Fury is actually more into actions than words. He doesn't care about any negative things being thrown at him. He's too focused on preparing for his upcoming match. I'm sure that it will be too hard for Whyte to beat him not just because of his edges but his focus and dedication.
Actually the harsh words during the meeting between the two were dramas that made the match spectacular, but one of them did not reply with harsh words like the Khabib vs McGregor (UFC) match, both of them must be very focused on preparing hard in the match to increase the winning points, April 2022 is big PPV match month for boxing, ufc and wresling.

That Khabib vs McGregor fight in UFC was so intense that it was the 1st time that people saw Khabib so angry that he jumped on McGregor's side without any signs of fear because the trashtalks got so so personal to Khabib and the fight of Fury vs Whyte is unlikely comparable to the first stated as it was just a way to get in each others head and not much of a big deal.

That fight against Anthony Joshua was way back 2015 or 2016 and Whyte lost via TKO, IIRC. Whyte can really do much better than that, that's why Whyte has been training hard to get his desired shape in consideration with the weight needed and he's been winning since then until he lost again to Alexander Povetkin. But sadly, he have a small chance of winning this time against Fury.
I will not say that Whyte is not talented but he usually crumbles under pressure, i still remember the press conference between Whyte and Anthony Joshua during their encounter and he feel for the trap, another announcement that is coming up is that Tyson Fury might be retiring after this fight and that is a surprising announcement from Tyson Fury shutting down a match up between Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury which everyone is waiting for a long time.
At least to me this is just another attempt to hype the fight and try to get more viewers, after all even if most of the belts are now being held by Usyk which has yet to fight the rematch against Joshua I think most fans think that the next fight for Fury would be an unification fight against either Joshua or Usyk.

Retiring now will deny Fury the possibility of becoming an undisputed, which is the greatest achievement a boxer can reach on their division, and I do not think he will deny himself the possibility of such an honor when he is so close to obtain it.

Who are those 3 voters for Dillian Whyte hehehe. I have speculated that Wilder might win versus Fury, however, after we witnessed Fury again winning has convinced me that he might retire as a champion. This will certainly be a knockout victory for Tyson Fury, however, I am not sure if this will be under 9.5 rounds or over.

@bisdak, @Boafeng. What are your bets or advice for this? Can this be an 11th round knockout victory for Fury?

Votes in Poll: 30
Fury win: 27
Whyte win: 3
Draw: 0

I am disappointed just 30 votes have been cast in the poll so far but Fury is still strong favourite to win. Hopefully the votes cast will increase to around 40, then 50 and more as we get nearer to the actual fight date. For me, I think Fury will dominate and win this fight fairly easily, no disrespect to Whyte but Fury is way too good a fighter, he is far too technically superior. Whyte will give it everything he has but will fall way short and will be defeated with relative ease.

I was actually going to just skip this event, but I might tune in just in case it's Fury's last fight. I'm a fan of his, but I just don't see the point of this match up. The only way I see Fury losing it through a freak punch, and that's only if Fury doesn't take this seriously, which he has a history of doing.

What do you guys think? Fury talking rubbish about him retiring? Or is there potentially some truth in it. At first I thought it was just to promote this fight, since more people will tune in, and I don't think the fight itself has that much hype. We just want to see either Usyk or Joshua against Fury. Obviously, Usyk has things going on right now which prevents him from fighting, but Joshua is right there, since he also can't fight Usyk currently. Set up the mega fight for 2023, and finally the fans will be satisfied.

Don't fret, there's still a few weeks left before the fight schedule. IMO, some other users haven't realized about the poll yet or maybe they ain't interested on this fight because it's crystal clear that Fury will when against Whyte, the latter's chance to upset Fury is so slim and that makes the fight boring or uninteresting. I wouldn't be so surprise if Fury will knock Whyte out in like 6th or 8th round.

It's almost certainly not going to be his last fight. He's probably just trying to sell the fight and make out like it's the last time you might see him. He has to try sell it somehow since Dillian isn't doing anything to promote it (which is Fury and his promoters massive fault for not contractually obligating him to show up for the promo events). I wouldn't miss this or any fight Fury is involved with personally. I don't think Whyte will trouble Fury but you never know. I think if Dillian is AWOL for the entire build-up it might add an extra element to the fight as well. Lots of people will think Fury is in his head or he's avoiding it so he doesn't end there, but maybe Dillian is trying to play his own game. Maybe he's been using all this extra time to just do some hardcore training for it.

I also doubt his statement, I don't seriously believe that this will be going his last fight either and I can't blame him for making that huge statement because there's almost no hype about this fight and he is just desperate to sell this fight. People already know that he will going to win and maybe almost without a scratch.

its very clear that most users here are fans of furry and i am one of them.. Lol  no just joking  Cheesy

By the way for me IMO i think probably it's not just because no one want to vote white on this match since this thread already have 740 views and obviously white has a good power as well to KO his opponent.. Perhaps its because furry is still a very favourite fighter on heavy weight division..?

That was my first thought too, you just never know with Fury. Half of his comments are absolute crap, and the other half he comes across as he's joking, and then he goes, and does it. Personally, I've lost a lot of my interest in Boxing just because of the politics of it all, and how we never really get the fights we want. I'm only interested in the heavyweight divison, and only really interested in Fury vs Joshua. Uysk to me doesn't have the same hype.

That's the fight I want to see, I'd be routing for Fury, but I don't actually care who wins at the end of the day. I just want to see it happen, and finally we'll at least see who's the best in the UK.

Probably Grin I mean it is almost clear as the day that Fury will win on this match, he's just waiting for the day of the said match to come and knock Whyte out of it. The fans and the sports bookies certainly do know about that, that's why he is the heavy favorite rather than Whyte.

Whyte is a decent boxer too but IMO he cannot just match Fury's capabilites and do a toe-to-toe fight with him.

Tyson Fury is really confident with his ability and i was not a huge fan of him and i really thought he was just talk and there is no way he is going to beat Wladimir Klitschko and that too away from his comfort zone, he went and defeated him and i became his favorite but then he made a sudden retirement and then to come back and defeat Deontay Wilder when everyone was comparing him as the greatest boxer of all time and even with all the excuses to come back and defeat another couple of times proved he is the best fighter of this generation.

The only fight i want to see is Uysk and Tyson Fury, the rest he will defeat them easily.

Fury has said a few times he's going to retire. He also mentioned he wants to fight Ngannou even after he's 'retired' from boxing. Fury v Usyk probably wouldn't be great to be honest. I'd predict Fury wins on points. They AJ/ Fury fight might still happen though. If AJ doesn't get the rematch sorted because Usyk is in Ukraine then the belts will be vacated and that might set up the Fury/AJ fight. Even if it doesn't I think there's still a chance it could happen.  There's still a market for it and it would be huge in the UK. I don't think AJ will give Fury much of a fight though so as much as I'd like to see it I'm not sure it will be all that great.

^ In a statistic record of these two fighters shows that Tyson Fury has more advantages than Dillian Whyte. I am also in favor of Fury's side because, in my own technical and physical analysis, he has an advantage record which has the potential to win this fight and as you can see, it is a people's choice. It could be, Fury is a horrible style match-up for Whyte but let's see what will happen. Sometimes underdog players will most likely have a crown at the end, I remember Pacquiao'smatch on this when he fought Yordenis Ugás.

I seriously doubt that Tyson Fury will retire after the Whyte fight, maybe this is his way to promote this fight so that many boxing fans are going to watch and buy the ticket because this might be his last fight.

I doubt that also. It could be he wants to use it as media hype to raise excitement among the boxing fraternity. It is business strategy Fury is bringing up. But if he eventually retires after the Dillian Whyte fight people are going to call him a coward for avoiding AJ or Usyk. Fury may not want such a situation. He has to concentrate on this fight, beat Whyte and face AJ. His fight with AJ should be more interesting than what Whyte's fight will offer us.

Despite Fury as the favorite here, Whyte still has a huge chance to win this fight only if he'll be able to counter Fury's strength and aggressiveness. There are matches where the underdog won so we shouldn't underestimate Whyte's capability here. He's also determined so he might surprise all of us on the ring.

This boxer is rich and has an influencer who will gonna coach them on what else to say in the interview so that they can maximize their profit. He won't retire after this fight because he is currently at the top and he still has the chance to take every heavyweight title out there and make some money through those fights. Nevertheless, what he was saying is just some sort of adding the sauce to his upcoming fights where it is expected for him to win it, but he wants to make us curious how will it end up.

I think you will be watching like the rest of us, do not skip the fight.

Fury cannot really consider retirement until he gets a chance at unification of all the belts. He is more than happy to face Usyk or Joshua or anyone else that holds the belts. I think he sees it clearly as beating Whyte then beating the winner of the Usyk/Joshua rematch then making one defence of all the heavyweight belts to give him the biggest payday of any heavyweight fighter - then retire undefeated.

Whether that happens or not is a different matter but even though a single powerful clean punch from Whyte, Usyk or Joshua has the potential to derail his plan, I think Fury will retire as undefeated unified heavyweight champion of the world.

Usyk has his mind on other issues much bigger than boxing because of the conflict in his country but he is definitely in the frame to have a shot at unifying the belts too. There is a lot at stake in the boxing world for Usyk but it fades in to insignificance when compared to serious issues beyond sport.

How quick do belts becomes vacant, if the champs isnt active? How long can Usyk participate in war, before the belts migrate to those who is on lower rank in heavyweights? If Usyk makes all his belts vacant, it will take a lot of time for Fury to obtain all of them. Instead of fighting just Usyk, Fury will have to fight winner of Daniel Dubois vs Michael Hunter for WBA, Ortiz vs Hrgovic for IBF and Joyce vs Parket for WBO. With current boxing realities, it will take years.
