Have you ever received a call or message from some unknown company, or from someone trying to advertise or sell you a service? That has happened to me, for example, and i don’t even know how they got my phone number or some information about me.I’m saying this because, no matter how much we try to stay anonymous, it’s difficult, since we have surely left personal data somewhere at some point , for a purchase or something else.
With growth of the Internet and with digital crimes, data leaks, such scams are very popular but it's just if you know about that, you are well to avoid them. Because you know well about the scam method, and whatever they are advertising to you in such calls is no longer attractive and important with you. If strangers call you, that should be a cautious alarm for you, and it's more reddish if they ask something related to money from you. If they offer you some too good to be true offers, it's simply another red flag.
Of course, privacy is important, as you said, but it’s hard to stay anonymous anywhere.Everyone here should try to remain anonymous as much as possible, and that’s the only really important thing
Privacy is important, always important, and it's true with everyone. Even people are not aware of privacy importance, it's just what it is and its importance does not change. It's only people's individual responsibility to improve their knowledge by learning more, and defend their privacy better.
I definitely agree, but what if this happens to older people? To someone elderly in our family? We can easily recognize this type of scam, but they can’t. I’m going a bit off topic, but i think it would be good to warn older people and those who aren’t experienced with technology. Because, as you said, offering something that sounds too good to be true is certainly a scam, at least in 90% of cases ...
When it comes to privacy, yes, but some people give away their personal data too easily and follow a kind of personal belief that no one will misuse their information. That’s why it’s better to prevent things in time, because later it might be too late
