I don't know why that happened to you country, was that for your whole country? Maybe there was shortage for your areas' fruit, vegetable, meat, and grain products, that is why the price increased dramatically.

In our country, here on our city, some price of food went down, most still stays on their price before the pandemic happened. Don't worry, everything will fine soon.

Good to your country. I think there is only a price increase when there is a food shortage which happened to other countries because of the pandemic.  That was the effect of lockdowns that most company closed and the transportation stop operation.

Well there is a great posibility that the food prices will become double today or maybe in the next few months from now. Because every country has suffering from the covid-19 pandemic and all of the people arround are having a hard time to work because of some health protocol so the food prices is really expected to rise.

Lol your speculation is late because the doubled prices happens when the pandemic is still a hot issue,when the lockdown happens so the abused in price indication happens.

I think the price of food in my country is still stable and even if there is an increase in prices, it will not last long as the government will try to bring it back to normal prices. Moreover, during times of crisis like this there should be no increase in prices for food, even though it becomes scarce but the government should be more siding with the people not to burden them by raising prices.

This is the case with most of the countries. Even in my country (which imports more than 90% of the food), the prices have remained stable. The pandemic didn't had any impact at all on the food production. Obviously there were some obstacles in the movement of goods, but that was resolved in quick time. Also, the governments around the world this time made sure that the food availability remains stable.

It is doubtful this is something that is only happening in the place where he lives, if this was something happening locally then the market forces would have moved food there as fast as they could to sell it for an higher price, this will increase the supply available and eventually reduce the cost of the food on his region.

Most likely this is happening all over his country and it is possible this is happening because the country were the OP lives depends on food imports which were slowed down because of the pandemic and another possible factor is that the governments that exported that food decided to keep it in store in the case they needed it for their own citizens causing a shortage on the countries that depended on that food.

Due to that platns, we can avoid buying pricy foods so we can save our money or use the money to buy other important things that we need. During the Enhanced Community Quarantine period in our area, the Government provide seeds that we can plant so we can plant it then harvest it. It is a very helpful thing especially now that almost everything in the market double its price not only the food.

In my country, most of the foods are still at the same price our government controls the COVID-19 when it occurs.
Anyways many employs become jobless due to the COVID-19, plus many projects get closed which effect on the economy.
Many companies stop supplying food and other stuff which decreases the supply maybe that's the reason why everything becomes more expensive.

yes we experience the same problem what your country facing right now. the food and vegetable is now in a higher value maybe this is the cause of the pandemic because of the raising value of food many people in our country is suffering and dying because of hunger.

When i have time i go to local market to check prices
Vegetable prices doubled
Fruit prices doubled
Meat prices around 30% increase
Grain products around 20% increase

Its not the same way in other countries, but I'm pretty sure its still bad for most of the world still.
And my guess is its inevitable, because global economy is in a really poor state right now because of corona obviously.
Unfortunately,  things only get worse, so we should expect even worse economical state in the future

The price is currently lower than the past month but it still very expensive if we compare it with the early of this year. Our economy will recover but it will never be the same. Price have doubled this year because of this pandemic actually many countries are suffering the failing of the economy. The impact of this pandemic is really huge it hits all people. Thinking up logically as a business owner then you'll surely make advantage of the current situation but you should consider on not raising up too high because it will just make people suffer even more.
Dont be selfish on making your goods too overpriced or else you would face up some problems knowing that theres a Depart of Trade and Industry which do really make control of good's prices.
There might be some increase but wont really be that much.Same goes into my place where everything is rising up but not really on a huge spike but somehow these increases can really be felt
when you are spending even more but you wont have any choice because it is a need for you to survive.

Don't expect the increase in salary because unemployment is at its peak so there is no reason for your salary to be increased,if you are from a country where the unemployment is under control then you can expect such things.In my country people are losing their jobs,business also going down on most sector better we need to survive before expecting the increase in our standard of life.

Many of my colleagues are working with reduced salary. They are saying that taking a pay-cut is much better than going without a job. A few of my friends have lost their jobs, and they are in very bad shape now. On the outside, the economy seems to be recovering, but some of the sectors were very disproportionately affected. I guess I am lucky, because my company hasn't cut any positions till now.
