Market cap of Ethereum and Cardano are far from each other. So if ever Cardano reaches $12, the price of Ethereum will be higher than $3k by that time.

Ethereum is about to reach $3k which is the ATH for this year and could go on for some more. If there is the best digital cash, it won't ADA but if it's having its momentum, we'll never know but we'll see it soon if it will.

Will Cardano overthrow Ethereum?

Does it matter? Why is it important to in some factors be better then someone else? Quention you should be ask yourself will any of them be used more as today 10 years from now. Or how much more will be used. If Cardano overthrow Etehreum but they are used 10 times less as is Etehreum today that would be very bad for both. And me giving you answer to your question would not help you much.

I personally will not say it's possible and why? Does it make sense to talk about ADA vs ethereum while ADA could not beat BSC?
It looks like the people who have been using ethereum already migrated to the BSC rather than ADA. We can't see the marketcap of ADA will much bigger than ethereum.
It's impossible for ADA to reach $12 because ethereum can reach a higher rate than this time.

For a long time now, many coins have challenged Ethereum in whatever way they can, some will say they will offer more transactions speed, others will say they will ensure their is low gas fees and so on, but yet, Ethereum still remains the best smart contracts platform, and still growing. Yes, the gas fees on Ethereum is high, but from all indications we can see that the team are already working on it. However, there is also no doubt that ADA is one of the top coin in the crypto market with a good team and nice use case, but we should know that, in as much as ADA team are working on their platform to make it more attractive, in the same way, the Ethereum team are working on theirs to make it more scalable.
Hence, in my own opinion, no coin can overtake Ethereum as it stands because the team and developers are ever ready to improve and more improvements leads to more growth.

Doubt. they do have very good technology. but when compared to the current ethereum, it's quite unrelavant. ethereum probably currently has the highest scalability value among similar protocols. With Ethereum's current achievements, it is very difficult to replace Ethereum both in terms of technology and market cap

Cardano, even if it is taking the number 7 position in the market, it has a long way to go to compete ETH and definitely not overthrowing ETH. One should ask first, how many successful projects that ADA has under their network? Also, the ETH platform has long years of developments already, that is why they attained the number 2 position just behind bitcoin. ADA is a very promising platform, however, it is too early to even think that it can overthrow ETH. We need to see first successful projects under ADA and see their respective feedbacks on using this network.

Ethereum's creators like Vitalik Buterin were criticizing Bitcoin for high fees and saying that Ethereum is more scalable. When they got hit with high fees, they start singing a different song and claimed that high fees are good.

If a coin doesn't have high fees, it's either because no one uses it or because it's heavily centralized.

Cardano could be a very valuable altcoin in the market. can be considered good as a project and infrastructure. but it is certainly not that easy to overthrow the ether. Over the years, many altcoins have been called ethereum killer. but none of these could knock over the ether. To overthrow the ethereum you must reach its level. In my opinion, it does not seem possible for cardanon to reach the ethereum level in a short time or even in the long term.

It's just what they say, it won't happen although they do have big plans for ADA. Recently they were doing some event in Africa in which they say they got a contract with the government of Ethopia, the price spike a bit for a moment. There are many rumors for this project but end up now very effective in making the price go up.
The only way you could find out about its real value is if they release the smartcontract and right now they don't have it after years of planning.

Have we found that ADA has a big help to the community more than enough to surpass ETH? NO, and that gap separates ETH from the other project and even BNB which is the 3rd in rank has not even able to dethrone ETH as we know that not only the price and market cap we base but that is it gives an important role to the market. ETH supports ERC20 tokens while ADA doesn't have.
I believe that ADA will grow but not in a way that it replaces ETH. Too far from happening, maybe BNB can do.

There have been a number of those thread now in the recent days and weeks. Will polkadot be the next Ethereum, will BNB overtake ETH and now this one. I personally don't think, that a project will push Ethereum away from the second position in terms of marketcap. At the moment ETH has more than 3x the market cap of XRP at number 3 and around 8 times the market cap of cardano. I think the recent upgrades of ETH and therefore the lower transaction fees that we are seeing since more than a week now will probably consolidate the second postion of Ethereum even more. So i can't see cardano push away ETH of his throne in the near or mid-term future.

can surpass ETH is not realistic for now though ADA is one of the good potentials to hold in the long term.

Over the years, a lot of people already keep telling Cardano is the Ethereum killer. But for me, Ethereum is already proven since the beginning.
One of the main features of Ethereum is smart contracts, which is already there for how many years and become useful for the cryptocurrency world.

ADA will never able to surpass ethereum and this is the fact. You can ask bunch of people about what they will choose between ADA and ether. I do believe there will be saying ether as their choice.

I believe that Cardano and Ethereum can happily co-exist and continue to grow bigger and bigger. The strong potential of both networks are both established already. Right now, Ethereum keeps on growing despite the complaints of the many due to its unbelievably high gas fees in all transactions under its network which means those with small value coins and tokens are taking a backseat. Cardano on the other hand got many things on its sleeve and can be a big leader soon in the cryptocurrency market - the only thing right now is that it seems to me that its growth has stopped temporary and is having a hard getting past the $1.40 or $1.50 barrier. I am hoping to come back to this post maybe a year from now and hopefully ADA has already gone to the Mars.

ADA is a good project and they continue to grow with a great support from its community, it can be a good altcoin but i don't see any need to overthrow ETH on top because they both have a great network and there's a huge supporter behind ETH as well. Right now, ETH continue to rise reaching $3000 today is a big growth so it will be hard for other altcoins to take over ETH right now, maybe in the future but not this year, ETH will remain the king of altcoins.
