I think SKY will be back in the next match, I was even surprised not to see him in this match as well because I read Zaheer khan saying that he is fit to play but wasn't in the team. Maybe SKY can solve the middle order problems for Mumbai Indians but the bigger problem is the bowling attack, there is no one to bowl along side Bumrah in the death, on one end you saw today Bumrah protecting runs while on the other end there was huge leakage of runs.

I am not sure about this SKY, my request is to put their name as i am not familiar with local talents. In the case of bowlers, Mumbai had a great opening pair in Jasprit Bumrah and Trent Boult during their earlier seasons and i was surprised to see that they did not pick him this season because they were a great opening pair and they troubled all the batsman and the main reason for their success in recent seasons.

Gujarat Titans played like i thought it would go and even during live betting at a moment in time the odds were above 3 for Gujarat Titans to win and i gladly placed the bet knowing a wicket of Pant would change the match upside down and that is what happened in the match  . Chennai up against Punjab next people. I bet on Chennai since their batsmen were on fire in the previous game and their bowlers let them down while Punjab aren't really on top of their game currently.

Thhampi also isn't in his best touch this season. I think it's better to try maybe Unadkat or Meridith instead of Mills or Thhampi in the next match. MI has to improve the bowling performance first.

Apart from SKY.. Vadapav also need to score some runs tho, he's averaging like mid 20's in last 3-4 IPL.

They also have Murugan Ashwin as bowler, he's good bowler too and will play most of the games. I think they're missing Bumrah-Boult kind of mojo, this was deadly combination so i guess new setup will take some time.  For allrounder category, BBL's (Aussie) players don't give me much confidence.

They could try Unadkat instead of Thampi. Both are okay bowler but Thampi is better with the bat and Unadkat (He now believes that he could bat too)  provides left arm seam option so he would get a game or two anyway.

Punjab is scoring at a good pace but they lost wickets at regular intervals. Now they have Odean Smith in the crease and he can hit the ball a long way and if he bats throughout the innings he will score a total beyond Chennai's reach.

When Pant was in the crease the odds changed drastically and if they had a solid batsman after that wicket, i would not dare to place a bet but Pant was the solid player and i felt one more wicket and they will loose the match and hence took the chance when the odds makers offered a good bet .

Lack of bowling is one big reason CSK are losing matches, if you see there was not even a single bowler in the first innings who was able to bowl very nicely, Initial wickets also were more of lucky wickets not some great deliveries, pace department looks too young only Jordan is there and he doesn't have a great history on Indian wickets. Even batting also does contain big names but their suns have really set now, Ruturaj & Faf Du Plessis were the only reason why CSKs batting looked flawless the last season and they could win the title last season, this time Faf has left the squad and Ruturaj's form looks nowhere near the last year mark, people would say that Dhoni's removal from captaincy could also be a reason but trust me it isn't, because Dhoni still has a lot of say on the field from what it looks on screen. I am sure he must be having a lot of say in the dressing room as well with Jadeja, his oldest chap as the captain.

Congrats on picking Punjab Kings as i did not anticipate them to perform the way they did and Chennai Super Kings was on a two match loosing streak and i was expecting them to change that but it was yet another disappointing performance from Chennai Super Kings and with this loss i do not understand with which team they can compete in this tournament.

In first round toss played a big part, team batting second successfully chased down big total but so far in 2nd round situation is completely opposite.

3 good teams at rock bottom on point table and still searching for their first win. Even RCB is ahead of them lol

I had a bet tonight for SRH but sadly, Lucknow won. New teams playing pretty well so far. I thought Lucknow and Gujarat will have a bad time but they are becoming reason for bad time for many teams LOL.

Lucknow and Gujarat have good players in the team and i think they have the right balance, i under estimated Punjab kings and went with Chennai Super Kings when picking the team in the competition but once the match started, i picked Punjab to win and Chennai Super Kings was a huge disappointment and i am not expecting any changes in their performance this season.

I wouldn't worry too much. Anything can happen in both the IPL and these prediction pools. For example, I was in the bottom of last year's pool initially and ended up on top towards the end.

Don't underestimate CSK and MI. They have returned from the dead on multiple occasions to surprise so many people thanks to their 'Never Give Up' mentality.

That's why India keep failing at T-20 WC. In T-20 less than 100 SR is considered sin and that too when you're batting at lower middle order

For anchor role SR should be around 120-130 but teams can't afford 2-3 anchor players in the same, at least not at number 7. If you want to win or compete in T-20 format then you need 140 or above SR kind of batters.

Between Rajasthan and Bangalore, my choice today was Bangalore. I know Rajasthan has shown outstanding performance in the first two matches. They are playing great in both bowling and batting. Yet I relied on Bangalore's players. In particular, I bet in favor of Bangalore only for Faf du Plessis and Kohli.

Rajasthan set a target of 170 runs in 20 overs. Good enough collection considering the pitch condition. However, their collection in the last 2 overs was 42 runs, it surprised me. Bangalore's bowlers needed to bowl more carefully.

RCB collected 40 runs without losing any wicket in 5 overs. 130 runs are needed from 90 balls to win. The match is still completely under the control of RCB. I hope I will win my bet.

Boult doesn't play for KKR so I guess you wanted to say Tim Southee. Southee is having a wonderful IPL so far, he has already got 5 wickets in a couple of matches but when you got someone like Pat Cummins, you have to make the difficult decisions. KKR's batting lineup is strong but you can't rely on six batsmen in a run-chase. Narine hasn't shown his batting instinct for quite a time now so seeing a bigger picture, it is better to have someone like Cummins down the order than Southee.

Btw, first match in Pune, can we say dew won't be a dominant factor tonight? Really wasn't a good feel to see factors like weather influencing matches to this extent so far this season.
