No one is talking about Bitcoin gold nowadays and no one is using it for making payments or any other purpose. There was a time when BTG had some value. Back in 2017 December, the exchange rate was above BTC0.02 per coin (the current exchange rate is around 98% lower). Those who invested in BTG have witnessed most of their capital going up in smoke. And if I am not wrong, BTG is no longer in the top-100 list of Coinmarketcap.
All the hard forks from bitcoin are often talked about replacing, like in the past, BCH was busy being discussed. even the hype at that time was strong enough to raise the BCH price. Right now I don't think it will happen again. trends such as not repeated in the future. nothing can replace bitcoin. however the altcoin cycle will change every year. like the trend this year defi becomes a profitable investment

BCH will not replace BTC. Altcoins have their own market although they are sometimes linked to BTC movements in the market. trends may always change, but market movements have almost the same cycle. we can study the market even though it doesn't happen 100% exactly but it happens almost the same. the popularity of ICOs replaced by IEOs, and now the DeFi project has become a market concern to keep the market warm.

Next Bitcoin?
Just forget about that coz whatever it happens in the future, no other altcoins ever replace Bitcoin. All coins that have been made after Bitcoin are called altcoins, which was clear enough to understand and there is no need to ask again.

Bitcoin Gold, Bitcoin Cash...maybe we can call them next to the line. That is really acceptable.

BCH had some powerful backers (and still have some), and that's how it was kept floating for so long. But the BSV hard fork weakened BCH by a great deal. Also, some of the promoters have tried to cash out their holdings and make exit. BCH still has a lot of future potential, especially at a time when BTC/ETH users are being forced to pay sky-high transaction fees. But first they need to put their house in order.

Even ethereum the top 2 coin extremely hard to overtake bitcoin. We need to be realistic if there is a coin that will surpass bitcoin the coin must be place on top ten and btg was place at number 116 on coinmarketcap  very far, but no one knows the future maybe yes but for today and the next 3 years i may say btg has no power to defeat bitcoin.
In my opinion it is definitely impossible for bitcoin gold to shift bitcoin from number one,
until whenever it won't happen so I guess it's just a waste of time thinking about it,
and it is true what you say that we must be realistic too

I don't see BGold gaining any momentum. I haven't heard any news of it in a long time. I imagine since their is not a lot of interest in this coin that the supply is more concentrated than Bitcoin. If it somehow started to increase in value then I think the biggest holders would see it as an opportunity to cash out and that would crash the price.

it is too early to mention bitcoin gold to be one of the replace of bitcoin in the future because there are still many good coins that are more appropriate to replace bitcoin Coin It is Ethereum because Ethereum development always looks good high volume in all markets and quite fast price movements in the market

First off all this not financial advice Roll Eyes

After manipulate trough main media Game stop lost most of its Value .because rich people dont allow us to win.Sec etc wont do a thing .poor people never get rich because they wont allow it

Like George Carlin said its https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cKUaqFzZLxU

When i started in crypto the media told us bitcoin wil be forbiden so many years, banks sec forbid people who wurk for them to buy BitcoinBTC

So many red  flags in the media that they wil ban bitcoin Not many people could hold btc because of the news and big tech,
one excample
in 2017 they say: this there many excamples,
As the price of Bitcoin and Bitcoin futures have risen in 2017, one Morgan Stanley analyst has a radically different take on the digital currency. In a markedly different take Today’s Bitcoin price is around $16,000, but analyst James Faucette said in a research note last week, that the value of Bitcoin could actually be… zero.

In a research note titled “Bitcoin Decrypted,” the Morgan Stanley analyst outlined several reasons for why Bitcoin may have no real-world value, Business Insider first reported. One reason is that it’s not a real currency, Faucette said, since Bitcoin has no interest rate attached to it. Another is that since it’s not a physical object like gold (which can be used as a precious metal), it lacks an intrinsic value.

these day they say 2021

Morgan Stanley’s global strategist has made a case that bitcoin is making progress towards replacing the U.S. dollar as the world’s reserve currency. “Do not assume that your traditional currencies are the only stores of value, or mediums of exchange, that people will ever trust,” he warned governments.

Now whe have a change a real opportunity a new short cut BTC = Bitcoin Gold it have the old chain from btc 2009 its excatly the same til fork date So if you lost 100 btc in 2010 you lost 100 Btg also

see your self

https://btgexplorer.com/block/51

also most people lostBTC coins trough FBI BTC-E And Mount Gox me lost BTC those day to

BTG only have one real problem  the price is to low so network have many attacks because lack of miners ,
But if price increase Miners wil increase network would be strong and investors wil come then a new BTCor BTG is born

The suply is same as bitcoin the price of btg is same as btc 10 years ago  this could be a golden ticket a short cut of a new BTC and sec etc media cant stop this time
Btc is mined now trough big tech china

https://news.bitcoin.com/chinas-bitcoin-mining-industry-impacted-the-most-this-year-says-report/

Btg is mined trough people Btg is for all the people this a golden chance a short cut

Anyone can mine BTG with readily available graphics cards. Bitcoin Gold uses Equihash-BTG, also known as Equihash(144,5) or Zhash. This version of Equihash uses more memory than an ASIC can muster, but runs fine on many graphics cards - maybe even one already in your computer! Try it - and join our forums for support from a like-minded community.

its like how Sathosi wanted to see BTC

i only want to share the real vision of Sathosi the price today is $11,5 all stil have a change to have a real BTG

The fact that new coins are produced means the money supply increases by a planned amount, but this does not necessarily result in inflation. If the supply of money increases at the same rate that the number of people using it increases, prices remain stable. If it does not increase as fast as demand, there will be deflation and early holders of money will see its value increase.

The $ £ ¥ ₩ wil fail soon they wil say trough Corona
Funds wil not hold value so people need to store value
You can store at btc 40k or store value in btg $11
Easy choise .or buy gold or silver in real this the only way

Take care life your life, life  your live as you  want take control of your life

And ty for reading

Sathosi

It is necessary to distinguish first which bitcoin and which altcoint.
if your question is like that then I will spontaneously answer "CANNOT".
BTG is an altcoin, if it is to compete with the value of bitcoint it could happen, but I think it's a little bit impossible. now very many people believe in bitcoin that it is a digital currency that cannot be replaced by any altcoint.

Your must be dreaming dude Grin can you give us a reason or factors that BTG has a big potentials where Bitcoin don't have?
if your answer is you don't have any of it, that's a sign that BTG don't have a momentum to surpass it, just simple as that.
Besides, Ethereum actually is much more better than BTG to be honest with you.
I myself have never even thought that Bitcoin Gold can surpass or shift bitcoin from number one,
and I guess it would be a waste of time to discuss things like this,
what you say is true and for sure we all know for ourselves that ethereum is much better than Bitcoin Gold,
and if you don't believe it, let's see the development of Bitcoin Gold

No altcoin can be the next bitcoin, please forget it. Altcoins are altcoins forever and their values are smaller than bitcoin. YFI had a price higher than bitcoin some weeks but you will be wrong if you say they are better than bitcoin and they are next bitcoin.

It is a hype strategy to pump altcoins. Moreover, please see how old the Bitcoin Gold is?

It is a three years old altcoin and its all time high is less than $450. With this lovely chart, Bitcoin Gold can x2,x5 in the bull market but it follows bitcoin and the general bull market. It is not a next bitcoin.
https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bitcoin-gold/
YFI (defi) has not gone more than a cycle in cryptocurrency, so it is difficult to predict its future.None of the bitcoin hard fork has anything to sell in this market now and the derivative of bitcoin killer is too old and dead, so bitcoin Gold should consider a better derivative to sell the project. Ethereum has more of the fight now and Bitcoin has become the Sovereign (SOV) in bitcoin.

How can you seriously think that some new coin could replace Bitcoin? Looking far ahead, I see that Bitcoin will be the first official cryptocurrency recognized by the states. And do you really assume that just like that, BTC can be displaced and a worthy replacement found? Roll Eyes

Thank you for the time you took to review
Atm btg rised from $11 to $30
Remember Btc is mined trough big farms
Btg is mined trough all people in the world
What do you think if price keep going op and more people wil mine btg then btc it could be epic

Despite the recent spike in exchange rates, BTG has lost its relevance in the cryptocurrency sector. There was a time when BTG used to rank among the top 5 cryptocurrencies. But now it has lost so much of its value, that it doesn't even figure among the top-100 cryptocurrencies in terms of market cap. Along with this, the adoption and acceptability has also declined. It will take nothing short of a miracle to prop up BTG back to the golden days of 2017.

Why do shilling up too much about BTG? Bitcoin might be on extreme rally as of this moment but doesnt mean that every coin that has Bitcoin name on it
will definitely follow the same in terms of trend but well its your own choice if you do believe that much in Bitcoin Gold. I would rather trust up
Bitcoin cash ABC instead of this one.Yes, its shit but this is better compared to BTG. So take some caution on dealing with it but everything had
the chance or probability of increase and we know that crypto market is famous to that.Good luck.

Bitcoin gold is capable of being the next Bitcoin but i will focus my attention on another coin that has a bigger market cap, with a similar Blockchain but much more lower transaction fees and this count is litecoin.
Litecoin in my opinion is the future bitcoin and the only obstacles i believe it will have its the slow transaction speed its blockchain has.
A project with a faster transaction speed and equally secure will definitely do the trick and i think a fork of litecoin can achieve this

Not Bitcoin Gold, Bitcoin Gold is not very popular among institutions but there is hope for Bitcoin Cash which is the result of the first Bitcoin fork, yes, the BCH price is still very undervalued, the BCH price should be above $ 10k also following Bitcoin, somehow it will be. but I have known Bitcoin Cash for the past 4 years, and this coin is very controversial like Ripple.

I am sincerely sorry that I cannot agree with you. Bitcoin will never be replaced by a coin. Bitcoin Gold is no longer the position it started in the market. You can easily understand that by looking at the graphs of the last few months. I do not think anything could be next bitcoin, nothing is like bitcoin, not even ethereum, but could this thing make some people some money? Well of course, so many coins went up in the but BTC will rule forever in my opinion.
