At least we will still see the fight though not that exciting anymore. It's not Spence's fault, he had a valid excuse and I'm sure Manny's camp will also verify that as they have prepared a long period of time for this fight. Ugas is a good replacement though, he is not undefeated but he had some good fights.

We have been so hype of the Spence fight that we all are very excited. But the good thing is that we can still Manny fight, but it will be against Ugas, which I think Manny will win. Ugas is tough, but in the level of Manny Pacquiao. Good luck to Spence, I hope that he can recover from that detach retina. Wonder though where he got the injury, from the car accident, or his recent fight from Danny Garcia or from sparring.

I don't think it will get any higher than the current odds though, so I decided to put my bet on him and just wait for the actual fight. Goodluck to those early bettors though, ML is really very attractive, so it's better to bet early.

I guess my bet will be voided now, Spence withdraw from the fight because of retina tear in his left eye.

Lucky Yordenis Ugas, he was supposed to fight the brother of Marcos Maidana as co-main event, but now he is elevated to fight Manny Pacquiao.

Spence will have a full operation in Wednesday, they have to hurry and to fix it through surgery, he is still young so no doubt that he will recover. But not sure if he can still have a crack against Manny in the future.

The silver lining of this situation is that we will probably get to see Spence vs. Crawford finally. The situation becomes very interesting Manny's promoter could opt for a replacement someone with a good record like Garcia or Ugas although we can't consider them as great as Spence, at least they are current and past champions, I don't think Crawford will fill his shoes, there's not going to be a last-minute deal because they both have promoters that couldn't agree in the past, but we'll know let's see the development this coming days.

People guesses lot the same, he could do the checkup or confirm that he want to cancel at least a month before the fight. Either he's afraid/ in doubt he could win the fight or not prepared doing it. Many fans are upset  now. ╮(─▽─)╭

It is really devastating for the fans that just several days before the actual fight, Spence Jr. had to call it off. That is really a huge disappointment but we can do nothing about it. That is what the situation calls for so we need to accept it. It is really unfortunate. But I guess it is better this way than put someone to an unnecessary risk because of his medical condition.

On the other hand, this is a great and unexpected blessing for Yordenis Ugas. He should be extremely inspired to perform this time. He's got nothing and he'll be facing a legend who's got everything.

Well, it seems to me that it is not news that arouses much joy even for Manny fans, the fact that Spence is not present if it takes away some of the emotion from the show, now as Ugas will replace it, I do not know how much they can raise for it, Although now the trend for betting may change and go in another direction, the preparation by Yordenis must be under a lot of pressure, only 10 days is not enough, the physical preparation for the fights is everything. There are bettors who seek to make appraisals for athletes, and according to that is what they make the decision to place bets, I think that evaluating Yordenis right now will be somewhat more complicated because there is little time left.

Yeah mate, I've seen a lot of late replacements really pulling some of the biggest upsets in any sports and that's what me feel nervous on Ugas.

Pacquiao has a lot of training partners that mimics Spence qualities specially the height advantage. Hopefully though, it won't be the case for Manny, we don't want a B level fighter just ruin his career if he lost to Ugas as a replacement fighter.

But we can't do anything at this point, Manny understands that severity of that eye injury that was discovered on Spence on a routine physical check up. Well, there's nothing we can do. The eyes are one of the most vital parts of our body and for Spence's career so I guess his decision was just right. You cannot force a fight that could potentially make you blind.
