Your opinion on side jobs

Side job become main job is possible but some people will prefer two income, to be earning more from side job, then side job will become the main job. I can not blame people that will later see the former main job as nothing and leave because it is not bringing much profit and side job will become main job.

What is the meaning of career job when there is no much profit, anything that man does that makes him the king is his career job, only children will not think like that. I remember when I was young, I want a career for myself, I got something related to it but no job, I see another job not related to my career, that was the end of my former career ambition.

Some people need to supplement their income by moonlighting (working in the evenings) in order to keep a roof over their heads. They work two jobs to feed their family and educate their children. Their 'day job' income is simply insufficient. Others are entrepreneurial, attempting to establish online or other part-time businesses in order to challenge themselves while also supplementing their income. They work from home in the evenings or on weekends to expand their business. Others prefer a 'passive income,' such as buying an apartment and renting it out on a regular basis. This means that they don't have to do much, it's just a steady source of income for them.

You would really be finding alternative if you do find your main job doesnt really able to compensate on your daily needs for you to have a good living which it would really be just common sense that

you would really be looking for other ways for you to make money which it is a normal thing that you would really be thinking about having more and that would really be depending on your skills
because not all  would really be that having skills or knowledge on doing so but be grateful on what you do have currently.

income is not a benchmark to consider work as a main or side job. however, many other people have primary jobs that have less income from side jobs. I mean it's a matter of priority. sometimes we build or look for side jobs because we have free time. well, maybe many other people sometimes change their side job into their main job when it has grown, but sometimes the main job is a choice and can be changed. besides, main or side job is not based on salary, it's your choice, and how other people see it.

I agree with you  people will  decide which job will be the side or the main job based on  it nature and characteristics of the job. Some people can still consider their two jobs as a main job this is be because of  the love and passion they consider it to be important. all this consideration of which job comes first as main job is based on passion  and not really how much it brings .

Definitely Yes, it is only called a side job because you have a main job. Even though job A brings less income over job B, both are still considered a job. It's just that one is your primary job, wherein you fully commit your day time while on the other hand a second job or side job is where you use up your extra time that brings income to your daily. Having a side job both have risk and consequences, but it is still profitable. It will only depends if you are satisfied with your income on your primary job or you want to increase it and your job isn't allowing you to increase it so rather than waiting for a promotion you find a side job that will satisfy your want of increased salary.

What a lovely phrase. Yes, you are correct that farmers' primary job is to grow crops and sell them, but how do they make money on the side? While they are waiting, they could be hired to clean other crops as a side job to supplement their income and provide for their basic needs. Also, there are people who are sticking to their main job because it is more stable than a side job. Yes, some side jobs pay more, but we don't know how long they will last, which is why it is better to stick with the stable one for now.

And to add that we can always do our side jobs at the expense of our homes, then that is even more convenient than working outside and stays most of the day. No wonder why most people nowadays leave their current jobs because they find better opportunities to earn more living in side jobs.

This is true on which in this  digital era on where you could find jobs easily but of course it would depend or vary on the skills you do have.You couldnt just engage into something which isnt on your line

of skills which you would really be having a hard time on finding a job which it is really just normal that you wouldnt really be chosen so its still matter of competition and not all would
really succeed into this career but if you do able to pull off some job as a side one then its great additional income that you would have.

That depends on, that side job in addition to paying more than the main day job and is really work that can be sustainable and we can participate in the long term. Then we can rethink and consider converting it into daily jobs, but if it has a high income but the work is not regular then I think it can hardly replace the current job.

Indeed. The job called as main job means it is stable (you're employed and its for long term) regardless of the salary. Even you're earning more in your side job it cant be called as main if it is not stable as a source of income. Currently its quite common for people to have a side job, given the inflation for almost everything I think its wise to have a one.

Seasonality is the nature that we will evaluate to distinguish whether the job is secondary or primary. It is up to you to determine how you will perceive it for yourself based on your personal circumstances.
For example, my main job is selling daily newspapers and a side job is MMO
So it doesn't matter how much income it will bring, because any evaluation criteria is reasonable from that point of view.

In reality, there really are people that only stay with only one source of income that they have. It's just a matter of what they like doing and that makes them comfortable for doing so.

Currently I do some side jobs because I have more time, I only work in the office 3 days a week so I can use the remaining time to do other productive things, side jobs of course can't be too reliable because they are uncertain. The current side jobs I do is grow vegetables, short-term fruits such as melons, cucumbers, watermelons and so on.

Well, the truth is that I currently believe that in every country the economic situation is getting more difficult every day, where I do not consider each job as secondary but as a Blessing and an Opportunity to continue getting ahead, particularly many years ago secondary work was considered an income more money that was had as for a "just in case", currently for many to have more than 1 job I think it is something necessary and more when you have a family, where it no longer matters how much you have to make an effort in order to guarantee the basics in terms of needs and satisfy them.

I think that any job is essential, or at least I see it that way, and each job must be taken care of.

That's right, as long as it doesn't violate the rules and doesn't do any harm, I think this is a legitimate thing to do because it's human nature to seek all forms that they can do to support their lives.

Many people including me also have side jobs, this is because the main job has not been able to fulfill whatever I want, some of the side jobs that I do are related online such as selling or renting a house or apartment in an area near my place so that it is easier for me to control and meet potential buyers, and I've been doing side jobs for more than 5 years and I think the results are satisfactory.

The income from my main job isn't enough to cater for me and my family, this prompted me to seek for side job combining the incomes obtained from these jobs is quite enough now, I also aim for a side job as a back up should in case the present job is not longer available I can easily continue with side job, on a good note, side jobs had really helped people from third world countries especially those involved in programming and graphic design earnings from these side jobs outweighs their salaries especially senior or experts in those field.
