Well, my favorite team (Rams) has been eliminated, and I don't really have any firm feelings toward Seattle or New England. But I just thought I'd leave a post here with my Super Bowl pick which is, undoubtedly, the Seahawks. Not only are they the better and more experienced team all around, but the Super Bowl this year will be held in San Francisco, so you can expect the Seahawks fans to outnumbers the Pats fans by a good margin.

It was quite a year for Drake Maye, he certainly surpassed everybody's expectations, but 'Hawks deserve to win more IMO.

Not sure how seating works for neutral events, isnt it supposed to be equal ticket distribution for both teams?
Regardless i dont think any team would have a fan advantage in superbowl, just a matter of nerves and which teams shows up more clutch

Patriots defense has been crazy good, no team has scored more then 16 points against them in last 5 games, pretty impressive.

I would love a super low scoring game tbh, as an under bettor

For the entire week I haven't seen any commercials promoting this Super Bowl LX which is in little over a weeks time. So it doesn't seemed to be hyped up as ones in the past.
The odds favor the Seahawks the last time I checked them.
But yeah, would have to agree with you there that it being in San Francisco we will see an invasion of Seattle fans since they are alot closer to the venue on the West Coast than the New England fanbase are.

I would love a super low scoring game tbh, as an under bettor.

I think every year the superbowl has been gradually decreasing in show value, purely from gambling interests i used to see huge number of giveaways/promos etc especially on twitter but past few years its been decreasing alot. Sites like stake as well used to have big giveaways and the yearly survivor pool which they stopped doing

you might be right but with how good patriots defense has been , the under 25 points value on seattle seems huge

Must agree with you on this about the media attention about the SuperBowl.
Only the Half-Time show gets more publicity than the actual game nowadays due to the music artist who is the main attraction who is Bad Bunny performing at this SuperBowl LX.
Who is getting even more viewers due to him being the first all Spanish performer to win several awards at the Grammy Awards last night including album of the year.

I don't know anything about Bad Bunny, but it was kind of hilarious how, way back at the beginning of the season when he was announced to perform at the Super Bowl, American conservatives were getting up in arms about it, how he ain't even American and don't speak in English. Conservative types have been writing football off as "trash" since before the Colin Kaepernick era... but someone who would let politics prevent them from enjoying the sport weren't really fans to begin with.

As for the big game itself, Seahawks win most likely. I'm not entirely comfortable with a line, and neither should anybody be...

All this controversy to do with the half-time act has made it a politically polarizing affair instead of a sporting event.
Some NFL players have voiced they won't even be watching it (well they should be in the locker rooms talking about tactics with the team and coach anyways) because of their own opinions on what has been said by Bad bunny.

As someone who identifies as a "conservative" (small case c) I can think of a few things the NFL does that are turning me off.  For example; 2/3 of the time I'm forced to watch commercials pushing junk food, pharmaceuticals, and taunting me with those sweet, sweet trucks that aim to keep me in debt.  But in all honesty, I can whine about the NFL and still love football.  It's just that there's no where else to watch the game.  Except at the local high school, maybe, but since my kids graduated people look at me weird for being there.

As for halftime shows, they've sucked for as long as I can remember.  I don't recall ever having sat through one, and the only time I regretted it was when Janet Jackson's dress fell off.  Also, there's that thing called a remote control that magically changes the channel, or mutes the foreigner singing about whatever foreigners sing about.

Kid Rock sucks.  Maybe not as much as someone who refers to himself as Bad Bunny, but trading one suck for another is still sucky.  Why can't we get Hank III instead?

I don’t think Kid Rock sucks, but I don’t think he’s a great choice for the Super Bowl. I don’t think Bad Bunny is either. I wish the NFL would try to keep politics out of it’s broadcasts.

Well being conservative even in the slightest, having the main act being known to wear a dress on stage during their concerts would be concerning, to say the least.
Even would of liked the Grateful Dead if they were still performing but their band members are dying off one by one. So that would be a no for their home of San Francisco.
But yeah, there is always the off button on the magic remote control.

I don't mind Kid Rock either. There was this All-American song I remember of his while growing up and would fit better to an American sport (this is called American football afterall) as an anthem towards patriotism.
But artists are whomever to the NFL and their choices from the past SuperBowls regardless, whoever is the most popular at the time.

Anyways, back to the actual game being played.
I am have flipped and going with the New England Patriots to win.
Seeing how much money is going towards the Seahawks, it is just crying for the ultimate upset just so the majority of bettors are wrong and the house wins.

As someone who identifies as a "conservative" (small case c) I can think of a few things the NFL does that are turning me off.  For example; 2/3 of the time I'm forced to watch commercials pushing junk food, pharmaceuticals, and taunting me with those sweet, sweet trucks that aim to keep me in debt.

The drug commercials are the worst. As are pretty much any company whose goal is to bombard your head with the same ads as many times as possible. Some of the SB halftime commercials are somewhat clever, and it just appeals to the same base instinct part of our brain that football appeals to when we see A-list celebrities in commercials. I still remember Larry David being in an FTX commercial a few years back. ha. Then Matt Damon's infamous "fortune favors the brave."

As for halftime shows, they've sucked for as long as I can remember.

I liked the one with Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, 50 Cent & Eminem a few years back. But in general, they're really just picking who they think will appeal to an extremely broad, watered-down audience.

I like that idea!  I like it a lot!  But, the Dead is way to fringe for the NFL, and there are plenty of locals who don't like them.  Knowing the way the NFL is these days, if they were going to go with a classic local band they would have chosen Journey or some godawful act of the like.

That's the trouble, they're not going to please me no matter what, and I've accepted it a long time ago.  My taste in music is far from "whatever is popular at the time."  That's one of the reasons I'm not a big fan of KR, I feel his songs are very commercially structured, formulaic, and lacking that soulful substance.  But that's like 95% of the music industry in my not so humble opinion.

Anyways, back to the actual game being played.

I really don't care who wins, no skin in the game.  I just want to watch a good game before our 7-month long withdrawals start.

Good bet and the smartest way to keep in profit from this really boring SuperBowl. If I were to be honest about it.
Only field goals for the first half and it didn't change until late into the game.
Didn't think New England was going to get a touchdown but then Maye started to get into a rhythm at the very end. But at that time it was too late.
Seattle ran away in this final game and never looked back. So many sacks and even an interception ran into the endzone for the Seahawks defense to put away the game.

It was a disgrace alot were saying to watch. And I have to agree with them. It was a no contest game.

Glad I forgot to put in my bet and actually put in a late bet on the Seahawks when they were 1.44x odds.
So got something out of it aswell.
But the odds you got must of been boosted a bit because all day I was only seeing what I got on the favorites but the Patriots were between 2.95x and 3.00x changing every so often.

Think Kenneth Walker got the SB MVP award but it was the kicker Jason Myers who reached 5 field goals to break a record for the most made during a SuperBowl.

Thanks, I also thought the game was about to end with the Patriots not scoring anything, but the defense suddenly got tired, and both offenses quickly went to work in that final quarter.

The odds I got for the Seahawks were slightly boosted only because the line was about to close. I recall it being stuck at 1.42 for more than a week before it suddenly jumped to 1.47 in the final few minutes.

Their kicker for sure also deserved the award, but I guess it was a tough decision to make because if their offense lacked firepower like the Patriots, then he might've had less opportunities to kick it.
