Everyone could afford a piece of Bitcoin we don't actually need to own a whole piece or send a whole piece of Bitcoin so I don't see any problem with it.
I think I would love the idea if it would be what all of the bounties would pay their hunters.
It would ensure that the hunters would get what has been promised to them and the bounty manager should also hold at least half of the allocated reward so if anything happens the hunter would still get paid for their work.

I thought that Bitcoin or BTC is the token of BitcoinTalk Forum, so why need to create a new one? IMO, the BitcoinTalk forum was created for this purpose to disseminate information about cryptocurrency and I believe the worth of this forum is much more compared to the Bitcoin market capitalization that's my opinion about it.

You don't have to own the full 1 bitcoin just considering the current price. You can always convert even your $ 1 into small units of bitcoin, namely satoshi (sats). So there's no reason people can't afford bitcoin.

What service do you mean? As far as I am concerned, the bitcointalk does not have a service for paying members. If you have a service, you are free to choose bitcoin or existing altcoins as the payment you accept.

I'm not seeing any possibility for that to happen. Because for using this platform fair and legit way, you do not need to pay anything; if you want higher membership to show pictures then you can go for paying some fee for copper membership other than that I'm not seeing anything charged here (except monthly auction for banner display).

I remember there were lots of similar suggestions were made but Theymos never listened to them.

Some people suggested to make merits as a coin/token but that also had been rejected by this community and by our honorable admin (theymos).

I wonder what people mean when they say Bitcoin is not affordable. I guess you said that because of fees, or do you mean everyone can't afford 1 BTC ? You can buy any amount of bitcoin and still benefit from the price increase. I don't see much difference between people owning $10 worth of bitcoin & $10 worth of altcoin and using it on the forum.. The fees will probably discourage users from small/micro transactions

Howeycoins is so much good and successful that bitcoin talk would never require another token.

Though I think, an internal blockchain and token would be cool for such and epic forum. It doesn't need to have a monetarily value and maybe never get listed on any exchange but work within the forum only. Could experiment with new algos and make a POS coin. We could experiment merits as tokens which could yield another token called smerit just like how NEO is to GAS but it would turn into merit once sent to another user. That's just an example, but we could experiment something.

If bitcointalk creates a token than those token also needs to have a sort of utility otherwise it will not get any adoption or trading volumen. One utility could be that stuff like copper membership can only be bought with that new token but i don't see that as a big advantage over the current method where you pay with btc. On the other hand there are so many tokens out there that have no real usecase and utility and still have a high marketcap but i still feel that a bitcointalk token is not really neccessary.

Don't say this. Everyone can afford to buy bitcoin, it's not a requirement that you should be purchasing 1 bitcoin as a whole. You can buy in satoshis or mbtc at different quantities. You don't actually have to own one thus your goal is to own one until it reaches to the highest possible price that you can ever imagine. It's the misunderstanding about buying bitcoin, it's expensive because of its price but it doesn't mean that everyone is restricted to buy it because there's still a way to buy bitcoin and you can purchase a little by little of it.

I think it's impossible for us to implement any coins right now since we are just mainly focused on how to improve our long time community which is the best from all of the crypto community exist today. No other token is absolutely necessary for the payment, issuing a token for the bitcointalk would only be a reason to generate relatively simple revenue but the work will be enormous to keep this value high.
They will need to create an ecosystem around the token and use cases for its use.

Theymos is accepting GRIN coin in this forum afaik, there are also users who thought he might be part of the team that developed the project but that is not confirmed. He could be part of more projects actually, we don't know since he is a private person.

To be honest you're not asking for too much considering that now there are meme coins (like BShiba, Akita and more) everywhere messing up and congesting the whole of ETH blockchain. To see a token for bitcointalk in my opinion is not the worst of the jokes - it could be done - all you need is a developer and a few connections in the industry

I also don't see any reason on creating your own token since this forum already accepts many options to pay for advertisement and yes Bitcoin started on this platform so that's the best option that we have. This forum made a lot of contribution in cryptomarket, actually this is my main source of knowledge with regards to cryptocurrency, at the same time a good source of money for me.

I don't remember the cryptocurrency name exactly, but it is found within the top hundred on coinmarketcap. The project is based on the article developing. Based on the content we provide we'll be rewarded with the respective token. It has got value in the market. Same as that we've got merit in our forum, there users will provide tip based on the quality of the article.

Already there are similar products. As of now everything have grown through our forum and our forum having a separate token isn't a necessary one.

BITCOIN is a good representation of what we are discussing with it. I have always been in favor of using BTC, and it doesn't take much effort to create a separate coin and bring it to the market. We're still here having fun with that, creating a standalone coin just makes the forum centralized and loses its essence.

"There is no justice for those who cannot compete". We always hear this word of wisdom everywhere to justify those who have everything, the platform like what you mean does not get tokens to trade, isn't sales very much determined by demand.

There are many alternatives in Altcoins today to use, just look for opportunities and the right time to invest, Bitcoin itself takes a very long time to make them top 1, meaning that all coins have the same potential in the crypto world, the only difference is how the coins itself in promoting to gain people's trust.

Likewise with Altcoins, when more and more are launched, the extent of their influence and profits for people to invest, if this is not fulfilled and cannot be presented by altcoins, they will never be able to match Bitcoin. Doge has now proven that they have good opportunities in the future, although not as much as Bitcoin.

And if there's a coin that says the same name as the forum, it's a total scam. As said, the forum won't produce any type of token that's under the wings of the forum.

You have to understand that during the creation of this community, there is no altcoins yet? and ever this is, altcoin is just minority and people chooses BTC as the prime mover of cryptocurrency market.

But I do agree that the community has evolved so much, from BTC to altcoins, but this still remains as predominantly BTC, 90%.

BTW, how many active users we have right now? It should be around 10,000 if I am not wrong? BPIP lists a total of 98,735 active profiles, but those who make posts at least one in a week may be around 10,000 IMO.

It is strange, isn't it?. Bitcointalk is the first cryptocurrency forum, and it was established in November 2009. Satoshi himself was an active user here for more than a year. The earliest adopters all had their accounts here and during the early days the entire development work was discussed in this forum before being implemented. How can such a forum have near-zero valuation? Ideally it should be having a valuation of a few billion USD, right? If BNB can have a market cap of $56 billion, then what prevents Bitcointalk from having a similar valuation, given the fact that the marketplace here is much older than Binance?

Why would we need a token as a own payment of service? As far as i know the only thing that you can buy on this forum are the copper member ranks and some ad space. I don't really think this is enough to justify the generation of an own token. I mean a token is generated pretty quickly nowadays but if there are not enough use cases for that token i don't see it survive very long, everyone could just go and create an bitcointalk token on ETH, BSC or waves or whereever they like that would be not the problem. The hard part is to create a ecosystem for this token in order to make sure that this token will be actively needed and therefore also traded. A dead token that no one uses isn't benefiting anyone.

I don't remember the founding date of this forum but since the day I got the job as well as doing part-time work on the airdrop, this forum has been a huge conference for bitcoin and crypto fans as a lot of projects are posted here, count on projects and success, traffic and advertising fees have been a tremendous amount of wealth for the founders. But I’m still going to say that: having a token for the bitcointalk.org forum will be unnecessary, since this forum was created solely for bitcoin at first, before they later decided to have other subsections that are dedicated to altcoins. I guess it is already commercialized, look at how many people here have signatures right now, and how many of them got paid for it as well (yes including me), as you can see it is already commercialized. What it could do is actually give people tokens for posting, and the price would be decided by the buyers, which will be companies who do signature campaigns, at that point only the token will be allowed and companies would have to buy that token to distribute to people, while they buy, posters would sell, and there would be a market for it. Don't get me wrong I am not saying this is a good idea or a bad idea, all I am saying is that it is an idea that already exists and could be implemented with a token which is awesome. This is why I believe it should not be done but if it were to be done then it wouldn't be really that shocking or brand new idea neither.

It should not be as merit. It should be something more tangible. Merit can not be traded for cash in reality. Everyone could afford a piece of Bitcoin we don't actually need to own a whole piece or send a whole piece of Bitcoin so I don't see any problem with it.
I think I would love the idea if it would be what all of the bounties would pay their hunters.
It would ensure that the hunters would get what has been promised to them and the bounty manager should also hold at least half of the allocated reward so if anything happens the hunter would still get paid for their work.

I do not think that this proposal will be supported. 

The founder of the Bitcointalk forum is Satoshi Nakamoto (creator of the first cryptocurrency - Bitcoin).  In 2010, Satoshi Nakamoto disappeared, handing over the management of the forum to other people. 

Today's administrators of the Bitcointalk forum are bitcoin fans.  They do not deny the value of other cryptocurrencies, but they do not encourage them either. 

As far as I know, the only coin they have singled out among the rest of the altcoins is Green (a very technological coin with increased anonymity and privacy).  But the main coin on the forum is bitcoin.  It is Bitcoin that is used to pay for all services on the forum. 

As far as I know, the creation of the Bitcointalk forum token has never been declared as a goal.  The Bitcointalk forum is pretty conservative in this regard. 

It will not issue a forum token, NFT, or any similar asset.  Particularly due to potential regulatory issues.  IMHO.

Sounds like a good idea, but the token must have real use case in the future.
To get the trust from members, the token should launch from launchpad platform so the funds will be secure.
Maybe you can give your idea to theymos as the admin of bitcointalk forum here.

This is the first bitcoin forum and most people on this forum are more focused on bitcoin than any alternative currency. If there is a token for the forum then bitcoin is the most reasonable compared to any other token.

Creating a new forum token is a bad idea, you should remember bitcoin and bitcointalk are both jointly owned by Satoshi. We should respect and preserve his legacy instead of trying to replace or damage it.

I'm worried if this forum launches a coin or token because it might later cause a loss of community trust in this forum if there is a decrease in the price of the coin, although basically this forum is a place that always discusses the growth of cryptocurrencies but I didn't expect the BTT forum to launch coins or tokens, especially now that there are thousands of coins on the market and even more so that we just have to choose a few that we think are good for investment.

The name of this forum is Bitcointalk, so I think it will be confusing to spring up another token, it is actually a diversion form the main purpose of this forum. Secondly, there are many tokens already in the market, so why border to create more. Moreover, Bitcoin is the leading cryptocurrency both in domination, popularity and in security so why go for something less? Bitcoin can be used for payment in bounties if the Project owner decides so basically IMO, there no need for a token for the platform.

Not really much needed or not that relevant because this forum itself is made out by satoshi which means Bitcoin (his creation) is the coin that represents this forum thats why its really just not

The forum is working with a purpose, and there is nothing needed more. As said there won't be any use case, and creation of such coin can serve as ruining of the forum value. This forum could've never gained importance if it is part of some shitcoins. The success of the forum is out of the Bitcoin and lets be with it than finding a new token.

There has been a link between the forum name and bitcoin since its conception, this is enough for us and we don't need another shitcoin. There are more than 20k altcoins available right now, which is more than enough to get you started if you want to invest in altcoins.

if you're talking about rewards, you shouldn't expect the forum to reward everyone using alternative tokens. you just need to go the bounty thread and there you will find some campaign bounty projects that will reward you and maybe the tokens can also be traded in the market

Yeah, and as prime movers, this community have seen attempts to clone it, like the two sties that you mentioned, and if I'm not mistaken way back 2018, a slew of them comes along after the huge bull run we have in 2017. But all of them fail. And it really doesn't make sense to have our own altcoin, there are thousands already and what difference will we make in the cryptoverse if we have one? Right, there's none to offer.

Actually it's not what you think, I believe your statement is the initial impact of the emergence of coins or tokens so that the enthusiasm of the community will focus on trading Bitcointalk forum tokens, but launching tokens is very easy but risking the reputation of the forum must be considered because it must be a long-term concept for the utility of the project. They must disposed with this kind rellation with btt forum.
