We have different reasons why most of us often lose in sports betting but I think one thing that will help us to win is to get to know more about the sports or the team you are planning to make bet on so that you can analyze further before betting. But if you are continuously losing, It's not about the sports anymore, it's more about how you manage your money in betting. It's a big factor to monitor your money like how much you are already spending or losing to avoid further losses.

One reason I see is because we think that we know a certain game so much that we even bet on tier 2> teams with little to no performance consistency. I am guilty of this, especially in esports betting because I mostly base my bets with the most recent matches of teams that are participating. That's where I usually draw my reasoning over which side I should pick and consider the safest, only to end up losing the bet and trying to do the same thing over and over again.

Most of us try to gain so much profits in so little time that we end up visiting markets and events that are way beyond our understanding, which ends us as losers ultimately. You can tie bankroll management with this as well, as you are putting more money into more useless, shaky events instead of betting consistently on events that you are more familiar with.

I'm winning some bets and losing others, but mostly losing on average, even though not by a high margin. I think that it's at least partially related to the fact that I'm not a pro in sports. However, I've seen people who seem good at sports, but often have these losing streaks (but maybe their overall balance is actually positive, I don't know), so I'm not sure that's it. I guess one is almost bound to lose because there are many unpredictable outcomes in sports. But I also think that if a person really knows the sport and also has betting skills and strategies, it's possible to win more often than lose, thus earning money this way.

Sports betting also requires a bit of research, not to the techniques but to the team or player you are eyeing into. Basically they are conducting trainings, and their match history is also available for you to research. Every game has different mechanics and from that, you can extract the advantage of the players against each other, the same way as their cons. Basically what caused gambler lost of money during gambling is the lack of management. Most gamblers careless about what they are winning or losing, sometimes when we win we tend to continue the games until we loss everything again which bring us back to step one. If we gamble with the mindset of management of funds then losing money won't be a bad type.

Gambling is not about management at all, it is about mindset and mentality, no matter how someone knows how to plan very well, if he is addicted to gambling, he will lose the more. The betting sites are not for frequent use, only for money we can afford to lose. Assuming, I am collecting $500 monthly, if I want to bet, all my betting funds will not be more than $25. With this, I am not addicted, anyone can be lucky in gambling.

For starters sports is not a guaranteed thing, it is based on people and not technology, when you gamble on a dice game with 99% win possibility you know that 99 times out of 100 you will win, and even though it is "technically" possible to lose 100 times out of 100 times with a 99% chance of winning, that is probably lesser chance of happening than getting hit by lightning 100 times back to back.

However sports is not like that, when you gamble on a sports game you end up gambling on something depending on a human and from emotions to mood to fatigue to basically everything could affect something. So, one day an amazingly good team could play a relegation level team but the amazing team could have a bad news or a fight or a drama and could end up losing very easily.

Comparing of percentage of losers to those who do gamble with sports betting than to those who do play with luck based games is much more lesser.Well, losing is inevitable but all
will vary on how you do deal with sports you've betting on.We know that this do require sufficient knowledge plus having the skills on making up decision then it is something
where people can really have the edge on.If you do find yourself in the losing side then why not try to make up some shift when it comes to your predictions?

Honestly, I feel you, bro.  
I have been losing a lot in basketball sports betting but thankfully, I also got lucky with some of my bets.
x18, x4, x5 odds. I take some of those bets just to equal the losses that I made.

That is just my strategy and nothing more.
Just look at the stats history of players and put an impossible bet sometimes.
If it wins, great. If it loses then come back next time.
Somehow, it works for me.

Maybe you are betting on the games on which you are not sure about the results of them so you are losing more than you win and also people bet on their favorite team all the time but it doesn't mean our favorite team will win all the times so we have to bet on the better team not on our favorite team.

Gamblers will lose more instead of gaining because they are trying so hard to win despite of the lose streaks they had. Instead of earning money, they lose more. This is the main reason for me that's why I don't play gambling most of the time because I am afraid to be an addict. Once your an addict already you can't get enough to play as long as you aren't winning.

I have different perspective.
IMO, people loves sports betting because they love that kind of sports.

For example, me.
I love football, so I bet on football matches.
Sports betting outcomes is depend on the match, not a computer calculation.
We need to analyze it, or sometime we just bet on our favorite team because you have emotional engagement with that team even we know that they are not performing good at that time.

As a football lover, sometime our ego drive us badly.
We think we know better, can analyze better, and over believe in our favorite team.
That’s not good.

One of the ways to minimize loss is just conceiving the idea that you already have @OP and that is, being an ordinary gambler and not to take the gambling to heart or as a must win thing. It's very important and not the odds or games you bet on. To a far extent, it controls how frequent you visit bet platforms and wlonce that is in check, it means your betting habit is at a minimal and so does your loss.
So, it not all about having high or low stakes or the leagues or pattern your bet assumes but how frequent you rush to go and lose matters as well in a way to checkmate loss.

Well losing is part of gambling, we can't just win every time. If someone is winning, then definitely someone is losing and the houses are just making from edges. But there are some factors which might contribute in either winning or losing in a game that you should look for, maybe money management? are you a greedy type of bettor? high roller? that kind of stuff. The reason why we lose depends on each gambler.

-There are people who lose because they just following tips to others.
-There are also gamblers who like to just bet on high odds expecting big in return. And there are gamblers that don't have patience so instead of betting in moderation, they gambled at several bets in a day.
-Upset happened at sports most of the time
-Even with knowledge, it's still hard to make an analysis.
