Hello, this is continuance of my original post topic=5328489.0.

$100,000 in monero gone, stolen by these crooks.
I had asked freewallet.org to send me one email with all requested info and I provided all the documents/selfies.
Then after a week they are requesting more documents. They told me not to post this but I was advised that I can post this and let everyone know what to expect when dealing with these scammers:

First they will ask you for a selfie.

Then they will send something like this:

To proceed with the verification procedure, the security department requests the following information:

1) Screenshots of your incoming transactions where we can see the hash, amount and the name of the sending service (another wallet, exchange and so on);
2) Photo of your identification document of the owner of the account: an international ID or a driver’s license (a photo of both sides).
3) Bank statement or utility bill where we can see your name and resident address. Information should be in English;
4) A photo of the owner of the account in front of the image “Attention” (attached below) on your computer monitor (if you use a web version of Freewallet) or near your mobile device with the app open so that we were able to see your user ID.

Once we receive all the required information, we will forward it to our security department for verification.

We truly appreciate your collaboration. If you have any questions regarding the required information, you can read more about the procedure here.



Then they will send something like this:
Please send us original photos of your ID and photos of yourself with your account settings section and the image "Attention" (attached below). Please note that screenshots of these photos are not accepted.

I am openly saying that we are following litigation and are suing the f*%* out of these scammers. I honestly care more about justice than the $100,000 these scammers have took from me.

From the user's point of view, they are in complete and utter uncertainty whether or not they'll ever see their hard earned money again... If you were holding my money, i would never use the word "safe".

I don't know the average income in your country, but $ 100,000 amount is not small to ignore doing research before depositing that amount, especially in a privacy-based currency like Monero.

Although all the allegations are against Freewallet.org, there are some successful money-back cases that have been carried out through them, so continue to provide the data they request.
In the future, remember: your keys are not your currencies, and avoid using Freewallet.org. They are not free nor a wallet.

I'm not shocked at all, because people are still generally confused about what cryptocurrencies are and what the differences are between fiat and crypto - and between the classic banks and services in question. If by any chance the OP had taken $100 000 to its bank and deposited it in the account, the bank would certainly have responded through its internal mechanisms and asked the owner to prove where his money came from.

The OP simply chose from all the bad option one that will cost him a lot of time and nerves, but that is the price he has to pay if he just sends $100k to a complete stranger with a catastrophically bad reputation.

I'm surprised that you are dropping here to comfort OP that his money is in safe hands when you have been scamming people all these years, I hope OP will push through with the case so we can stop this scammer from harming new people coming into the community, this is the reason why people have a second thought of investing, there are so many scammers, and they are not doing enough research or educating themselves on how to proceed.

hey guys sorry for the late update but yes i did actually. i was able to withdraw all of my money. horrible horrible experience. i still wouldn't trust their wallet with a DIME.

just give what they ask for bro until it seems repetitive and pointless. once the same photos and documents are being requested over and over again, do not send them anything else. put a stop to their BS before they get the upperhand and call this number im about to message you. hes a good lawyer and already has some cases lining up on them. hopefully it doesnt reach that point but expect 24-48 hour turn around times even if you respond right now, i literally stayed up some nights because i realized their support was responding early. i would respond right away and they would send that bullshit generic email saying they got my request and their revewing. 

honestly, you would think with their lenghty review process they would actually do some reviewing. i got away with 1 screenshot that was "proof of funds" for like 100x its amount. truth is, any exchange could outright fuck all of us. nobody could sit their and source all their funds whether it was from exchange, sale, investment whatever... a flaw will be found in most of the transactions. the fact that they think they can push us around and scare some people over that is not right. its disgusting and i still hope they sued every dollar they took. let me know if you need help bro

That's right, I will prove that Freewallet has indeed stolen my funds, the funds listed in my account are actually empty after I checked on etherscan, and Freewallet has transferred to Freewallet's address without me knowing. and they always reason they didn't steal the funds.

Are you really serious about this business? Because a case of one of your customers has been without any solution for two years, and now you are saying that you are still reviewing that case! It cannot be a professional way of working, it is clear from your every move that your motives are bad.

Yes, guys. Indeed, this is a scammer. I'm just starting my statements to review freewallets performance dealing with "customers" on many platforms as I just lost my trust with them. Since now a half of a year, I'm trying to move my ETH to another (trustworthy) wallet but I'm not getting an email confirmation which approves the transaction. Email has been verified, no other restrictions known.

I provided (many) selfies with this marvelous ATTENTION letter, I provided bank account papers showing end-to-end transactions since 2016 with the first money transfer to this ugly wallet. Fully transparent from my side. But they're not! Just getting replies like "it is under investigation", "provided to our technical department", "send to our security department" over and over again. This is odd.

The only weapon we have is to rise this issue on every platform talking on wallets. The more people see these complains the less the scam will be - hopefully.

And if freewallet-freaks are reading this: don't reply or remark to my statement. Just send me the confirmation mail, so I'm getting my coins back from your (dirty) hands.

It's their system to work! Even after seeing their bad reputation, a lot of users are adding new ones to this wallet and are struggling with their own funds. Two years have passed without solving a problem. If you look at the market trends and judge the whole thing, then you will understand the condition of the user.

Crypto users should refrain from using such a wallet and make themselves smarter. Because if crypto users become smart, such websites will not be able to fool them and keep their funds.

The solution to all your scam accusations is simple; pick one of the following options:
1. Require KYC right away.  Don't let your customers even create an account without it.
2. Don't require KYC at all, ever.  Not even when your customers deposit tens of thousands of dollars worth of crypto.

Of course, if you were to be so transparent and honest you wouldn't have the opportunity to use KYC/ALM as a bludgeon to steal from your customers.

You must know that many of your clients only use your service because they're under the impression that KYC is not required.  Many of these clients live in countries where crypto is illegal, and if they were to provide their KYC dox they are risking incriminating themselves.  I would guess that in some cases these individuals are entrusting their entire life savings in your care.  These are the people you are victimizing.  You and your kind are the most vile of villains.

So, you can claim that you're "trying to assist" all you like, you're not fooling anyone.

The broker I use has sent a document stating my withdrawal in 2019, where my wallet address is clear (same wallet address in freewallet account) and traceable where it came from and where it goes like TXHASH etc, But the freewallet keeps asking for other documents.. What you say is true, as far as I know if the exchange, broker or others ask for verification only need 2 documents such as identity and proof of address, (selfie if needed). I don't think anyone has gotten their money back this way yet, because the amount of complaints against Freewallet remain unsolved, so no matter how many claims you make against them, they don't refund their customers' funds. Their reputation on this forum is very bad, as their reputation is bad now they can't actually operate successfully on this forum anymore. But they continue their activities in other ways and scam the crypto users. So expecting something better from them is actually a misconception.

I have never seen any form of court battles from the victims. What I have mostly seen is them taking the war to the forums and social media like Reddit or twitter. Often times, if the complaint or tweet went viral, they (free wallet scammers) would be forced to get out their cave and act.

A perfect example was when they tried to block Elon Musk's funds, and he went out and posted about what had happened on Twitter

In most cases, those are just shills, don't even take their words with any grain of salt. We had so many of them here shilling a scam website like 1xbit even when other members were genuinely opening scam accusations against the same site.

What are you even saying??? Is this some kind of promotion? But if you must know, yes, a real user could say that, but that will definitely be the users that are still not the victims yet. We have categories of users and without going deep into defining them, you should know that there are high net-worth individuals, they are the target of services like Freewallet.

This is not a joke, it is real, and those users who are not yet complaining might maintain and transact a small amount with them which will still shield them from fraud. Even saying they have the fastest transaction (if such a statement is real and not fabricated by you) shows that the person is naive, there is no centralised exchange that will do less, except that it is even worse with Freewallet because you will have the opportunity to set the priority. For this, it could be slow if you go for the low priority as they will not do any magic in the blockchain, unlike most exchanges that are sending your crypto without the option of priority, which means that it is not optional so it must be fast.

Above all, I see no joy in holding your money in a centralised service like Freewallet that doesn't even have the features of the main exchanges (businesses, spot & futures trading). People are better off moving their money to self-custody instead of this.

A fraudulent company like Freewallet is still continuing its activities, the government is not taking any action against them, if the government had taken action against the frauds, then those involved with Freewallet would be in jail now.

On August 1, 2023, we filed an official crime report addressed to NFIB. This request is registered under number NFRC230806087223. At the same time, we created a petition calling for an investigation into the actions of the Freewallet administration. The petition is available at the link https://chng.it/hJhZVYp5Wy and has already received more than 30 signatures, mainly from victims of the Freewallet scam.

Unfortunately, NFIB ignored both of these appeals. Moreover, a short response was received from the agency’s employees that “Home Office Counting Rules set out the circumstances under which we can record a crime and on this occasion the matter you reported to us cannot be classified as a police recorded crime.”

This situation led us to file a complaint with the Independent Office for Police Conduct. Unfortunately, this measure did not lead to the start of an objective investigation into Freewallet’s actions.

British law enforcement officers are ignoring requests, and thereby covering up scammers!

The owners of Freewallet org spend a lot of money on advertising. In particular, they massively post custom reviews and laudatory comments. One such site is Sitejabber.com. If you look at all the reviews published there, you will notice many flattering comments in which the “client” praises the application.

And this is clearly not true. But there are also dozens of complaints from victims of the Freewallet scam on sitejabber. We contacted the resource administration with a request not to advertise the application. And our complaint was heard. Administrators have published a warning about the presence of custom reviews on Freewallet. We encourage you to leave your comments there too!

This is actually for the alarming crypto community, because when crypto users are scammed like this, it creates a bad mindset among crypto users about what is not good about crypto. Scams like Freewallet are still in the market because they are getting new victims so they can continue these activities without any problem. The crypto community must take a stand against this scam by creating awareness. The only way these scammers can be banished from the crypto community is by creating awareness, and it is therefore necessary for every crypto user to expose scammers like freewallet in every forum.

Well the good thing is that today I see much more reviews about Freewallet scam on sitejabber, Reddit, Quora etc, then earlier. Every website that notifies Freewallet also contains some negative reviews. That might help to decrease the number of the victims.

But all in all. If you have lets say one thousand dollars worth of cryptos and you want to find a realiable wallet for them, if you are not willing to spend few minutes to do a thurough search on the wallet, then its probably better if you lose your funds.

I have never had a wallet on freewallet, but wow these guys are cocky.. Advertising with big money and succeeding. App store and Google play, solid. Overall reviews solid.
But inside the truth, big hidden losses, and big thefts.

That being said, cryptos, especially monero and the hardly untracable ones are popular among illegal money.. So the burglars gets ropped. Its a good enviroment to rob someone who has robbed a bank.

Unfortunately that’s true, if you google about Freewallet you will only see positive reviews from fake accounts and complice websites promoting it a secure and legit wallet, while we could see the crazy about of people who got scammed with huge sums of crypto which they couldn’t get back. I don’t know how the first pages in Google search appears but I’m sure they have a strong promoting and marketing team to take over Google first pages. Even asking about it there’s details they confirm that’s a legitimate wallet.

And someone even tried to jump off the topic, claiming that scammers are the owners of Freewallet io, although it is obvious that most of the complaints relate specifically to Freewallet org.

If this good idea is translate into local language it will help to understand the bad working of this wallet. I think the victims of Freewallet are all over the world, because they are marketing their scam in such a way that this scam wallet is noticed by crypto users all over the world. All means should be used to warn crypto users so that no new crypto users fall victim to this scam wallet trap.

Not long ago, Alvin Hagg and his accomplices stole coins from another victim. The client turned out to be an educated and competent person. He did not waste time on long correspondence with the administration. On the contrary, he immediately recorded the evidence and filed a statement with local law enforcement. 2. Fill out all fields of the form. In particular, in the Logs or other evidence of abuse section, indicate that the Freewallet.org website is deceiving the client. Under the guise of a crypto wallet, this application gains access to users’ digital (cryptocurrency) assets. Further, under the pretext of verification, the administration of the service groundlessly blocks accounts and deprives victims of the opportunity to withdraw assets. 3. Click on the Submit button.
4. Duplicate your complaint by sending it to abuse@cloudflare.com.

2024 and nothing has changed. I GOT SCAMMED by freewallet.org! They send me in a verification loop forever now, everytime I bring what they request, they invent new things I need to send them.

Just to give you the idea what I posted to them : Photo of ID - My Freewallet Acount ID - A paper with my name written on it and a long FW text, i have access to my 2FA and the mail, still denial by them.
They asked for my Moonpay Transaction ID related to this, I send it, then they asked for a invoice of my ISP or other, so I send my ISP invoice, then they wanted a bankstatement and told me "this is the LAST needed thing", I send it, well now they want new things.
Obviously they are a scam company - I am fked, I saved these coins for emergencies, now I have one and these sc.....bags stole my money!!

It's a typical way they act. All that can be advised in this situation is to record all actions and correspondence for future investigation. Sooner or later we will be able to prove that all these numerous blockages are not an accident but a targeted scam.

Multiple bank statements and other utility bills needed and now stock at the proof that the transaction I did into Freewallet was actually mine. Officially they ask for screenshots, but if you submit those they will not accept, without even telling why they don't accept. Then they need video's then they need screencast. All in violation with there own T&C were they only require screenshots:

Send screenshots of incoming transactions or deposits to Freewallet from the SOURCE PLATFORM. The screenshot must contain the hash, amount, and the name of the sending service fully and clearly.

They drag this on and on, see below response example:
Please take a short screencast demonstrating how you locate the transaction to Freewallet on that sending platform account history page, open its details, and click on a link that redirects you to the blockchain explorer.

All done but still not released my coins - propably will come with another insane request without telling why they don't accept earlier proof. See more info on X where everybody has the same issues.

It is still possible to get your assets back. But you should know that only complaints and abuses help otherwise administration just usually ignores any tickets.

Apparently... If they really no  longer can make up stuff for you to send.. They just ignore you - no longer any response on the status of my ticket.
