There is no project that will be the same, we can say that it will be better or worse, we must keep in mind that each project has an objective and solution in the technical system and for society. So I don't see any project that could be the new Ethrereum. Ultimately, Ethereum solved a technical creation problem by helping new creators to develop and raise funds for their specific projects, strengthening the crypto market and economy.

No coin can replace eth. In cryptocurrency, eth is called mother. The location of eth all the time after bitcoin. The new Solona Blockchain will be used in the future as almost all projects are currently working using the eth blockchain. The concept of many projects is good but it will not be easy to go to the location of eth.

this is a question that still has no answer to date. however, ethereum's current potential is too great to beat. Many altcoins have great potential such as BNB, or XRP, but have not been able to beat ethereum to date. well, we know that in the crypto world any opportunity can happen. So sorry to say but this project is a scam project. they conducted an Bounty here but failed to keep up the work, after which they dissappear and there was no update on their telegram, twitter and other social media link. please do your research properly before investing or joining any project. their whitepaper is totally hogwash and unachiveable.

check out this tokens. i believe they are strong competitors of ethereum in smart contract. Elrond, Avalanche, serum, Matic, TRON is another top smart contract project that is working hard to replace ethereum but it is monopolized by the owner. there are also other projects. Terra money is also good. we use to have OMNI but they failed behind.

Another coin will not be able to become the next Ethereum, because in this case nothing can shift Ethereum's position in CMC, it means that another coin will not be the next Ethereum. On a serious note, I have always said that ethereum will retain its position and value no matter how good blockchain network comes forward to compete with it simply because market is with ethereum and to replace it from the market is not a thing that can happen in near future.

I agree with you that ETH 2.0 is the new ETH. Serenity launching (or The Beacon Chain) hasn't had a major positive influence on the price yet (still early days until people catch on ), if at all, but I think the next phase of ETH 2.0 which is Shard Chain due to be released in 2021 will make a major impact as transactions speeds will increases by 1M

Please stop this kind of topic. There's no point discussing who will be the next Ethereum. Since a few years ago, there have been discussions like this and a lot of tokens and coins have been said to be the next Ethereum.
But not any of them did follow the path of Ethereum.

I agree with your statement because your point is completely valid. This is not kind the topic for the discussion. There is only one ETH and there are no other coins that would replace ETH or take its place. As per the above post, many people have claimed this thing already and some of the people have had suggested many coins names to replace ETH but none of it had capable to take place of ETH.

If we talk about replacing it on the current rankings maybe the xrp is the biggest contingent and we already see it for so many times where it the number 2 spot base on the cmc rankings. But for other new coins claiming to be the next ETH well I doubt there's no one can do that since first this coin is been here and got a good adoption that's why it's so hard to get overpowered by the other who claims that they are great.

According to my estimate replacing Ethereum from its place is absolutely impossible and I don't think there is or will be any coin to beat ethereum ever as we know it took many years for eth to reach the current position and one day a new coin will come and replace it is that a joke? Through this years in my own opinion I haven't seen any coin to replace ethereum. There are many coins already competing to be the next but until now they failed their claims. Look at the current market on which coins are on top, still ethereum leading among other altcoins.

It is just the same asking which coin is next to Bitcoin?
Do we have a coin capable to replace Ethereum? XRP again? It for sure not BNB, nor XRP could take it. It was just before that XRP makes a step over ETH but that was a very short cut and it back to normal again and I was supposed to think that what we have now, ETH still dominating in the altcoins.

maybe EOS once predicted to be a strong candidate to challenge ethereum., but so far ethereum stil be winner. for new project they have to give many prove that worth to be ethereum competitor. the first thing was about trust, if they could prove as trusted project investor will look it as good assets. to beat ethereum , projects need many things to do . especially on network scalability and smart contract creation.

In terms of the ERC-20 hegemony which has made Ethereum the prime choice of developers for Alt projects, there are plenty of alternatives but not many will find it easy to succeed. There is no dearth of developers and investors willing to put money and time into creating startups whose products are based on Ethereum. That community is its strength.

There are alternatives of all shades like Polkadot, Cosomos, Lamden and a lot else. Yet Ethereum had the benefit of being PoW and with it the confidence of being decentralized. When it turns to PoS or some other form of it, i doubt that people would like to trust it with the same kind of monetary confidence that they currently do. That is the chance for the next PoW based, smart-contract platform.

I think at this juncture and time in the crypto space, we need to stop asking this type of question because ever since I have come across this question in particular and with the series of suggestions people gave, Ethereum is there as the best altcoin, it is still there as the second top coin. Also, I have seen many coins whose developers believed that Ethereum is limited and have series of issues, but yet those coins and their developers are no where to be found and Ethereum on the other hand, is still waxing strong. So the better we stop asking this question, the better we come to the understanding that no other coin can be like Ethereum or replace it or even beat it, the better for all those who have that mindset.
If any developer believes his coin is better or will do better, then let him develop it as such; in such a way it will be attractive and get the attention of more users.
