I think there's no need to argue about bitcoin and ETH.  Both are the best coins in the market.  If bitcoin is unique, then ETH has been at the altcoin king for many years now.  Since being overtaken by XRP in 2018, ETH has quickly regained its market share.  Selection issues will be depending on the case to suit the conditions of each person's investment fund.  I'm focusing on ETH more, as it's still a very promising eth 2.0 upgrade.

First of all i don't understand why do people compare btc and eth. When both btc and eth have their own value from their own place. Both are ruling the market for a long time. Maybe in future eth will be compared with other alt as there already have some competitors..

Exactly, I'm investing these two coins. There is no denying its value. There's no better copper than them right now...
But it's not fair to compare ethereum with bitcoin. If possible, invest both. Ethereum is the motivation, the foundation for the altcoin generation. And bitcoin is inherently king of the market. These two coins are great for long-term investment...

If your gonna share it for the long term Bitcoin is good for this thing, now when it comes to the short term I think ETH is good rather than bitcoin. But both honestly are good to hold in the long term I think in my opinion only. Moreover, when it comes to popularity Bitcoin is much more well known compared to Ethereum.

As all others saying, Bitcoin and Ethereum are making new all times high prices this year, and we can't deny the progress of both of them. I dont believe in competition between Bitcoin and Ethereum, they have different purpose, and we can compare these two with some other chains.
Bitcoin will always be the number one for me and many others. On other hand Ethereum have some serious competition and i am a bit annoyed by their high fees. Generally I am using cheaper chains for my transactions whenever I can! And there are food alternatives.

both are very good for long-term investment, but if you want to choose only one, then I recommend you to invest in Bitcoin, because the price of Bitcoin will definitely increase first if there is a bull run and of course investing in Bitcoin will definitely get a big profit for the long term, because Bitcoin is a very popular investment at the moment and the price of Bitcoin will continue to increase all the time.
