It will be a good move for Bitcoin when the service will live for all the casinos. The participants will be increased I believe. Casino will arrange Bitcoin ATM system then the transaction will be smooth. I prefer to use Btc rather than other currency. If there has already then it can be followed by others.

I'm not sure if that gonna be happening because most casinos are using chips instead of having fiat on the table, the same thing we do with Bitcoin for gambling. It is not important if we gamble with real Bitcoin or not, it is all about security, and casinos implied such a thing for the benefits of the gambler unless if it is allowed to use real money.

However, Bitcoin hasn't printed just like fiat money, and even we like to use it in gambling offline with real Bitcoin but that seems impossible if we don't have any of them.

Betting on bitcoin in real life casinos will increase the demand for bitcoin but it is almost impossible because there are no opportunities to use bitcoin directly in casinos all over the world this is possible in the case of currency or fiat currency. Most gamblers feel comfortable playing with cash it's not a big deal to bet with any currency you have to decide how to play if you have good skills about gambling you can make a profit whether you play with fiat or bitcoin research the sites before participating.

Maybe the casino needs to prepare many things before using bitcoin as the payment system or using bitcoin to place the bets, including asking permission from the government to use bitcoin. The government regulation will be created related to bitcoin or altcoin in the casino, so the casino can use it without worry if they will break the regulations.

If the Bitcoin ATM is available on the casino, it will help the gambler convert their fiat money into bitcoin, and they can send it into their account. But I wonder how it can be applied in the offline casino since the casino uses a coin to place the bet.

It might be close, you never know right?

Since Paypal accepted Bitcoin, I think there are a lot of stores or platforms that are influenced or thinking of accepting it. Casinos might be included at that since physical cash is quite concerning this time of pandemic. I think 2 or 3 years, there will be a lot of landbased casinos accepting cryptocurrencies, the same with other platforms.

Betting BTC online to a real-life casino seem a good way to finally stay away from BTC grabbing crypto casino. A real-life casino seems a fairer place to play.

Do you guys think there will be a real life casino that will release chips with 1 satoshi on it? It might just be a good promo for this traditional casino.

Hey Betwrong, let's make a little discussion here... Smiley

Hey, @iv4n! Let's do it. Smiley

Now you missed the part of my comment where I said that you have crypto casinos (roobet and betnomi) where you don't play directly with bitcoins?! Isn't that the same case? Casinos have obligations and regulations depending on where they operate, simply in Vegas you can buy chips in the casino and to gamble with chips (at least I imagine it like that, I never been there Smiley), and maybe you can even cash out in bitcoin?! Maybe someone can clear this up for us?!
Anyway what's the difference between above mentioned casinos, and any casino in Vegas? Where you deposit bitcoin that are exchanged for dollars and you play with dollars?

No, I didn't miss that part of your comment. I just think that roobet and betnomi are state-of-the-art companies, possessing progressive thinking, and that's why it is easy to deposit BTC to their sites, and immediately start playing with fiat, as if it were fiat that you deposited. And, yeah, you surely can cash out in BTC there. The difference between them and some Vegas casinos, where you can use ATM(be prepared for very disadvantageous rate) for exchanging BTC to fiat, and only then buy casino chips with fiat, is like the difference between those who are moving forward into the future and those who stuck in the past.

I don't see any significance and big chances if ever physical casinos will consider adding bitcoin payment.

There should be a designated bitcoin physical casino meant rather an integration with phyiscal casino. But if such case that isn't possible, the best and convenient way could be bitcoin should be consider used on physical casino's designated online website casino.
Actually with the news of PayPal accepting bitcoins and such things happening there is a decent chance that in coming years the real casinos that accept online payments might actually accept bitcoins for playing. There is no real way to do it right now because we are still in baby steps and to think of walking into a casino and paying with BTC is still a day dream.

Volatility, confirmation time and fees are three of the issues that needs to address first if casinos will accept Bitcoin as one of their option, unless these three issues are addressed I don't think the casinos will integrate it, but we never know three years from now if they will have a system that will fix all these issues.
How about if PayPal allows users to send and receive bitcoins? I mean that can solve the problem to a large extent because the transaction then happens only virtually not really and you can load funds earlier and then you can spend like a king as you do with USD when you load them into your account on Paypal.

I've seen a couple of casinos (news about it, at least), that allowed cashless payments recently. So at least the move towards digital payments is happening due to the pandemic. However, I believe these did not accept cryptocurrencies, it was about fiat in digital form, so I am not sure this move towards digitalization is helping Bitcoin adoption.
Some people pointed on in the thread that there are already physical casinos that accept Bitcoin, but I'm wondering if there's an upward trend in casinos adopting Bitcoin during the pandemic or not. In any case, I don't understand why people choose land-based casinos when they can gamble safely from home, so maybe the trend will be land-based casinos going away rather than accepting Bitcoin.

how long you think it'll take to reach the point where we can bet in real life places with bitcoin?

I don't see any significance and big chances if ever physical casinos will consider adding bitcoin payment.
Of course there is significance and chances,But first Casino operators must see the desire and volume of those gamblers that wanted to have this one, because if the demand is little then maybe this will take another long years to happen.

actually what only needs to have is that Casino houses will at least create a machinery that can read our wallet to be used in Physical casino?something like swiping machine or scanning machines?

I don't think that specific issue that you mentioned is going to be a problem at all, in real casinos you pay them fiat and get chips in return and you could do the same thing with bitcoin and I don't see any problem here at all.

You just send bitcoin to their address and you will get chips in return and after you're done with gambling and you want to leave then you just give them your chips and they can just easily send you the equivalent of your chips value in Bitcoin, some basic things should change in regards of payment and how casino cashier works but that's about it and it can be easily implemented.

Nah that is not the point about OP,that your crypto will be in exchange to Casino crips, instead it is literal Betting using our crypto so it means there must be a specially created machine to read the wallet address maybe?

If that is the case,i believe that there are already same thing happening in Las vegas if i am not mistaken,(correct me if i'm wrong) and also there are many Bitcoin ATM machine around that area so there is no need for Fiat.

To be honest with you, I don't really want to sound pessimistic and all, but what you are wishing for will take a long time to happen and it will take lots of changes in the gambling industry for it to be fulfilled. I mean you are talking about bitcoin being used in physical casinos and not just online casinos but physical ones with buildings and all. I don't think the owners of these casinos would be ready for that. Need some additional stuff to make it happen like computer experts and others. Too early to adopt I should say.

In my country all the casino are closed at the moment. They will likely open next year again if the lockdown is being continued. So far the gamblers still need to pay with FIAT currency, you can pay with a master or visa card, so no need to bring cash. But unfortunately no crypto currencies are allowed. In my opinion this year pandemic changed the landscape a lot. Many new online casinos came out and a lot of people switched from the physical casinos to online casinos. If the physical casinos want to retake their market share after the lockdown they should accept crypto currencies.

Well, I guess we can say that they have their reason why they are not accepting bitcoin. If there are a lot of gamblers in their casino that wanted to use crypto currency or just bitcoin, they would ask or maybe consider accepting it. I think they are not actually competing with the online casinos since it is already popular before this pandemic, it is just exploded in this pandemic since most of us are scared to go outside.

It is not that easy to retake their market share, especially in this situation. They'll accept what they are getting and they can't do anything about it since we have a pandemic.

Bitcoin already have it's identity and have it's value.

Same thing with what you have said, you can buy chips using bitcoin and recieve it with the current value in fiat. I aslo don't see any problem with that, if land base casino implement options for bitcoin  payment then it will proceed. It's a matter of understanding, after
that adoption will take place.

It is like with centralised digital currencies. Some casinos are allowing the use of digital currencies as deposits to the chips perhaps, so probably same thing would happen to Bitcoin and other cryptos if that so. It is indeed a good idea but how will regulation take place? Taxation and such as well as rates of exchange in those casinos? there are many factors to consider and I see this as something futuristic regarding this industry. At this moment, I don't know if there are existing real time casinos accepting cryptos as mode of payment. Even on services; mostly are not into adoption of this technology, further development might also work with this case.

What do you think?

at some point people will be able to walk in a casino and just bet on slot machines with bitcoin?
or play poker using crypto, but irl?

do you think it will become a mass adoption currency or it'll keep as it is on online websites only?

of course some merchants and places already adopt crypto and BTC as a way of payment, but curious here:
how long you think it'll take to reach the point where we can bet in real life places with bitcoin?
Elwar said there will be casinos on his boat, so since everything will be payable in Bitcoin and altcoins on his boat, I assume casinos games will be also available with cryptos.

I think Bitcoin only fits for online casinos not unless if you cash-in it for casino chips. I don’t think that real Casino gamblers will adopt Bitcoin in their gambling lifestyle due to its volatility and they might prefer to use fiat because its more stable or stable coin will do too.
