I personally have never won anything good on Deadwood, but that's probably because I played less than 100 spins on it overall. Almost all of them were losing ones or with a small payout. On MT2, on the other hand, I was winning $24 and $18 from $0.10 bet(my highest wins so far), and was also hitting around 50x from time to time. Deadwood is not for me, because I can't stand not winning anything for a long time.

Most of the time if you really want to see what a real slot is like, and if you will like it or not, drop it to minimum you could gamble and play 10k rounds if you can, obviously sometimes it is too high and you can't play it, but if you can afford to you should do that because under 1k there is no way you could ever understand it, and over 10k you are nearly an expert on it and know every single detail about it, anywhere in between of 1k to 10k is where you go from "finally understand it" to "master" level and many things in between.

I agree, but you don't necessarily need a huge bankroll to understand how a slot works. You can play in demo mode, and, for example, on Deadwood, your initial balance is 10k "EURO", , and you have an option of betting with as little as €0.20, , so you can make a lot of spins, and then see how much your balance changed, one way or the other. You can even buy a bonus game in demo mode(that's my personal favourite). Here's, for example, my total win from a €150 buy:

Overall Im probably break even across all sites that has these 3rd party slots. Probably some small profits like $100ish because few weeks ago I landed 3294x from Chaos Crew slot. You can`t be good or bad at slots - it`s 100% based on luck. The only thing you can be good at is money management and damage control. It`s as simple as that really even though most people have a hard time avoid tilting due to the nature of these games.

Don't tilt and go all in, but control the damage. I would say that in poker damage control is almost as important as winning pots, especially in the late game.

Having the mindset to control damage is what really sets you apart in long poker sessions. Your chances will come to win big pots, but if you tilt out once and go all in and get called, it can be over.

Damage control is hard work if you have to do it for hours or even days in tournaments. Costs a lot of mental energy.

Poker is harder imo, because in poker when I end up with band hands for a very long time and never get a decent hand, like for 20 hands in a row, I end up getting angry and then lose control and end up betting all-in even with my band hands at that point.

There is two things that could happen in that situation, either people will call my bluff and I will lose my money and leave and it is easier to get more comfortable about it at that point because when you are not gambling and when you are done, even if you lost all your money it is easier to get back to normal feelings instead of keep being angry all the time.

Or maybe they will not get my bluff, and I will end up winning some when they fold, which would basically be going back up and trying again which would be basically until I lose it all anyway. This is why I do not play poker as much as I used to.

Honestly it is really difficult to face these type of big wins, so I do not care when it was from, I like to see them and feel that there is a chance one day I may get them as well. Yours sound like a great one as well, I wish I could get stuff like that as well. I can't say when and how I will get anything, but at the end of the day we are all gambling and there is nothing that could be more frustrating than keep losing back to back too many times, these type of wins allow us to keep going some more and be fine with those losses, this is why I would love to get some .

Chips is different, it is like I know that I am gambling and I know that house edge is against me and I know that I will lose in the long run and mathematically there is no way for me to keep profiting forever, eventually house edge will make me lose. That's not how the vault works, it depends on the house profit from the last 24 hours. So the vault can also be negative.
Just read through their faq and it seems to be that they will also list their chips token on some exchanges, interesting!

Then you might enjoy playing low volatility slots like  Aloha! Cluster Pays by Netent  and Rocket Men by Red Tiger(talking about my personal favorites here). I'm using the above mentioned slots to relax from those high volatility monsters in times when I can't hit anything good for a long time. In fact, if you are lucky, you can even hit 200x+ multiplier from time to time on a low volatility slot(happened to me, and not just once).

They might've earned a big profit so they wanted to splurge a little bit more on gambling but you are right that it is puzzling that they spend a lot of money in gambling. Chips is a pretty fairly new site so I think that they will be able to survive for a long time, if they continue improve customer service and their games.
