It all depends on how bitcoin/crypto do in terms of adoption in the coming years, gambling like every other business will go after money and if these real life casinos see there are enough demand for using bitcoin as an asset to bet on different games you can be sure they will do it

And the only thing that could stand in their way is if their governments prevent them from doing so which I don't think in many countries that would be an issue since many of them already have taxation laws for using and spending crypto, so just follow the news about bitcoin adoption and of course the price which could be an indication of more adoption and given enough time it would be a norm to see real life physical casinos accept bitcoin as well.

I don't think that it will took a long time for this thing to happen. We already have a online casinos where we can use bitcoin so if that online casino managed to have a physical branch then it will surely be able to use bitcoin but it also needs to consider where will they build a physical branch because they need to follow the rules and regulations of that country about bitcoin. We can also wait for the mass adoption to occur because if mass adoption occurs, all fee can be paid with bitcoin.

Online casinos are mostly decentralized, although some are Centralised and most are real time-based casinos, not really crypto online gambling casinos so maybe there's a difference. Those gambling platforms are centralised under government's so their existence somehow makes an excuse. And since cryptos are also mostly decentralized, it's adoption to centralised establishments are still sketchy at this moment unless regulation will take place, which is more likely to occur in the future.

Though casinos accept many currencies for giving you chips to play in the casino. Accepting bitcoin won't be an easy task. The main problem would be the legal issues. The price of bitcoin is volatile and their transaction takes time. And every legal casino needs to pay a hefty tax on operating the casino and with bitcoin, their receipt won't be totally transparent, not only could they fake the amount involved but there would be remarks on the exchange price due to volatility.

I'm not saying it will take a long time but wouldn't happen that soon either, your expectations should be reasonable, still most people and even most gamblers that play in real physical casinos don't know anything about crypto and even some of those that do just assume it's scam and don't pay much attention to it, let alone buy them and use them to bet instead of their national currency, online casinos that you mentioned are totally another story and usually people that spend a decent amount of time online are aware of them and are more willing to give new technologies a try and are more informed in these kind of things over all.

I don't think it will take much longer because after all, Bitcoin is readily being accepted world wide and many retailers are also accepting it. Even PayPal is going to accept this and I'm sure casinos offline will not let go of the opportunity for customers to play with bitcoins! This is soon to turn into reality!

Volatility has been the main issue why physical casinos can't fully integrate Cryptocurrency to their system, and physical casinos are profit oriented they always want to see if Cryptocurrency will not cause them to pay more and they will not want to receive less than what the fist is offering, there should be a feasibility study on this.

That would be great. It is like a cashless online gambling it's like you will just going to scan to deposit and the fund will be transferred to the machine. I'm not quite sure how they will going to implement it but that would be great.

It will not be an issue if they accept it since they can handle the volume even if the bitcoin movement is not so stable and also they can also add more options to minimize such losses in value if many would want a stable coin to be added. If you look on the long time existing casino here where they didn't collapsed when the value falls down in the last few years and they manage to survive as well they earn with the current volatility of the market and I'm sure it will go the same to the physical casino if they want to try to go online.

why so excited? Do you have lots of BTC? Well I can also say that betting with BTC is good to.keep yourself from being private especially when you like to bet huge. Most likely spectators are always fan of watching gamblers with huge bet. That usually happens in the casino and a gambler may not able to concentrate on betting. And with bitcoin I think everything will be possible and with optimum comfort when betting to a casino wanting to get privacy.

What do you think?

at some point people will be able to walk in a casino and just bet on slot machines with bitcoin?
or play poker using crypto, but irl?

do you think it will become a mass adoption currency or it'll keep as it is on online websites only?

of course some merchants and places already adopt crypto and BTC as a way of payment, but curious here:
how long you think it'll take to reach the point where we can bet in real life places with bitcoin?

In my own assessment, as far as I know there are some land based casino now accepting bitcoin actually, and also a lot
of merchants as well all over the world now also adopted Bitcoin a mode of payment to their business as well. So, I think that is
possible to be happen in the near future dude, but if course let see due to we still don't know what will happen tomorrow anyway.

There have been casinos accepting bitcoin already. However, they only let you to buy chip with bitcoin.

I would rather use cash in real-life casinos than bitcoin. First, I find that fiat is absolutely more convenient than bitcoin in real life casino. And the feeling of holding money while you walk in a casino makes me exciting. I will definitely bring a lot of cash if I ever have a chance to visit Las Vegas in the future

Second, blockchain network congestion can happen anytime. You can not avoid it. Paying a higher fee might be a solution but it will give me a bad experience with bitcoin gambling. Credit cards, on the other hand, are faster and more suitable for this situation. They have interacted with casinos for many years and you will have many advantages from them

It is hard to predict the time where mass adoption of bitcoin in physical casinos. Right now, there are many resistance blocking us from achieving this goal. However, Im still find with gambling on the Internet

Using bitcoin to bet in physical casinos may come first prior to global adoption, and because of this pandemic, it may be sooner than what we are expecting due to the positive approach of people to bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.

AFAIK there is still no casino that accepts bitcoins as a form of bet as of this moment but rests assured in the future it can be used as a wager since physical casinos have the system or technology that can be used for conversion and it may speed up the process for a player in placing their bets. Asking for the exact date when it will be, no one can provide it since we are still in the process of adoption.

We will probably see more physical casinos accepting bitcoin in the near future. Bitcoin is still in the phase of getting more recognition, and some businesses are already starting to accept bitcoin so some casinos will probably accept it as well. Casino operators also need to consider if there's a lot of demand and they should also know or understand how the market works so they can't just accept it immediately, it takes some time.

There are already physical casinos that accepts Bitcoin ex. Las Vegas https://www.gamblingsites.com/blog/vegas-casinos-accept-bitcoin-64554/

Some people missed this comment! They give their prediction just to write something...
~

Yeah, but, in fact, the casinos from the article don't allow you to play with BTC. They accept BTC as payment for various services, and they do have Bitcoin ATMs on site, but you can't gamble directly with Bitcoin there.

Regarding the OP's question, it is possible that physical casinos will cease to exist soon because of the pandemic, so their accepting Bitcoin or not, will be irrelevant. It looks like everything will be going online more and more in the near future, and even after Corona will be taken care of, the re-opening will hardly start happening, because of the fear of another pandemic.

Hey Betwrong, let's make a little discussion here... Smiley Now you missed the part of my comment where I said that you have crypto casinos (roobet and betnomi) where you don't play directly with bitcoins?! Isn't that the same case? Casinos have obligations and regulations depending on where they operate, simply in Vegas you can buy chips in the casino and to gamble with chips (at least I imagine it like that, I never been there Smiley), and maybe you can even cash out in bitcoin?! Maybe someone can clear this up for us?!
Anyway what's the difference between above mentioned casinos, and any casino in Vegas? Where you deposit bitcoin that are exchanged for dollars and you play with dollars?

I don't see it happening soon, there are many issues that we still need to tackle, like volatility, the number one hindrance in Cryptocurrency adoption in so many sectors, the scalability is another issues, the casinos will think twice if you have to wait for hours to get your confirmation.

I think this question is kind of the same as if we think bitcoin or some other form of cryptocurrency will one day be mass-adopted and used as an everyday currency.  I believe we will get there. From PayPal adding bitcoin and a couple other cryptocurrency's to China issuing their own "cryptocurrency" , it's inevitable this is the way of the future.

I think in areas where gambling is legal as well as bitcoin, I believe casino or physical gambling has accepted bitcoin. In addition, the development into the era of digitalization is getting higher so I think online gambling will continue to get enthusiasts, so in this case alone I think gamblers are comfortable when gambling online. But indeed, physical gambling has a different appeal because it is more crowded and exciting, so if bitcoin is already legal then it is very possible for bitcoin to be accepted at casinos in the region.

That means a lot of work for casinos if they really want to implement it.
Would they even care if chips could work? Also, avoiding bad events like cheating or whatever evil doers do.  Grin

Efforts like.
This QR code =  betting 10 USD = X amount of bitcoin.
Below that is another QR code for betting 20 USD = X amount of bitcoin.
Then, it should be updated with how much the rate is to avoid loss.

Nah, I doubt they will input that kind of service. Volatility is the wall up until now.

I think this question is kind of the same as if we think bitcoin or some other form of cryptocurrency will one day be mass-adopted and used as an everyday currency.  I believe we will get there. From PayPal adding bitcoin and a couple other cryptocurrency's to China issuing their own "cryptocurrency" , it's inevitable this is the way of the future.

yes, it's not even a matter of IF anymore, but when.
just a matter of time.

with Paypal adoption this may become much easier, even though quite costly because of their huge taxes.

but if it's in a physical place just implementing a QR code wallet with a cashier calculating the cost or a screen updating it real time from CMC, may not be that hard for the programmers.
