Seems that Tesla is testing payment in Bitcoin and another coin called SHIBA. However upon investigation it seems that the coin is called SHIBA but when he did a test transaction the address started with D. And then he did a test payment on the Doge network and when the payment was accepted it confirmed on the Tesla servers.

Never in a million years would of I guessed that he was actually serious and would start accepting Doge. Was assuming he would accept Bitcoin and Ethereum. Definitely not Shiba or Doge.

Wonder if someone will actually buy an entire Tesla vehicle paid for by Dogecoin.

You know how Elon Musk and Tesla are always on news headlines? Yea, this is one of those stunts. People may or may not actually use SHIBA to pay for a Tesla because I assume SHIBA holders are only a very very very small minority, but this is just great marketing from them.

Elon's Tesla is still hungry for attention despite having much of it already. I don't understand them. But I don't really care if Elon's Tesla will resume accepting Bitcoin or not. I don't care more if aside from Bitcoin, Elon's Tesla will be accepting Shiba Inu or Dogecoin. Let Tesla accept both of them if they wish. It makes no difference. In practicality, you are right that no one would spend DOGE to buy Tesla, people who make big money do trust a real coin like Bitcoin, so even if they know that would happen, and Elon being the CEO of Tesla, he could always play the hype for his personal gain.

Elon's involvement and investment into Dogecoin is not a secret. Of course that he's hyping it, he's been doing that for quite long already.

That Shiba thing has been trying to gain hype from Dogecoin's popularity and I find that tweet about Tesla more an attempt to hype Shiba than Dogecoin.
And when Elon has turned down Bitcoin payments, he was implying that Doge may get accepted faster (and hyping it yet again...) So, again, nothing new here.

I doubt someone will really try to pay for it. Considering how he is now making more hype, they will just continue to HODL all those Shiba coins.
He is using the Bitcoin strategy to make the value of it grow. He might be avoiding the truth that he is one of the top investors of both meme dogs but it's already obvious.
I wish people just learn from the past mistakes in the crypto industry but it looks like history will just repeat itself.

Guess they are back on their manipulation attempts again and looks like they are now going after more altcoins around but I'm not totally surprise about this news since for sure Musk will be back to gain another millions of dollars for manipulating the minds of people in crypto. the ltc/doge merged mining via asics is a solidly backed network with huge amounts of asics.

You have btc the largest asic network most gear ⚙️ etc.

you have eth blended asic/gpu very large gear network

you have doge/ltc the third largest asic network no danger of a 51% attack.

so that is only four well backed mining coins.

Elon Musk denied that he hold SHIBA coin.  

I want to know if Elon Musk really has this SHIBA coin which is he denied in the Tweet above.  IMO, it could be there's a pump that will happen in the entire market and this has really contributed to giving a boost to the crypto market price.  Or it might Elon Musk trying to make money on SHIBA seems like what he did on Dogecoin.

I don’t think he is doing this to pump his Dogecoin bags, he is the richest man on earth. I don’t think he is really investing his capital into Doge maybe just his free time.

Shiba definitely won’t be accepted at Tesla, this is just crazy. And I don’t think he bought Shiba either.

Here is what I think,

Like Phil said, Doge is very secured due to LTC mining. Doge is more or less like LTC, maybe missing the Segwit portion. If he accepts Doge, maybe people will use Bitcoin to buy a Tesla car and use Doge to buy accessories such as floor mats. The fees are extremely low for Doge.

However I think that one day, perhaps Dogecoin will be rebranded to say something like PowerCoin (bad example) and I’ll be taken more seriously with this new name rather than Doge which is nothing but a meme coin. And who knows one day it might be a top 5 alt coin.

This is a sign that Elon Musk will definitely do some more hype with Shiba and is this a sign that the hype will start with this news?
Of course Elon Musk is still a big influence on the crypto market whatever he tweets will definitely cause hype and the community will find out where he did it and this is the second Doge that is Shiba, but honestly I don't know if this will happen or not buy Tesla with Shiba, it's kind of a joke IMO.

Well that's probably new because to be honest i never heard such information wherein i though they only accept bitcoin or just a survey? Actually base on my simple research as of now only one company start using doge as payment for buying tesla car is called puerto rican technology company that selling local cars. Not yet for tesla but of course it if just a survey and they received a good percentage of doge for sure they will implement that as a payment option ASAP..
