Hey there,
I profit of this topic to ask my question here.
I'd like to get some matic Polygon but I see like 2 versions of the coin?
Matic and matic network... What is the difference. Is one of it deprecated/abandoned?
Thanks for any intel

Both Polygon and Solana are great networks and real competitors to BSC. They all enable dApps to be built on, enable cheap & fast transactions, and both have fairly large communities that build on them.
Despite this though, Solana has probably had a much faster growth rate and overall the community is expanding faster but other than that it is hard to compare the two as they're both great is just that Solana is accelerating quite a bit faster than Polygon.
Both projects are good, but only one prioritizes decentralization/security/censorship-resistance above all else. Polygon relies on the ETH blockchain to achieve this, making it a better option than Solana. Of course, not everyone will think this way. There are people who prefer convenience on top of anything else. Solana has its own separate blockchain network, so chances of it achieving high TPS are extremely high. But this comes at a cost of reduced security/reliability/decentralization. Consider how Solana faced a network disruption not long ago. If it was as secure and decentralized as Polygon, it would've resisted such an attack. For this and many other reasons, I think Polygon (MATIC) will lead the way for a very long time. It's not about an specific cryptocurrency, but rather Blockchain technology as a whole. As long as projects work together to improve Blockchain tech, nothing else matters. Just my thoughts

I'm more interested in using a polygon wallet (Matic) than solana. Solana in my opinion is a bit complicated, maybe it could be because I rarely use it. Matic itself has now changed to polygon network which aims to solve problems on the ethereum blockchain because the fees charged are too high.

I think Solana would overtake even Binance Smart Chain one day? Why? It has some properties that are really desirable in a proper blockchain, for example faster transaction speed and much more lower transaction fees. I feel BSC fees are topping up, probably because of popularity caused by its more dapps
Why don't you think logically about this, because in the past many people said that BSC will overtake ETH one day, but in reality none of that exists even though the transaction fee on BSC is cheaper than on ERC20 which is owned by Ethereum, but none of it was able to overtake ETH. Likewise with Solana, she will not be able to overtake BSC just by relying on cheap transaction fees and better transaction speeds, because the rival is Binance, not shitcoin. Sometimes comparison columns are designed as just a plan by public opinion and users to put pressure on a certain platform, as is the case with Ethereum and BSC then Solana, almost all have system tables for speed and cost, it's not to impress users, these little boards are built by users and some experts to help the platforms know the advantages and weaknesses of their competitors then confirm the needs of the market, since then, major platforms have the appropriate adjustments. Users are always silently fighting for their interests, they trust the old and high-quality platform, instead of the new platform

I prefer polygons to Solana, currently more and more large projects are using the Polygon platform so I'm optimistic that in a year Polygon will be in the top 10, devs. use Polygon because of its many advantages and is suitable for making large projects such as DeFi and NFT.

If it were between Matic or Solana, I will choose Solana right now as under Solana's belt, there were many more interesting projects than Matic. OP has mentioned NFTs and I totally agree with this. Even many of NFT projects in Solana will fail but if only one good comes out of it then Solana will receive a lot of benefit from daily usage by NFT generate.

Solana and Polygon Matic are worth as investment assets for the future but better with Matic polygon to buy and hold because still have lower price than Solana have raise above $160, I think with long term holding Polygon matic have chance break out above $10 for the future if Dex Polygon exchange have been popular and many trader active there, when volume transaction up easy for Polygon Matic raise above $10 and I believe could be more than 20$ next two year with Matic coin.
If you got shorter budget to invest, Matic might be fit for you, and yes, both are good as they are competing, In the long run, both coins will improve in terms of value when there are many developers who will use this chain with the chance in gaining more value would be expected by all those who believes. A matter of how successful they will be adding to this industry and how they will face those challenges along the way.

Both projects are good, so we can't say one will replace the other. Which one to choose is entirely your decision. I'd go with Polygon anytime simply because it's a Layer-Two scalability solution, meaning it has the same security as the main Ethereum blockchain. The same cannot be said about Solana. Consider what happened a while ago where Solana faced a network disruption and you'll see what I'm talking about. Security/reliability is what makes Blockchain best. Maybe someday Solana will become a "force to reckon with" with subsequent network upgrades? What matters is how useful Blockchain technology is. As long as you're able to put the technology to good use, nothing else matters. Just my thoughts

There are many speculations that someone might have using the Polygon/Matic network, because the low fees make people want to transact quickly, because we know that transacting with the Erc20 network is because of the high gas that makes people reluctant to transact using networks like Erc20/Solana. ..

Well i think it basically depend on the usecase what the action you are performing i personally think i will invest in the matic blockchain it is still a early project to invest it envolved in the Dapp , Defi , Dao and Nft's on the other hand Solana is straight away giving competition to the ETH network it had low fees fast transaction and also recently we had seen a huge pump in the Solana network so both these coin had great future and with time we can see Alot of project launching in these blockchain

For now I choose Polygon, I'm currently trading on several polygon platforms and it's very enjoyable because of the transaction speed and very cheap transaction fees, I'm sure Polygon will enter the top 7 in 2022 because there are currently many large projects developing the Polygon platform.

-snip- Polygon had a well-developed NFT ecosystem with many tools, marketplaces and other products being built on it. It has more than 150 NFT Dapps and marketplaces like OpenSea already built and working on it. But Solana is undoubtedly a worthy contender.BTCBTCBTCBTCBTCBTClots of the NFT/ game project on Solana ecosystem. Such as :$Aurory ,Burnt Fiance , Solanians Plus : new NFT marketplace -SolPixel Powered by Solana what is your options or opinions? I invested in these two coins at the end of 2020, both coins have a good ecosystem where both have a lot of game developers and Nft, but for now I prefer Matic since there was a problem in the Solana network last month, we know the vision and mission of the Matic platform , I hope this coin has a bigger market cap to be in the top 5 cmc

Currently Matic is still ranked 21st and Solana is already ranked 6th in CMC, now if you leave Solana just because there are a few problems that Solana's side might be able to solve immediately, then it is a small mistake for you because Solana always seems to be getting up, but Matic still tends to walk in his usual place.

The ease of use of MATIC pleases me, now a lot of projects are deployed on it, for example DEFI monox.finance, using the same Metamask.
With SOLANA it's a bit more complicated, yes it's strong, yes they started on Coinlist, but its price is unreasonably high. The place in the CMC does not say anything.

I don't think that it makes sense to choose between these cryptocurrencies, since the possibilities and technologies of both cryptocurrencies are simply incredible and therefore I have been using the technologies of both cryptocurrencies already long time and in the future I will do the same as both cryptocurrencies have very high quality and reliable technologies which constantly help me in my purposes, I also believe that the prices of these cryptocurrencies will only grow in the future because the potential of these cryptocurrencies is simply incredible and that is why so many big players invest so much in these both cryptocurrencies, of course, both cryptocurrencies have both pros and cons, but overall, I believe that these cryptocurrencies will have an incredible future.

In my opinion, these two Altcoins are very good to choose, because in terms of their future potential they are very convincing. But if I had to choose one of these Altcoins, I would prefer Matic Polygon over Solana, because Matic Polygon has a very clear vision and mission and I believe MATIC will be everyone's choice compared to Solana.

I prefer matic polygon..because it has a strong community and the cost is cheaper. I'm sure this year will fly high for matic. I hope the matic team will not lack of ideas to develop their ecosystem

For me personally, MATIC and SOLANA are coins with great potential for investment in the future. If you want to invest for the long term then I recommend both. SOLANA has reached a new ATH in early September this year, while MATIC has not yet come close to a new ATH. So, it's better if you invest both.

I prefer matic polygon , because the Matic blockchain is also listed on Opensea, which makes it have a high volume of visitors and a better market has a solid future for those who trust it

For now I choose Polygon because many of my assets are in Polygon, the thing that makes me like Polygon is the speed and very cheap transaction fees, this is the hope of the future of the world transaction system so Polygon deserves to be the first priority.
