Any reason why the "moderator" category was discontinued? Maybe I missed it as I haven't been following this thread for some time now.

There are just too many silent Heros on the staff forum that deserves recognitions. Imo.

I understand that but they were once voted for, and it is easy to see which mod(s) are doing a good job by looking at the section(s) they moderate, and we( mods) all know those that go far beyond their primary task to keep the forum clean. We see and know them.

Honouring everyone else but not the moderators who keep the place clean for discussion doesn't feel right to me. 

We don't know genders here but still vote for the Miss category.

This is a somewhat controversial statement, considering you're a moderator but also part of the Stake campaign management team.

In any case, I've anticipated this and clearly outlined which users are best suited for this category.

The award is presented to those who sincerely love their craft, whether it is a professional activity or a hobby.

This award is best suited for the most significant figure among collectors, moderators, businessmen, designers, sports gurus, creators of public initiatives and tools that make the life of the forum brighter.

Besides, it was not for nothing that I nominated Mitchell as a hero of good, as I wanted to emphasize the importance of his work.

No, trust me-  it is not; it is an honest observation/question, and I don't see how being involved in stake management has anything to do with this discussion. I just ask why that category was discontinued because I couldn't find reasons on this thread.

As always, thanks for doing this icopress! It's a monumental task every year, and really brings the community together. I genuinely believe it promotes users to be better, and actually try to contribute to the forum. Also, I'll extend my thanks to those who have contributed in helping in the past also.

Anyone who says they sincerely love the forum and do everything they can to keep it clean will be considered a volunteer. Moderators (I know for a fact) are paid for their work. Therefore, the most sincere moderators, who manage to maintain order not only in their local section but also in several others, are visible even without announcing themselves. They are modest and fulfill their duties 100%. In other words, they do the job they are supposed to or are required to do, right? Do you see the difference between volunteering and a paid position?

Regarding gender, users have the right to see some people as a different gender, especially when they behave in a way that their stated gender does not typically .

Indeed, we have these actors that always act to prompt actions requiring of moderation and has being working in that capacity for a very long time, users you would find mainly on the reputation board and they do a very good job, scavenging the nooks and crannies of the forum for what doesn’t fit or shouldn’t be.

Still, I would say the position of moderators wasn’t pre-bargained for or moved by the incentives offered. Some might even argue they are not being paid what the job demands and are mainly given incentives to encourage them to have volunteered.

Permit me some wokeness here but, on the issue of gender remains a huge debate… perhaps we should have a category for other gender, those that just wouldn’t settle and wants to identify as cats or termites, lol…

Okay. I'm not a native English speaker, so perhaps the first two words would be more appropriate for you, as your patience and ignoring any conflict demonstrate your strength to me. And strong people are often calm. But yeah, your "joke" about enjoying giving merits to someone who's about to be banned (knowing it in advance) doesn't sound like kindness at all.

I've always considered you a person who knows how to joke and has a great sense of humor. After all, in our modern technological world , you can not only have two genders but also pretend to be a cat or a pig.

But you have to try to understand that sitting with children and maintaining a household is not at all easy.
