Am getting tired of all these one sided matches these days. Some teams are suffering a lot thanks to critical players getting injured. The playoffs stage this time around will be different when compared to previous seasons(2 old teams out(CSK+MI) and 2 new teams in(GT+LSG).

Lol. MSD, Rohit and Virat have passed their prime, but it's still entertaining to watch them play for various reasons.

Yeah they are going on rampage of loop sided victories. Becoming bit boring but it's mainly because 2 heavyweights not qualifying for the playoffs.

This is going to be the battle of the bottom two teams and this obviously does not have any impact on the IPL in terms of which team is going to qualify for the next round.

Right now it is really hard for me to credit which team is going to play better and which team is going to win because both are at the bottom of the table but I certainly think that CSK is showing good performance in recent times. Mumbai Indians have also played some good matches but if I had to make a prediction I will say CSK is going to win today.

Haha Finally first time after IPL 2016, we will get a new winner to this IPL, I really want IPL to become a bit more competitive like this, If MI & CSK or any other team builds so many wins and gets a huge fanbase, it will just become like Premier League, people only watching matches of MAN U, MAN C & Chelsea and rest of the teams just having small fanbases. But yes this match today which a lot of people call El Classico of IPL didn't really felt like one, anyways bottom 2 teams were fighting and they also batted like they are playing blindfolded, first CSK collapsing and then MI collapsing while chasing such a small target.This really shows how out of form both the team are this year.

RCB once again are choking towards the end of the tournament, now they have just one match left which is against the table toppers and inform team Gujarat Lions which means it is not going to be easy to get away with a win, PBKS, on the other hand, played really well, I think the sacrifice Mayank is making as a batsmen for bringing out best of Bairstow is really working, Only if Dhawan remains consistent, they now have a really strong first 6 batsmen list, I still feel they lack a bit on batting depth which you need especially if you are chasing a total. But to qualify they still need to win 2 in 2 which is going to be a tedious task, their one match is with LSG and other with DC which would be a knockout for both the teams. I think today's RCB defeat has kept the tournament still open for all the 3 spots to playoffs.

This might clear some confusion. Surprisingly last 5-6 days were full of one-sided fixtures but from now on i'm hoping tight competition for the playoff spots, fingers crossed.

RCB, Punjab, DC.. Poor guys are on waiting list since ages.

Ajinkya is taking too much pressure to be honest, he is not even playing his real game which is the technique may be the hamstring you are talking about is the reason for that, but I am pretty sure he is going to have the same treatment as Pujara in the next IPL. If you see practically now both SRH & KKR pretty much out of the game, Both SRH & KKR are bad on NRR as well, so even if like 3-4 teams clash on 14 points it's difficult that these teams will go ahead. I am taking 16 points as a qualification mark so therefore only 5 teams have a probability to reach there, the second decider would be the match of PBKS and DC on Monday.

Yes, 16 points is the qualification margin. As of now PBKS and DC left with two matches. For RR two matches left, but those are against LSG and CSK. So, PBKS vs DC will be the decider as mentioned. It is said RR have got the highest chance of entering playoff, if it loss both the matches then some twist will happen.

I have no idea what's happening here, everyone keep failing to chase even moderate score and it's happening when playoff qualification is on the line and everybody knows that it will damage their cause in the qualification.

In today's match between Chennai and Gujarat, I chose the Gujarat team to place the bet. Although Dhoni is now the captain of Chennai, there is no continuity in the performance of the players. Gujarat could have won very easily.

In the match between Lucknow and Rajasthan, I expected the Lucknow team to win. But it does not look like Lucknow will be able to win today. Though Rajasthan set a target of only 179 runs, Lucknow's top order was not able to play well. Lucknow lost 3 wickets in 8.3 overs and collected only 53 runs.

In today's match between Chennai and Gujarat, I chose the Gujarat team to place the bet. Although Dhoni is now the captain of Chennai, there is no continuity in the performance of the players. Gujarat could have won very easily.

I did not watch the match but the performance of Chennai Super Kings is really disappointing mainly their team managers who are not able to pick the right team for the match for most of the tournament.

In the match between Lucknow and Rajasthan, I expected the Lucknow team to win. But it does not look like Lucknow will be able to win today. Though Rajasthan set a target of only 179 runs, Lucknow's top order was not able to play well. Lucknow lost 3 wickets in 8.3 overs and collected only 53 runs.

Considering how difficult it is to bat second, i am expecting Rajasthan Royals to win the match.  Marcus Stoinis and Jason Holder is their main stay and if RR is able to break those partnership then it is a game for RR to win.

The match would have been competitive if the two Lucknow openers had batted responsibly. But the match was completely one-sided. The bowlers of the Rajasthan Royals are controlling the match. An experienced batsman like KL Rahul has collected only 10 runs off 19 balls. Lucknow could not return to the truck in this match due to not being able to play well in the power play.
