How are 1) what people bet on 2) what the stakes are
determined with this coin? Basically, how does the decentralised gambling actually work?

from a non-technical point of view it's actually very simple: people make a bet, putting in their desired stake and winning probability, the system determines if the gambler won or lost via new york lottery drawing and he or she gets his coins or loses them. if he wins new coins are created, if he loses his stake is destroyed, which levels out on a long-term time scale.

So people are betting only on ny lottery drawings? Just wondering what some examples look like.

I'm curious about this too. the lottery drawings are just an input for randomness. example: i choose 50% probability and i bet 100 cha. i win, i get 200 cha. (disregarding house edge). it's really not that complicated to understand (as a concept at least, i guess technically it's a very challenging thing to develop) can somebody elaborate on this? profit should be negative, right? or is this the house edge profit?

It is from the viewpoint of the house. If you bet any amount the house stands to win the house edge on average. The house won more than expected currently

Please Give some suggestions about the new betting and gambling functions added to CHA!!!
From magician:
Venetian and I are going to have a discussion about what games and betting functionality to add next, based on all the feedback we've received. what's your favorite method of sports betting? what existing site is a good example of the style of betting Chancecoin should implement? and for regular casino games (blackjack, roulette, pai gow, poker, etc.), which ones do you think are most important to implement? I g2g, but if you guys get a chance to answer those questions, I'll check the responses later.

Football gambling first please! I Agree - 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil start June 12! If chancecoin will have an easy client this will be amazing opportunity other from that poker is the most popular game and I personally also like blackjack (will probably be easier to implement) (p.s: mightname where did magician say this? it's not here and not in the chancecoin chat).

To Chinese users:issues in CHA wallet related to the internet ban in China on bitcoin
I find almost all issues in CHA wallet are related to the internet ban in China on bitcoin.Such as btc balance no show,500 Internal Error, and even the following sync issue: Sometimes when the sync loading has not finished, namely the cha block number is not equal to the btc block number, the loading interface will disappear and directly enter the chancecoin wallet interface.
Using VPN can solve these problems. How to solve the problem thoroughly and the final solution to bypass the some internet ban in China on bitcoin?
Many Chinese people meet the internet ban issue. Need solve the problem thoroughly.
After using VPN, CHA wallet can be used normally to Chinese users. To Chinese people, suggest using this VPN http://www.hibay.net/sign/sign_in使用VPN后,CHA钱包使用一切正常!对于中国用户,建议使用海贝VPN,注册邮箱可以免费使用1小时,不断注册可以不断免费使用,如果觉得麻烦就缴费,很便宜的。 网址: http://www.hibay.net/sign/sign_inThis is helpful. The VPN is free for 1 hour and 18 CNY for one month. I am currently using this VPN to download the wallet. So far so good.

Great idea, they should be a big buzz for chancecoin ! A gambling application with "bet" like NXT asset, who any body can create a bet. ( http://www.bitcoinlivebets.com/index.php?action=wetten&u=liga&id=9452) But who can chose the result of the bet ? A bot, or an admin ? Bet like this can't be automatic. And a new logo

In terms of betting/gambling apps on top of cha I'd recommend a step by step approach:
Step 1: popular games that can be constructed by "rolling dice", i.e. roulette. This could be done very quickly with minimal development effort. Step 2: multiplayer games, simply in order of popularity/usage Step 3: sports betting via decentralised system that determines the odds

Everyone is talking about betting sport but this cannot be decentralized.

Everyone is talking about betting sport but this cannot be decentralized. why not? it's basically an exchange with prices that determine the odds. house edge could be easily implemented, hardcoding of the results shouldn't be extremely difficult. or am i missing something?
