They did everything but sign a young, stronger and potential player as a striker.

That's all I'm here for man...  To watch some good attacking football, not like how Guardiola does it but now Klopp does it.  As I've said before, Guardiola's style of football sometimes becomes a bit stale at times.  But Klopp's way is just so entertaining whether he's winning or whether he's losing.

And just like Klopp, Iraola will evolve too.  Remember, Klopp's tenure at BVB too sucked at defense.  But he evolved in Liverpool.

Yes, he did good considering he only spent 200m+ on defensive assets ( GK included) while Pep spent 500m+ at that time - I'm looking forward to which of the new managers would give Arteta run for title this season. Arsenal is currently the favorite at x5 odds to retain the title.

Many Chelsea fans would accept finishing the season in the top four because they are desperate to play in the Champions League. Hopefully Chelsea will play their fair share of Saturday and Sunday games (as will all of the teams).

After all of the money spent by Tottenham, De Zerbi has to aim for a top four position too but with Arsenal, Manchester City, Manchester United and Liverpool also chasing a top four spot, it will be difficult.
