If you bought Bitcoin from the price of something around $30k and wanted to sell at $60k, you made double already your profit, and that is your profit.
The important thing is you have a targeted goal of profit when you will sell it, because you will never gain profit if you will never sell it at a high price, if you hold 1 Bitcoin it will always be 1 Bitcoin.

In my opinion, the goal of the HODL philosophy is to make more profits compared to when you just sell after a short time period or after few percentages up. If you buy and already got a significant amount of profit, then the logic thing to do is to take profit at areas and zones that are thought out to be that top. Sell there, buy back later when price has corrected.

You don't have to HODL all your coins and you don't have to sell all your coins. If you need to buy something and you don't have fiat for that, just sell some BTC if you really-really need it. Of course the problem here is that those coins can grow 10 times higher in a few years, but I think this is the beauty of BTC - it really makes you be more responsible with your money. Just believe in which path you are going to take, it will always be something that no one has the answer to. You just have to decide for yourself.

I have seen the 2017 bull run so i can advise you from my experience on when to sell in this bull run. For sure, we can't have similar patterns which played in 2017 but if you see a massive bitcoin rally to 100,000$ - 150,000$ in a matter of a two weeks to one month, then it is time to sell all your bitcoins as that might be the top. However if we keep on moving slowly towards 100,000$, then there is no need to sell as bitcoin won't dump if it reaches targets like 100,000$ slowly and gradually.

Also, bitcoin has managed to always get over its ATHs, so it'd be wise to keep them instead of spending them as they seem to worth more in the future. Yes that's true. There is no precise answer of whats the ideal time to buy and whats the ideal time to sell. It all depends on your personal strategy. The main thing is you must not do greed when you are in profit, just set a target price and sell as soon as you are there. I still know people who buy BTC at 10k and still HODLing, waiting for BTC to reach 100k.

Everyone has a different profit target, so only we know when is the best time to sell Bitcoin. It is impossible for everyone to have the same target,
after all, everyone has different life needs, when we have an urgent need and need money it's a good time to sell the Bitcoin we have. That's one of

it seems that it must be returned to ourselves who can determine when and what to do. I agree with you that the right time to sell is when we feel that the calculations we have done have made a profit. even if it is not necessarily fixed to hold it for a long time, if it is bitcoin it will always be profitable.

I've read an article about a company "Stock exchange company" that has their workers buy a certain stock and they don't sell that stock but just "HODLL"

Well, the ideal is always that those who own BTC want to save it and even more so knowing that their last ATH was very good, and considering that the next ATH will be much better than the last one, it is a matter of patience to wait like this for about 4 or 5 years but it is something that will really be worth doing.

30-40% profit is really good in the short/long term. Everyone won't be having similar strategy. My friend who is into holding of cryptocurrency have set a timeline. When the specific timeline is being reached he will cash it out unlike the market. This can bring him profit as well as loss. Stop losses would be relevant if you do make out some purchases on some altcoins which it would really be understandable that you do really need  to look after for its development and updates

Hodl is the best way to get a satisfying profit, but it must require strong patience and if you choose bitcoin for Hodl and for the long term nothing is impossible you will definitely get a good profit and most importantly be patient.

Holders and traders are two different things and I don't think they should be the same during a market correction. Holders tend to ignore price volatility but traders will be very active in monitoring the market during corrections. In this case I seem to agree with you.

I don't know the reason why holders would sell their assets during a correction, but traders will most likely do it just to secure their capital so they don't lose too much. It all depends on the respective strategy, so even though profit is the goal of both, their targets and behavior in the market will be very different.

Traders can sell their assets in order to buy them later at a better price and get profit from these transactions. The holder will never do this, because such manipulations are always accompanied by risks, and holders do not need these risks. They are confident in their assets and are waiting for their goals no matter what happens in the market. I don’t worry at all about the bitcoin that I hold, but there are definitely concerns about altcoins.

every decision of the holders is different because this is what makes the difference between them but most of them do that when selling and the decision to buy is something that must be done carefully so that most of the holders make purchases in installments in order to get the lowest price. .. So I keep hearing HODL, HODL, keep holding and all that. My simple question to everyone is "when is actually the right time to sell Bitcoin or we don't ever sell it"?

 How then do we say we have made money from it if we don't sell?

When you make a profit after buying something, you will sell it. And if you have a lot of losses after the purchase, you will hold on.You hold on until your profit is coming.I don't think there should be a long-term hold. I bought a lot of things and held on for a long time. The market grew enough and I made a lot of profit but I didn't sell.Now the market has drawn a lot and I have lost a lot from my original profit. That's why I say if you have a little bit of prophet in something, you will give it up, never hold it for a long time.
