Why most of us are losing money in sports betting?

I believe that most of us are losing money in sports betting, but I'd like to know based on what you read and your experience (if you have) the reasons why we are losing. Personally, I've been gambling for years, I'm just an ordinary gambler who can't be too serious with gambling, but I can't deny that I have been losing money more than I win.

I lose sometimes but mostly i may say winning is what i got from sportsbetting.

First - I make sure to Know the game i will bet on.

Second - I must Know the Team and the players

Third - I must Also know their Opponents


With these knowledge i am in advantage of winning the bet i made but of course nothing is permanent and i may lose or win depend of course in luck

The reason most people lose money on sports betting is because they have no knowledge of gambling in greed they jump to make more profit then they lose more and lose everything in case of betting you have to have a good idea about the game even if it depends on your luck. Gambling is quite reasonable you have very little chance of winning in the long run because gaming companies keep their margins gradually you have to master its techniques and move forward.

If you are just betting without knowing the players then there is high chances of loosing your money.

Don't just bet for the players you like make sure you know and have idea how they play the game that's the main reason why many people lost in betting sports because they only bet in random team.

You should stop gambling and only bet with little amount or what you can afford to lose/risk. 
You should learn how to bet profitably and responsibly. If you're betting based on luck then bet only with little/small amount once or occasionally. You should have the skills and be consistently profitable before you can start betting consistently and with higher amounts.

It's true I don't know the exact figure but also based on my experience and of my friends we are losing more than what we are winning

It's part of the game even if you dig deep it's hard to give the best reason, On horse racing whom I consider sports betting I lose a lot when I know that I have the best bets

Forget your losses and winnings make every betting day a new one, and only bet what you can afford to lose, it's been said a thousand times before and it always ended up true

I'm very successful when it comes to football gambling I'm not saying I'm rich but I've been able to reduce my losses with my little techniques of a little odd, big stake. It pays with time you only need to be consistent enough.

I think you are making a good analysis when you are playing sports betting in a game of football, that is why it is pretty unusual for you to lose and reduce your losses in every bet.

The only time you decide to stop gambling was when you experienced a massive amount of losses that make you have financial difficulties, reduce work, etc. Gambling is definitely based on your luck, whether it is a high or low bet, so you could win. But for me, as long as you enjoy playing sports betting or other gambling games and don't encounter any side effects because you only gamble for fun and entertainment, it is okay to play gambling for a while just don't aim too much for profits.

gambling isnt about memorizing to be profitable but being responsible in gambling is a sure thing that can be done by any gambler . i was once an adict but i said to my self that im stronger than my mind . our minds cant control us or dictate our life but we can get out on an unhealthy habit .

Many of my friends who did football betting since universities are still doing so today. We all try to follow the rules to only bet on games where we think we have an edge. It's hard to know for sure if any of them lost a lot of money. But we tend to bet on similar matches and for me, I didn't lose money. I also didn't win large amounts of money but a few beers I could always buy from my winnings. In my opinion sports betting is a zero sum game, for every loser there needs to be a winner. Sure the bookmaker takes his cut but that is only marginal compared to the size of the market.

The only advice I can give is once you won don't try to enjoy those winning and don't be greedy since once you win I am sure that you still wanted win more isn't well in fact that is not good and might ended up losing and once you lose you will be thinking of recovering those losses and might lose more.

Your advice is truly appreciated mate,  the winning will always come once in a while and we shouldn't take this forever becasue 'gambling is all about luck' of a thing. The problem with gamblers is, most of them don't know when to pullback during their loss and their mindsets been wired to chase over their losses get them into deep mess. Personally, greediness is my weakest point in betting and hope to manage this from now.

Not only in sports betting but also in all gambling sites gamblers always lose more than win. Only very few gamblers win with their experience, talent, and strategy. In my opinion, most gamblers lose their bankroll only because they can't control their emotions, and when they feel they want more and more. Suppose one will deposit some money, after playing some round they will win double or more. Still, they keep playing to win more. Thus they start to lose the winning money. then want to recover the lost money with high bets. Again lose, then start to lose the deposited money. They feel they have to recover the money in anyways. I think what causes us to lose money when betting on sports is gambling addiction, betting with our heart (choosing our favorite team), and have no luck. Many bettors who becoming gambling addicts usually can't control their emotions, so they won't know when it's time to quit when they have won and they will even tend to chase losses without considering the risks.

We shouldn't bet with our hearts because the results may not be what we expected, since our favorite team will not always come out as winners. So for a greater chance of winning, we must rely on the mind decision-making based on odds analysis, and betting predictions.

Sports betting, is not where you play personally, but putting your bet to someone else's game where you put your trust into. Yup, it is difficult to accept losses, but as we win, we feel like we really win the game itself. But the thing about sports betting is that you have this kind of trust within the team you support, you feel them, you understand them, and you personally put your faith in them, so it is the fun behind it.

Personally, My bet goes into the team I truly support, not the one I feel like winning, and that maybe is the reason why I'm losing. I think it is not in sport betting only, many users/gambler here has lost their money comparing to getting money in any gambling place. Like me, I've been playing gambling dice for years ago, although I've known the rule and have many experience at the gambling place I have more losses instead of I getting win.

Don't know what the problem is but in my experience it maybe I have no strategy to manage my greedy. I can't stop my games when I've got some wins and also I do another deposit when I got loss because I'm always curious to give back what I put out. It can be happen in sport betting, although he knows the ability the team that he chooses but they can manage another factor that will be faced.

let the banter go. I will tell you about my humble experience (I am a novice, I am only in sports betting for 1 year and 2 months):

At the beginning I did the following:

I went to the premier league and chose all the games and analyzed them based on what I learned on youtube and google, and when the round ended I lost more than I won... I did the same thing for the Spanish league, German and Italian and Portuguese. in the end I only accumulated losses!

Well, until one day I thought:

Why don't I just choose the team games that I like and know? and tested it and the results were good.

I doubt it is only game of analyzing which everybody believe is so helpful but do ypu know that all the stats sometimes will only makes you confused once you have read it all but the outcome often fails.
At that moment you may will think "this is bullshit" and since the beginning it is always about luck.
The stats makes you confident to bet but everything messed up by the end of the day.
Dont gamble to make a living , that is something will only makes you burned down into dust.

I don't know about others, but I lose because I wish too much with my combinations! I mostly win when I make single bets, but it's like not enough profit, so I make come crazy combo with 5+ games and a bit higher odds. Of course, I don't bet with high amounts on single games, I never bet more on sports with more than $10. And just to add that I have more hits when I bet on goals than on winners and draws. Well for me it's fun to make some sports bets here and there, and I never win anything big, but I haven't lost much. I enjoy to make bets on soccer games I like to watch with friends, and when there are some big games, so it's not like I am betting on sports every day!

I don't remember whether I won or lost more but when I made soccer bet I rarely only place 1 bet, usually I will place 3 or 4 bets, so the possibility of losing money is very small, at least you can return on your bet fund.
