Well boys two epic encounters today, With fresh squads teams do look a bit unfamiliar at first but if you look closely new names are giving teams an element of surprise as well. Punjab Kings are epic this season, they have easily managed to chase 205 total with almost all the players given their performance team was never dependent upon just one person. This they have done without Bairstow in their team, I feel when Bairstow is back which foreign player will they keep out of the XI? Even Rabada will join them in the next match, on paper PBKS looks like the most balanced team to me apart from KKR, CSK & Lucknow on paper. But also PBKS have almost all the hitters in their side.

Hey guys it was a lucky day for me. Locked the winning of Delhi Capitals and Punjab Kings in a comfortable manner. The outcome of both the matches were the same as my prediction. Both were tough match, and the end turned all of the sudden from a narrow win towards a comfortable win. With the Punjab match once after the wicket of Livingstone I thought it is the day of Royal Challengers Bangalore. But things happened different with the performance of Odean Smith.

It is a great prediction, it is impossible to predict even if you are wagging live in the final 5 overs that Delhi Capitals could win the match nor Punjab Kings would chase a total of 205 runs. Shardul Thakur and Axar Patel changed the match upside down for Delhi Capitals and it was a great knock by Axar Patel and this is the first time i am watching Odean Smith bat and Punjab Kings have a match winner at hands which could change many matches in this tournament.

It was good to see SL's batter doing good in the IPL but i think Punjab will replace Bhanuka Rajapaksa with Bairstow because i also feel that he got lucky as his match-up was with his own team mate Hasaranga (another srilankan), he was pumped up against his fellow team mate as he already knew all of his tricks. This might change against other bowlers, hope i'm wrong but that's a only i can think of atm. Another possible reason would be that Punjab already have gun Indian batters and its hard to leave Caribbean Odien Smith. Windies hitters are hard to replace, damn they are beast and on different level.

Every team should follow this bat deep strategy where No-6,7,8 are contributing with the bat, that's what we saw last night.

Was surprised by both wins too. I gave up on DC after Shaw got out and never expected them to win comfortably against MI. The biggest issue with MI this season is their bowlers who screwed up in their first game.

I thought RCB were in a good place after posting 200+ runs, but Punjab made it look easy thanks to some big hitting towards the end. West Indians are rocking in both tests and the IPL currently.

Nothing is certain but Death, Taxes and MI losing opening match. They hardly win their first match, hard to understand why they always lose their opening game. Some hardcore Mumbai's fan might say that they are keeping their decade old tradition alive.  

I think dew also came into play in RCB vs PUN match or may be they are panuti team. Latter sounds reasonable argument.

This is the second time KL Rahul got Tiwatia'ed.

This match up was between 1 dull captain vs first time captain and i think dew came to rescue Pandya. Loving the fact that every match is going down to the wire, good sign overall. Sri Lankan players are also showing their quality but more happy for the 2 young Indian debutants.

PS: I think BCCI should keep an close eye on Rahul the captain (no issue with his batting) and Pandya the Allrounder performance.

Actually, credit should primarily go to Shami who destroyed the Lucknow top order. If he had more overs, I don't think Lucknow could have posted such a big total. Also, it was funny seeing Shami remove his former captain(Rahul) for a duck.

BCCI genuinely think that he can lead the national team in a long run, similarly fair amount of share holders in IPL thinks the same that's why he was offered shit load amount of money from the Lucknow. So may be there is some leader quality in him which we as fan can't see. From fan's perspective he comes off as dull leader and has no idea whatsoever how to handle pressure or in most case how to rotate bowlers or make clear strategy. Let's see..

Keeper bumped it on his hand, ball bumped on the ground before the 1st sleep was able to hold the ball.

Yeah, it looked dodgy from front on camera angle and was not clear if it was out. There was definitely bump but slip fielder's fingers also looked underneath the ball. Umpire could have check with side camera too but surprisingly he was in rush and didn't even bother to look from different angle.

I also didn't see on field umpire giving soft single before referring to the third umpire.

RR are off to a flying start. Their team is the best team among all in my opinion and I would be stunned if they don't make it to the playoffs. They have great batsmen, all-rounders and bowlers currently.

On the other hand, SRH keep performing like crap as usual. I have no idea why they decided to retain below average players like Sharma, Samad etc(References probably).

Coming to the match between RCB and KKR, I bet on RCB who disappointed me in their first match, but I feel that they will make a strong comeback in this one even though KKR looks strong too.

3rd - 20% of prize pool

More than one winner in the same category share the prize equally.

I think this rule is not needed and it's contradictory IMO.

Why contradictory? Let's say if 2 of them take 1st position, as per this rule both share the 50% prize ie. 25% each which is less than the 2nd positions prize.
Instead, it should have been like 2 person share 50%+30% ie. 40% for both and the 3rd person takes 20%. If it's 3 or more took the 1st place, then the entire prize pool is split among them. Or if 2 of then take the second spot, they both get 25% each.

Why not needed? Because, Superbru itself offers a tie breaker policy.

In the event of points ties on a leaderboard, position is allocated on the basis of higher WP total, then the higher MP total, then lower TDM. TDM is Total Distance from Margin: the sum of the differences between a player's margin predictions and the actual margins. Example: Where Thrashing = 4, Easy = 3, Comfortable = 2, Narrow = 1: if you picked Easy (3) and the result was Narrow (1), your TDM for that match would be 3 - 1 = 2. Lower is better.

So I think we don't need the rule mentioned in the main thread and  we could follow the tie breaker policy of Superbru.

For final tally we actually follow superbru tie breaker rules, If my memory serves me well then i guess we faced this situation at least 1 time, where 2 participants had same points, not sure if it was for 1st or other positions.

My understanding of this rule is that, we've 3 dedicated % of pool amount for 3 different positions (1st,2nd,3rd) similar to lotto prize/winners.

If more than 1 person sharing a same position with exact numbers, which is highly unlikely due to superbru system (Win, margin, TDM) so they should share the prize money which is allotted to that particular position. It's seems fair practice in regard to other winners also but please let me know what you guys think?
