If you are holding a strong project then the long term is good, but a token can give a maximum of 5x-10x in 1-2 years that I think is very less, but If you do mid or short term by the following trend you may get more profit then long term. So in my view mid and short are better than the long term.

Yes, for some reason it is easier for people to sell coins than to choose and invest in them. When you sell, some kind of instinct triggers that turns off the brain. I also do this when I have a panic mood due to a drop in the price of some coin in my wallet. Despite this, I try to keep my nerves in my hands and this allows me to avoid unnecessary emotional and material costs.

Depends on what coin you've been holding because not all coins would really make out some pumps in the future and only a few of them does make out some significant pump and the rest doesnt  really have the chance to move its price even an inch.

Neither its an intentional pump by whales or totally just basing on demand an interest.These are the main factors on which price could move.

So it will vary on what coin you've been holding on.So its a matter or risk that you could actually put up.

I agree with you but not all coins will grow/pump. For a coin to grow over time depend on it's use case and how the team is able to manage the project. For instance, the team  can adopt an aggressive marketing strategy to drive awareness to the project, so when investors come and scrutinize the project,  they will see that such project is worth their investment.
For the use case,  I think it is of immense importance because the project will die a natural death if it solves no problem. Giving solutions to problems/challenges should be the basis for building a project.

Researching many things about altcoins to be selected is indeed very important to do. however many cases occur they are still difficult to commit with altcoins to hold for a long time.

In my opinion, that will possible. Not all but there are some altcoins which could always bring profit for you for long hold.
