What if the original devs are too slow to bring the new client before any other "P2P dice coin" launched?

How about let's setup a donation of 10% Chancecoins to the new developer(s) who can bring us the new "nice and easy to use client" first?

The donation could be setup in the protocol code, it will deduct 10% from every Chancecoin account.  The total donation Chancecoin should be 51482.881397431 CHA ( almost equal to 48 BTC burned ).
Because there will be some people would like to stick with the original devs, and don't like donate for the new developer(s).  So we will fork the Chancecoin and all donators will get 90% of their original CHA and developers get 10% of all donator's CHA.  Those stick with original devs (who didn't donate 10%) will get nothing in the new forked Chancecoin.

If the original devs release the new client before any other devs, then the donation will goto the original devs.

We haven't even started making money and people are full of ideas about how to create more work for others.

And as if that wasn't enough, they want to tax us.

That's about everything I'm trying to escape from in the real world.

We printed some business cards. If you are going to a Bitcoin/altcoin meetup, conference, or similar event and would like some to hand out, let me know.

i open the gui.exe, but can't access my wallet tab.

i'm on windows 8

have bitcoin core 64 bit 0.9.1 running

have you put

txindex=1
into the bitcoin.conf?

Try using the bitcoindeamon instead of QT

nah i took that out cause it asked to reindex blocks... which will take an eternity.

so txindex=1 is necessary?
Any other way?
reindex is necessary.

Once the new client is out, it will not be necessary any more! (sunday hopefully)

so i reindexed, and still cant access wallet tab...

- run %appdata%

- go to  "appdata -> roaming" folder

- make sure chancecoin.conf and bitcoin.conf have matching users & passwords:

bitcoin.conf:

Code:
rpcuser=rpc69
rpcpassword=password69
server=1
daemon=1
txindex=1

chancecoin.conf:

Code:
[Default]
bitcoind-rpc-connect=127.0.0.1
bitcoind-rpc-port=8332
bitcoind-rpc-user=rpc69
bitcoind-rpc-password=password69

Then try completely shutting down bitcoin-qt and chancecoin client.

- run bitcoin-qt.exe as administrator and wait for it to fully synch

- then run chancecoin gui.exe as administrator and wait for it to fully synch

It's a bit finicky at times.  Could try to restart your computer, run bitcoin-qt.exe as admin, wait for it to fully synch, then run chancecoin gui.exe as admin

finally it works!

I think it took a while to load/install some stuff and didn't give any signs it was loading

Thanks for the help
